This Braun Series 70S replacement cutter / foil comes without the fancy bubble wrap and package, but is secured in a small box and carefully wrapped inside! And the cost per box was just less than 20USD - that is compared to the in-store price of $34.95, which is less than the current price on Amazon. So I bought two from Walmart.com, b/c anyway these need to be replaced about once each year. What a great savings price! Thank you, Walmart.com. It pays to shop around.

Braun head comes in a generic white box. Clearly not OEM. The blades are inferior. I wish I had not thrown away my old 1 as it, after 18 months of use, was sharper than this 'new' head. I have to run the shaver over my face multiple times to get it to cut and it never gives me a close shave. I thought I needed a new razor, but it turned out to be the cutting blades. I contact the seller and they gave me a refund, but I had to go back to Walmart to get it. They said their system was down and couldn't do it.

I wanted a Braun shaver for many years, as a single father, I don't spend money on myself, it goes to my children. My boys saved up and got me the Series 7 for Christmas. I was incredibly excited, and it was great, for a little while. About 9 months later the head was not cutting as well as if did new, so I got a new one. from that moment on, the Braun quality just plummeted. I do all the cleaning and maintenance suggested, even calling support when I was unclear about an instruction. New heads are no better that the one I am replacing. This is a colossal waste of money. My boys are disappointed that the item they bought for me is bad, I am disappointed that a $300 shaver is garbage. Do not waste your money. Seemed like a good price, but you get what you pay for. This produce is inferior to any replacement heads I've ever purchased. It will not give you a clean shave even though it takes much longer. When I compared the cutter to my old head, the blades are much smaller. That probably accounts for the poor performance and the time it takes to shave. My 18 month old head outperforms this one.

The portion of the head that holds the foil is made out of plastic whereas the genuine Braun product is made out of metal. I looked at both my old genuine Braun head and this one under a magnifying loop and you can see definite differences. The holes in the Braun foil are hexagonal with very defined corners. The holes on the aftermarket part are more like an oval, without the distinct corners and hexagonal shape. The result is that it takes me three to four times as many passes to get the same shave quality as the genuine Braun part. My father has been using Braun ever since I know. I have been using it around 20 years. And this replacement head I got is not OEM part or it can't be.First, it didn't even come in original package. It was wrapped in paper and placed in a very small white box (Like any white box). Then, the quality was so bad that you can actually feel it. It didn't have any markings of number or branding like it is on the original ones.So, I didn't even place it on my machine to try it. I know it would have hurt my face. Maybe even bleed.This brand has a reputation and this kind of incidents can actually hurt buyers trust very bad. Those kind of products shouldn't be allowed for sale.
I ordered this product online. It arrived in an completely unmarked box, not the packaging I normally see. It was very hard to attach and stay on the my shaver. I finally got it to stay on. When using it, it felt like it had been used. Similar to how it felt after using for a couple months. It pulled was not a comfortable shave. I will be buying a new one, but not online to make sure I get one in the expected packaging. Feeling a bit ripped off.
First impression with this replacement compared to the original- cheap. Where the original felt solid and weighty, this replacement feels light and cheap. Now once it was added to my razor my opinion changed. The cutting performance is excellent. I would say it is on par with the original. My guess is that the only difference is the housing in the original was likely aluminum where as now it's plastic on the replacement. Once you use it you won't know the difference is housing quality. I'd recommend giving this a try and holding off on first impressions until it's in your razor and you evaluate how it cuts. I plan to update this review in a few months to inform others on how well it's held up which is really my only concern
