Braun Thermoscan 5 Ear Thermometer IRT 6020

I really needed this new thermometer considering all these viruses and illness going around! This is so easy and so quick to read a temperature! I love that it came with 20 disposable tips and has a base to set it in. I'm always losing the other ones that are smaller. I won't be misplacing this one. It has a digital display, and the numbers are big and easy to read. I definitely recommend this, especially for smaller children and impatient teenagers.

We got this thermometer from influesnter and Braun for free to try out and give honest feedback and it could not have come at a better time! I was just discussing upgrading our thermometer for our toddler. I love the fact that this goes in the ear to get a temperature, I feel it's a lot more accurate than pointing one at a moving toddler. It also comes with a little case to hold the thermometer that can go up on the wall if you'd like. It's super simple to use it comes with batteries and is ready to go, it uses disposable covers you change before each use and it has a button to discharge the cover easily. I love the fact it has disposable covers to stop the spread of germs. It only comes with 20 so you'll have to keep buying them but it's so worth it to know it's clean!

Braun ThermoScan Ear thermometer is convenient, easy, and quick to use. I pressed the power button and attached the lens filter, then placed it in the ear and pressed the start button. The thermometer will then beep and read the temperature. After you finish taking the temperature, press down on the blue eject button to release the lens filter. Throw away the lens filter after each use. Braun ThermoScan Ear thermometer is more accurate than forehead readings. Braun ThermoScan Ear thermometer can be used for infants, children, and adults. Two AA batteries are included. I would recommend this product.

Having kids means you always have one on deck but aside from the old fashioned ones that go in the mouth, they were the only ones that ever seemed to give an accurate temperature. Thank you Influenster and Braun for the complimentary product. I have actually used Braun thermometer over the years and I can attest to its reliability and longevity. This model is particularly handy as it stores easily in the included case, where there is space for keeping clean tips. The tip eject button is right under the tip which makes it easy to eject tips right into the garbage can. Thermometer measures temperature in 1-2 seconds, so it is perfect for babies and small children who are impatient. Also, the ear temperature is almost as accurate as rectal temperature in babies (but a lot easier to measure). I use this thermometer for my entire family and I have never had any problems. It is always accurate and fast. Battery lasts forever too.

I had a no touch thermometer for my baby but I questioned it’s accuracy so we bought this ear thermometer. I have never been so happy. It’s so nice that we can use it on the entire family by simply selecting the age of the person who needs their temperature checked. You can use it on an infant, toddler or adult which I trying improves the accuracy. So far it has been amazing for my toddler that seems to always be running a temperature. The color indicator keeps my child intrigued long enough that he stays still for me to take his temperature. The reading is very fast too; only takes a few seconds to get the results. I was also happy that it came with a pack of covers for the end so we didn’t have to buy them separately.

We have 2 young daughters and have been using Braun thermometers for years! You can’t beat the accuracy, comfort and how sanitary it is. You can have the temperature read in just a few seconds, then toss out the used tip covers that come with the thermometer. Once my daughters fever was up to 105.9 and we rushed her to the er. The doctors and nurses safely lowered her fever, but without the accuracy of the braun thermoscan 5, I’m not sure what would’ve happened. We will forever be grateful she is healthy now!

Accurate and Easy to use

I have purchase this thermometer twice. Once almost nine years ago and again recently when the original one broke. Nine year life span is pretty good I would say and that is one of the reasons I bought another. The other was that this thermometer is very easy to use and is accurate. And we all use it. When my daughter was a baby I could sneak the thermometer into here ear without too much trouble. Highly recommend and worth the money.

I got this thermometer to replace the traditional in mouth one. When my kiddos are sick, they absolutely refuse to put it in their mouth. This one is so much faster and much more reliable than the old one. It is super accurate. Much more accurate than the in mouth one. There was up to a 0.2 variance in repeat measurements, but that's not a huge deal deal breaker for me. What was even better was that when you turn on the thermometer, the last measurement is stored in the device. My favorite feature is that the covers store right in the devices handle. I actually modified this to screw into my bathroom wall so it is out of kids reach but everything is right together. If you have multiple kids, you will go through the covers VERY quickly and the replacements are ~$10. I went through a whole box in 2 days. I know for sterility, they should be replaced every time but I found myself using rubbing alcohol to clean in between uses. Overall, it is a great improvement from traditional thermometer devices but the upkeep is slightly annoying.
