A good product, somewhat undersold.

A good machine which is a trifle undersold. The manual states that making less than 4 cups is not recommended. However I live on my own and 4 cups is far too much. The reason for this point is that with less than 4 cups the water does not sit in the mesh strainer long enough to extract the flavour from the coffee. Therefore, although the manual says that paper filters should not be used, I experimented and found that it is possible to make two cups if a paper filter is used. I presume that the warning against paper filters is to avoid overflow of the filter with large volumes.I am very pleased with the product.

Breville aroma style drip coffee maker

This is the second Breville Drip Coffee maker we have bought. The first one was used daily for many years. The machine makes great coffee and is easy to use and clean. It is always such a treat to wake up to the aroma of freshly made coffee. We can highly recommend this model.to wake up to the smell of brewed coffee.

Great for parties or at a breakfast for 2

I bought 2 of these and they are perfect for providing coffee for a large group or family gathering especially when using freshly ground beans (my favourite is Campos Coffee). Makes a very smooth brew with depth and sweetness. When you are entertaining you don't want to be fussing with individual coffees with capsules. Have the coffee maker ready to go and just press a button for aromatic, rich coffee for a crowd.

Happy with my purchase
14 March 2021

Have been using the coffee maker for about 4 weeks and have been happy with its performance and ease of use. I did not want to fork out big money for a machine and for the money paid i am happy with it. After a few goes i do not have a problem filling the non removeable water tank and any condensation from the lid when opened is collected and directed back into the tank, i have never had a pool of water collect under it as mentioned. It keeps the coffee at a decent temperature and switches off after 2 hours for safety, programming the timer function is very easy. For my old eyes the LCD screen is a bit on the small side, but this is reflected in the reasonable price, happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Strongly recommend Aroma Style Coffee Machine.

This is my second Breville Aroma coffee machine. It's easy to use (almost foolproof) and makes a really good jug of coffee. It was also a pleasant surprise to see the same model for sale, and I might add, at a really competitive price. I have no hesitation in recommending your product to anyone looking for a dependable unit.

The Aroma Drip Coffee brewer.
16 July 2022

We bought the exact same Aroma machine VERY many years ago. It was of such good quality and service, that because of its years AND our own increasing eighties, and our preference for old-style ground coffee, we bought another identical model with the same stainless steel shell, just to have redundancy in the handy jug and the filter parts, any one of which we could have broken during the occasional cleaning.

Very happy so far
19 June 2020

So far it’s been good. I’m not a coffee drinker but my father is so I like to have something for him in my home. I decided to move from a pod machine to this and haven’t been disappointed yet. The first time my father said the coffee was great. The second time it wasn’t so great, however I had set up the coffee machine the night before (not with the timer) so he could just hit the on button in the morning. I think the coffee sitting out exposed to the air overnight meant it wasn’t as nice the next morning. Hence the issue was with the coffee not the machine.... although this does mean I’m unlikely to ever use the timer function. But it’s super quick when you switch it on so I don’t see that as a problem.

great disappointment at first use
25 November 2021

First of all I can't find the serial number on my machine. Normally every machine has a serial number somewhere. For this model I can't see anything and therefore I can't register it... unbelievable but true!Secondly the manual is really very imprecise with mistakes like "FOR" instead of "HOUR" on the components page. The manual also does not indicate if the machine stops automatically when it has finished its brewing process or better if a sound signal is activated? This is important knowing that we can be far from the machine at the end of its cycle or even if it has been programmed for the morning and we are not yet awake. I know it's a basic model but still I'm quite frustrated. I'm going to give it to charity and buy a more serious model from another brand.
