Recently purchased 2 more of these toasters 1 for myself and one for my gluten free husband (have to keep our wheat and wheat free bread separated). The previous ones we both had were 1 year, and 7 months old.The problem with all 4 toasters is that even when toasting on maximum temperature the bread is barely toasted and we either have to use the 'bit more' option once or twice or put it down again and watch the darn thing doesn't over do it.We thought with the first 2 purchased it was just bad luck but on day one of the second 2 we had the same problem. Not prepared to pay $600+ for a dualit toaster so just putting up with it but not impressed!

The Breville 'A Bit More' Plus 2 Slice Toaster is surprisingly light compared with the weight of my previous toaster. The lever is also amazingly easy to push down. The toaster has all the main controls required as well as a generous slot width for toasting wider items and an easily removable crumb tray. The style of the toaster is very sleek and modern which would make it look good in any kitchen. It was very competitively priced so I'm very happy with my purchase.

We were after a toaster that is simple, works well, has a few functions without the bells and whistles. Also, our last toaster sounded like a fire alarm going off when it popped the toast up which we really wanted to avoid this time - no alarm on this one. This ticks all the boxes at a reasonable price. Overall, very happy with it.

I'm sorry to say we returned our toaster. We tested it with different types of bread and found it couldn't be relied on to toast a single slice. The side of the bread facing into the centre toasted and then it was necessary to flip the slice over and toast the other side. The salesperson at Myer was very understanding.

The wide slot accommodates thick sliced bread and fruit bread, which challenged the (pre-sliced bread) 1919 pop up toaster. A preview facility on the lever allows checking on the progress of the toasting and 'A Bit More' button will give you just that. The toaster also handles toasting frozen bread, something not even imagined in 1919. There is a knob to set the degree of toasting desired, a vast improvement over the "hope for the best' in the 1919 model. A "cancel" button is provided - just in case! This is a nice Toaster, looks good, toasts pretty evenly, fits in a small area.If you don't keep bread frozen, it does the job. I do need to preheat mine, even on max and defrost. If you have some space to keep the toaster its pretty decent I find the crumb catcher redundantly shallow, or it doesn't cover the area or something, I need to clean crumbs on almost every use.Toasters can generally last for 10 yrs, so while $80 for this guy is reasonable, going the extra $130 mile for a better toaster would have payed off the inconvenience of crap I don't need to think about.Delivery was good, product came in good packaging, in good condition, in great time.Not that this was unadvertised, I've only just realised that these are things I wish I was looking for.

The family favourite, hot melted cheese and left over chicken, yum! We waited anxiously for the next two to go in whilst watchingeach other nibble the crispy edges of the perfectly formed triangles trying not to bite too quickly into the hot centres dripping with melted cheese but the temptation was often too much and saw us blowing profusely on the filling in an attempt to cool it down a bit quicker so we could satisfy our appetites. This toaster has the correct amount of extra features.It looks good in stainless steel, and doesn't consume too much finite bench space.I've found with raisin toast that a '4' setting and using the 'fruit toast' button results in highly cooked bread, so perhaps better to just use the normal setting and pop it back in if that's insufficient.Myer's price was competitive. It was easy to carry home on the tram.

Light and easy to clean stainless steel toaster. It has a removeable crumb tray, and you can wrap extra cord around its bottom to keep it outside and out of the way. It tends to toast on the light side, but you do have the option to give it an extra zap. It also has a pop up feature which allows you to popup the toast to see how brown its getting which is very handy.
