Braun Shaver MobileShave M 90

I bought the Braun M90 in **** when I was in the Army. It was great for field shaves. It was so popular, I ended up renting it out for $5 to fellow Soldiers in the field so they wouldn't have to shave in 40° weather with a straight razor and water. Now I bought my second Braun M90 and it doesn't disappoint. It's more of a nostalgic item to me at this point, but I'm still glad to have it. Just a warning, don't go full beard and think the M90 is going to cut through it. Use a pair of Trimmers to get rid of your beard first, the use Braun's M90 to smooth it out. I would honestly recommend using a disposable razor after the trim, and then the M90 for maintenance. You don't want long hairs getting caught up in the foil razor and tugging on your skin.

Close to perfect product

Brilliant little shaver. Love the baffle design that protects the foil and prevents accidental switch on. Not QUITE as close as a wet shave, but a close second. Two AA batteries universally available - can’t sing its praises enough.

Doesnt shave too well

I would give 1 star if not for the small trimmerI bought this to shave my moustache only and i ended up using the small trimmer for alot of it, along with encountering some bleeding in (failed) attempts to use the shaver for some leftover hair. Took too much time, Very disappointed in such a big brand, Wouldn’t buy again

Great portable shaver at a great price

The shaver is well designed. For a shaver of its class, it provides a clean shave. There were no noticeable stubbles exposed. It is compact, allows changeable AA batteries. The brush compartment built into the shaver is a nice touch and makes wonderful storage. The lid is attached to the unit so it doesn’t get lost and locks into place as soon as the shaver is turned on so no accidental slips would occur. It also comes with a trimmer, which is a nice plus.The battery life of 60 mins shave is reasonable as I don’t shave for very long.The foil is easy to remove and shaver easy to clean with the brush.If there was one thing to nit pick, I would have loved for the sides of the machine to have some rubberized texture or plastic pattern to help grip the shaver ... MoreThe shaver is well designed. Waste of money

Waste of money, quality build but poor shave in all directions. Braun a very well respected German company but fail miserably on this product. Agree with a previous comment on here that it should not be sold as it is. Takes be half hour to get a decent shave. Have replaced with a Philips battery shaver, cheaper and much better shave for the price. Very disappointing and too late to take it back to Boots for a refund.

Worst Braun shaver, only Braun worth its price

Deeply underpowered. Deeply.In general, I have reached the end of the line with Braun. I have been a lifelong Braun shaver, but the last one suffered an early death. Past the 2 year warranty but long before the promised 15 year lifespan. And the replacement models have higher Series names and prices but half motor speed and all the metal parts that made the Braun name for quality are plastic today. Trying to decide to give Norelco or Panasonic a try. Never thought I’d leave Braun.This little unit is a good option for a second shave if the day, maybe at the office before an evening out if you need a touch up. When I received the email asking me to join in on the campaign, I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never used an electric shaver before and I was a little apprehensive.I need not have worried. My package arrived quickly, and after unwrapping the shaver, I was pleasantly surprised. The shaver is quite lightweight, yet looks of very good quality. The design is simple and easy to use. I like the idea that it does not need charging, and it can run for 60 minutes before needing the batteries changed. I haven't tried this out yet as I've not had it running for 60 minutes to see if the battery life runs out. I decided to give the shaver a go before my shower and was very pleasantly surprised at how close of a shave I managed to get with the shaver. My wife could tell the difference, she noticed I'd not had a wet shave with a razor, but the shaver still did a good job at removing the unwanted hair and leaving a smooth finish.Next to try was the side-burn trimmer, cleverly built into the shaver. I have sideburns which seem to grow out of control - I could go to the barbers one day, and be shaving them the following! The trimmer is also easy to use, and makes life so much easier than having to faff on with the hair clippers.I play a lot of sports, and work long hours, so I barely have a chance to have a proper hot shave, so the mobile m90 is the perfect tool for an on the go shave, especially when I'm going straight from a squash game to meet my wife for a drink and I don't have the time to shower in the communal showers and spend time shaving properly!Overall, a fantastic product, and when it gives up the ghost, I'll be replacing it. I really liked the slot for the brush - I tend to lose mine even when they are in the same bag as the razor! Which brings me onto the next point that as a mobile shaver, it would be nice if it came in a small bag, but with it all as one compact unit, this isn't a big issue at all.It is both easy to open and lock the cover for the blades, and the trimmer is then made available also for use.The "precision trimmer" is what I mainly use to shape and trim my beard/uni brow and I found this a little small, especially when the device is so loud it sounded quite ominous going so close to my face with the rest of the razor so close also.The trimmer itself is sharp and precise and tidies up the excess hairs that the main razor misses, and that brings me to the only real criticism I have of the razor - with being a single blade and not a rotary one like my usual device I found that it did miss a lot more of my longer hairs and thus needed the trimmer to get them before getting a really nice close shave with the blade itself.It is easy to wash - with the cover to the blade coming off easily and it being waterproof and able to be washed by running under the hot tap.It is a great shaver for the market it is aimed at, and I will be keeping it in my desk at work/in my bag for "emergency use" for those occasions I have a meeting spring up unannounced or a stray hair is noticed I have missed with my "normal shave".Pros:small and compactbattery poweredeasy to clean and brush clips into device, so cannot, in theory, lose itgreat close shavecons:quite noisyprecision shaver a little small
