Breville BBL405 The Kinetix Twist Blender
Sage The Kinetix Twist Blender will bring a touch of class to your blending needs. A professional grade die cast construction provides a robust foundation when blending is underway. Thanks to a uniquely designed shatterproof jug, this large 1.5 L pitcher makes for easy pouring and cleaning. The jug has a citrus cone forming its lid, for juicing directly into the jug. Heavy-duty serrated stainless steel blades make light work of blending. The blade system has central blades that pull food down to crush and chop, rather than leaving pieces around the side of the container. The blades also work to aerate the mixture and the funnel-shaped jug base ensures food is kept moving for even blending. 4-speed electronic control and pulse provide complete blending flexibility at your fingertips. Meanwhile, the quiet, powerful motor maintains the optimal speed with each setting, so you can blend everything from soft cooked vegetables for soup, to chunks of ice, and this motor will handle it with ease. Pre-programmed smoothie and ice crush functions are on hand for fast blending options.

I've owned it for six months, & use it daily to make 1L of thick fruit blend (no other usage). The 60sec smoothy mode (mode 4) achieves an excellent result. As another person mentioned, mode 1 ('chop') doesn't 'chop,' but is good for an initial blending before engaging smoothy mode (although I rarely feel the need). As claimed by Breville, the design of the jug's floor directs material back through the blades. Self clean works well after fruit blending (but do this immediately.) When making a (very) thick smoothy, you can hear the motor is burdened. A slight smell occurs with prolonged, heavy blending (but I've rarely encountered that situation). I think some cheap units are completely sealed (?) The base is cast aluminium with membrane sealed buttons - a quick wipe with a damp paper towel is all that's needed. It's 1kw, so don't expect it to be quiet. Those who are paranoid about their hearing (like me) will prefer to stand back during operation. Conclusion: for the purpose for which I bought it, I am very pleased.

Read reviews on pros and cons of the Kinetix Twist and honestly comes down to preference and trust of product and brand. As we previously owned a Breville Blender and had to replace, we are ecstatic with our choice being the Kinetix Twist. This is an upgrade to what we previously had. With the new design being sturdier and compact this was a plus. With 4 different levels of speed you shouldn’t have an issue with inconsistencies in blend. The design of the Kinetix is a stroke of genius in design, no matter what order you place your ingredients, the cyclonic design twirls the ingredients so everything will be blended. Once pushed on, it will blitz then pulse a few times, blitz and results…perfection and smooth.Do I find the machine noisy? No. This is what some cons are stated as. Will the Kinetix stop as mentioned in reviews - it will eventually as it will reach its safety cut off. This won’t happen whilst making a smoothie or two. Usually, an appliance will go into safety mode when it has reached its heat level, but that won’t be straight away as some reviews state.Let’s talk design, with the stainless look on the motor and the fully enclosed jug, there is no issue on stability. The jug itself fits smoothly on, and can be removed just as easily. At first, I was a little disappointed on the jug not being made of glass, like the previous version, but the Kinetix design is much better. It is lighter and the base dome is design to simply fit straight on.Highly recommend if you are in search for an upgrade or a new blender.

Mixes, chops, blends and liquefies with ease for our everyday needs. It has a pulse and asmoothie/auto clean button that are great. The possibility to put the citrus squeezer on top is a great feature that we use often! So far so good. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a reliable blender. I like the one-touch smoothie setting so I can walk away from it while it's doing its thing. Manages ice well. You need to have enough liquid in the blend for it to be effective, doesn't cope well with too many solids. It's fairly noisy (like most blenders). It self-cleans if you put soapy water in after use and put it on its smoothie setting - handy feature.
I bought this blender about a month or so ago and I've been using it on a daily basis for my green smoothies. In a nutshell, it's good value for money, a good looking powerful machine, easy to use, easy to clean, with different automatic settings; however, the vase cover and pout are poorly esigned. This is a very powerful blender with a good-sized vase, and different authomatic options. The one I use the most is "blend", mixed with a bit of "liquify". If I am preparing a soft fruit and milk smoothie, I use the "smoothie" setting and the machine does everything for me. A citrus squeezer is also part of the cover, a handy add-on to use on the blender or on a small bowl. The main downside of this blender is the cover. On the one hand, it fits perfectly as the sides are made or rubber. On the other, if you have a thick smoothie or blended soup nothing will come out from the pout or from the hole on the top of it. You have to remove the whole cover. I find that annoying, as it would be great the pout being larger so one can pour the liquid directly from the vase. Besides, putting in and out the cover will eventually damage or loosen the rubber part. The vase is not glass but solid 'plastic', so not heavy; it cleans easily with just tap water after preparing green smoothies. Otherwise, fill the jar with soapy water, press the "autoclean" button and voila.Overall, quite happy with the purchase.
I've had my Kinetix Twist for six months. I absolutely love it and I use it every day. It's great for my daily health routine which includes...*lemon drink...to start each morning I blend half a lemon with 2 cups warm water*smoothies. I use the blend function for all of these.. green, fruit, vegetable and my great grand daughter loves my banana, strawberry and milo smoothies.*LSA . Each week I use the chop function for the linseeds, then the sunflowers, and lastly the almonds. Then I mix them all together on the pulse function.* Citrus cone juicer for all my citrus drinks including cocktails or extracting juice for cooking.*Measuring feature is great for all my recipes. It's just so easy to use and clean.
I bought this blender to replace my NutriBullet and it does a really good job! I use it for smoothies, dressings and dips. It works perfectly with smoother ingredients and frozen berries but not so much with fresh greens which is the reason why Im giving it 4 stars. Blending fresh herbs, kale and spinach results in large chunks in the smoothie. Its not the worst thing as I know a lot of blenders struggle with this. Overall I love this blender and would recommend it to others )
The blender works fine. I have only used it once, so hope it lasts. The bonus citrus juicer insert for the lid is fairly pointless. The lid seals firmly and the jug mounts securely on the base. The different modes are also a bit pointless. "On" and "Off" would be enough. A few speed levels would be fine. More than that is a bit silly.I do object to a competition that requires reviews to be "uplifting", rather than prioritising the truth. I'll stick to being honest, thanks.
Very pleased I opted for this model. Had originally planned to buy another model but came across this one while looking online. Was sold out everywhere locally except HN. I use it a couple of times a day at least. Different setting options, easy washing, good value. Previously had a stick blender and a glass blender. Stick blender cord kept getting melted by family members using it by the toastie press, and I'm sure the heavy, cumbersome glass blender would have been broken by now if I hadn't given it to someone.
Bought this on 27-09-2021. We used this maybe 30 times. On 01-10-2022 we used it for the first time in a long time and it does NOT work. The warranty says 1 year. 4 days over the date of warranty. This is terrible. I still have a receipt and it seems that it machine cost me $169. The blender costs $169 shouldn't go down after 1 year.
