I needed a new electric kettle to replace an older one and my new Breville kettle is perfect for me. I like the features, including the handle, soft top, and easy to grasp and remove plug. I also like being able to see into the kettle from both sides to check the water level. if you are looking for a new kettle, I definitely recommend this one.
Easy grip handle, large 7 cup capacity for my busy family, gentle top opening for refilling. I chose this kettle not only for the great price but cup capacity is displayed on both sides of the kettle not under the handle of my old kettle. Im very happy with my choice.
Love this kettle. So so quiet and a lovely clean finish. Has a strong, decent size filters which I’m sure will last longer than previous kettles.
Looks great, quiet and efficient. Easy to see the water level and the lid opens very wide for refilling. Sometimes seems to take a little longer than expected to turn off once the water has boiled. But I'm still really happy with the product.
Very happy with our new kettle. Does exactly what it needs to.Looks good in our kitchen, is nice and quiet and is easy to keep clean. If there is anything to complain about perhaps the handle is a little bit too wide for my grip size. I would definitely purchase again.
Nice white colour to match my kitchen to replace the previous stainless steel Breville kettle. Soft lid opening. Switch is near the bottom which I prefer, to prevent accidental pressing when holding the handle. Cord is long enough and can be stored under the base.
I have had a few electric kettles over the years, one of which (a Phillips one that is no longer available) still works like a dream after more than 15 years. This one by Breville has a lingering plastic odour that no amount of boiling water, white vinegar or baking soda can dispel. After a week of trying all three things repeatedly, my tea still has a plastic taste to it. To add insult to injury, the automatic shut off, which some people say can take a while to kick in, takes so much longer than a while that I imagine all the water would have evaporated before it finally shut down--I don't know because I have had to shut it off myself each time or wait until the cows come home to brew my plastic tasting cup of tea.
