The app make it easy to control the main unit remotely and it even shows you its current status like humidity target, current humidity and the mode, and the weather information of your local area (humidity, temperature and forecast). I found the Breville Smart Dry™ Connect Dehumidifier a great little appliance. It works wonderfully in reducing humidity levels in a short space of time. I used it in the bathrooms every day. Just 20-30 minutes after a shower and the bath was all dry and back to normal humidity level. I have used it on rainy days to speed up the drying process of my washing and it was of great help. I love the portability. The wheels, make it super easier to move around the house. Contains a tank a the back. Make sure to drain it often. The application is super easy to install , set up and use.

We were having massive mold and mildew issues in our apartment after all the wet weather in Sydney. We bought this as a last-ditch effort to stop the mold and are so happy we did! Amazed at how much humidity this machine pulls out of the air - multiple litres a day during high humidity! I have seen an almost total reduction in mold and mildew cropping up and the air feels much cleaner and drier. Easy to empty tank and works quietly through the night.

Because of the excessive rain throughout 2022, there is constant humidity, dampness and mould in my house. Having used this Dehumidifer for 4 weeks I'm blown away by the water its collected. For 2 wks I placed this in my WIR which leads to the ensuite. Whenever one of us has a shower its turned on and kept on for awhile afterwards. Its also on for 4 hrs each night starting before going to bed. Our bed is nearby and we could easily sleep with this on. It is actually not that noisy and you do get used to hearing it anyway. Nice compact dehumidifier. Not too heavy to be able to carry up and down stairs. Works for small rooms. Used in my spare room where I hang my washing and it did help dry the laundry overnight. Especially during the rainy period, when the room can feel damp at night, it was good to be able to see the indicator on the machine showing humidity decreasing. Love the blue light and that there is a function to turn the lights off at night without turning off the machine. Took me a bit longer to figure out how to connect to the wifi function to google assist. While nice to have, I don't really use it, except to use voice activation to turn it off. Otherwise, the functions are basic and it is easy to use which suits me.

Setting up wifi and the phone app was really straight forward and it works easily, (if you make a mistake just hold down the mode button for 5 seconds to activate wifi pairing). You can also use the manual touch controls on the top of the machine if you don’t like apps/wifi. I can’t compare the noise to other dehumidifiers because I only have the one, it’s not loud but I probably wouldn’t have it on over night in the bedroom. This is a great unit. It is slightly larger than I anticipated, but still relatively quiet. It's on wheels which makes it easy and smooth to move around when necessary. I love the smart features - I have a smart home and found the app very easy to use. I did have a slight hiccup in setting it up, as my modem is a 5ghz, but managed to work it out. While I didn't always feel any noticeable difference in the space when this was on, I was always so shocked to see just how much water this unit was extracting from the air. My favourite mode was definitely the laundry setting - I noticed a HUGE difference in drying time & my clothes weren't left with the murky smell that sometimes happens. I wasn’t surprised when the level went to 70%. Not knowing what % humidity to aim for I set it to 55% as guided by the instruction manual. These days the room is at 44-60% so I only use it when drying laundry indoors. An app with real time electricity use updates proved that it didn’t use much. I was surprised after being on for 1hr near wet laundry it had collected 400ml of water! I haven’t managed to clean the black spots off my windows. Quiet to run. We originally purchased for cold wet Bathurst days when can’t dry our washing and to place In bathroom. However it wasn’t working the best. We then discovered works best when used at a temperature little warmer so we moved to the loungeroom where our heater was running also within minutes the humidity was dropping before our eyes and 2-3 hours later most of our clothes on the airer were dry. We placed under neath the clothes on the airer. Seemed to help dry our clothes quicker without the excess condensation that was previously happening when drying In our loungeroom
I’ll be honest, I never thought I needed a dehumidifier before trying this out. I have been using the Breville Smart Dry in our ensuite bathroom during and after showers and it is absolutely brilliant. You can really feel the difference with how fresh and clear it feels in there. The device itself is easy to use, and all the functions are straight forward. There are automatic options and you can even connect it to your phone! Overall I am in love with this product and think it absolutely works wonders.
