This toaster one of the few choices I had that would fit inside an appliance cupboard size-wise. It gets two stars because it seems solidly made and it looks nice. However, functionally it’s just not worth it. It has six minute settings and only when it is on 6 does it toast multigrain bread. Mind-you, that’s a bit of colour and nothing more. So, if you like your toast waved over a candle flame - this is the toaster for you! You will have a highly satisfactory food relationship. However, if you want your toast to have colour and crunch, while not requiring you to age while you keep pushing the toast setting for “a bit more”, I recommend finding a different product. I am back to hunting for a new toaster to fit my appliance garage, and may just deal with more stuff ... I would have given it a 5 star if it would toast more on the high setting. My husband likes his toast well done. Yes there is a just a bit more button but I need to use it twice to get it right for him. The bread type makes a difference. If you eat white bread it toasts great but we eat grain bread.

I've had 2 of this toaster now and both have been lemons :(Both start shorting the power after 12-18 months use - the first one did this just before the warranty was out, so we replaced with the same one (thinking perhaps we were just unlucky) - nope, sure enough at 18monhs use it's now shorted the power in the house. We have since moved house too, and have turned off all appliances to confirm it's 100% the toaster causing it.So disappointing as it has great eye appeal and toasts beautifully. But certainly won't be buying another!

A really lovely looking toaster. I did soooo much research before purchasing and have even bought a couple of others and ended up taking them back due to poor performance. This does the job nicely, though one side is definitely faster at toasting than the other. I love the quick check function. I haven’t used the “little bit more” function as I tend to quick check until it’s done. If it toasted both sides the same I’d give it 5 stars, but it still get a 4 as so far, so good. I’ve had it about 2 weeks now.
Really disappointed with this toaster. The toast is burned on one side and lightly singed on the other, even on the lighter settings. Crumpets and muffins Forget about it. The base is incinerated and the top is still raw. Take it out earlier, turn it around and the top might get nicely browned but the base gets even more burnt. No setting level or button selection such as fruit bread produces a decent result. I do not recommend this toaster.
This toaster was a disaster. Even on the highest setting would only partly cook the toast. It was purchased to replace a Breville 4 slice that operated beautifully for 13 years. This was returned to Good Guys who made an almighty fuss.even bringing a slice of bread to try. After an interminable time it popped up partially cooked on one side and tried to convince us that it worked perfectly. After some discussion we were give a refund begrudgingly. We have always purchased electrical appliances at this store and were not impressed with the staff attitudes. I have since purchased the Breville Smart toast at a different store. It works very well.
The toaster works okay though the build quality is not good. It got covered in rust when it was left unused for few weeks. When I called Breville support, they refused to help as it was 2 months outside their warranty. I guess there is no point in paying more for Breville when the quality is same as Kambrook (Breville's sister brand)
Our old toaster broke so we needed to buy a new one this year, 2021. We liked the look of the functions on this Breville especially the “lift and look” and “a bit more” functions. And we found they aren’t gimmicks as we use them a lot. I like to lift the bread and change its position midway through for more even toasting. It’s value for money. The only thing it’s missing is a crumpet setting. This is the only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars.
We love Breville, our kitchen is full of Breville products, from twin boiler coffee machine, through to milk shake maker. We have always been happy with all our products, until we bought this toaster. We have never owned a toaster that on maximum browning you have to put the toast on again, Uneven toasting.Besides looking good, this product has no positive features. It won't stop me buying Breville, but I will never buy a Breville toaster again. Take it off the market

I had high hopes for this Breville toaster given the price tag and the number of good reviews.This was definitely the most expensive toaster I had ever purchased!Sadly I have found that it toasts very unevenly, two slices of bread on the same side on the same setting will come out at quite different “toasted” levels.One piece of toast will be light brown on one side and almost burnt on the other side.The other piece of toast cooked on the same side of the toaster at the same time on the exact same setting will be a very light brown on both sides.In Photo #3 you can see that the bread wasn’t toasted all the way to the edges on one side.I might be willing to accept this if this had ...
