I needed a replacement head for my series 6 shaver. I ordered it on Amazon Saturday 3-18. and it was delivered on Sunday 3-19. I expected a china knock-off and was pleasantly surprised when it was a factory replacement just as advertised. I am not a fan of Amazon but they do make shopping easier without having to drive to the store.

I like this shaver but now have to replace the shaver head again in less than a year. The blades start pulling on stubble making shaving painful. Not sure if this is worth it. I'll be shopping around.

I have used Braun 5 series razors for 10 years, changing the cassette after 12-18 months as it became less efficient - none of the replacement heads failed or became unusable…until about 18 months ago. A replacement head now has a foil that cracks and fails at about 6 months regardless of how carefully you shave, clean and maintain it. They are clearly inferior and not the quality they once were - take a look online and you will find numerous similar examples with Braun not acknowledging the issue. I have decided to reluctantly give up on Braun and switch to Panasonic.

My shaver is clearly marked S6 and so I ordered a Series5 - 6 shaver head. When received, it was a long way off being a fit. I was then asked for a model number but I could not see one. I was asked for a photograph, which I sent and was then advised that I need an S5 razor head even though my shaver is clearly marked S6. All shops are closed and so I am relying on a shaver which has a damaged head. The shaver is good but replacement heads have been a nightmare so far.
After trying to save money by buying the cheaper options I realised it doesnt pay. Those were totally useless as they wouldnt cut through butter in the summer, let alone through my daily beard growth. This BRAUN cutter however, works perfectly well.
I have used Braun electric razors for many years now and they do it right. The razor alerts when the head is ready for replacement, and this replacement head popped on in seconds to restore new razor feel. Braun razors aren't the cheapest but they provide the best shave day after day, especially when used with the Clean and Renew charging base.
I shave once a day and have a light beard. Once these replacement cutting heads were good but now something has happened. SOMETHING BAD. At a time when TV infomercial electric razors advertise titanium coated blades this is what? Tin? It performed poorly immediately and has only gotten worse and I clean it every single day. I also use an electric pre-shave lotion as I always have. My old Norelco razor performs in a superior fashion in every way. There is no reason for me to stick with the Braun brand any more with this totally lackluster performance and I strongly recommend that you consider their competitors first.
I have use Braun razors for about 30 years. I have always been able to purchase replacement heads. Now that I have the latest and greatest model, and need a replacement head, there are none on the planet. Is this environmentally responsible to make a product that fails in 12-18 months and not offer to repair it? Hope that Ford and Chevrolet don't hear about this.
Wish I'd read the other review before driving 50 miles round trip and bought 6020s from Walmart. Because the 'picture' manual (for Type 5762) it came with is pretty useless, I started looking online for manual - no joy. I tried 'replacement parts' and this is the only item for 6020s... and there apparently aren't ANY retailers ANYWHERE.Since the head is recommended to be replaced every 12~18 months, seem the shaver is a throw away since the replacement head isn't available ANYWHERE.
I am retired and so I use the razor 2- 3 times weekly. The head lasted less than one year and fell apart this week. I expected to get at least 18 months usage as their advertising says. I will try to find a new head and try again but I have little hope of finding a new head based on my attempts tonight to find one.
