"Breville" - it's Australian for "toasted sandwich"

Does anyone make a sandwich press as good as Breville? We didn't eat "jaffles" or "toasted sandwiches" when I was a kid, we called them "Brevilles" on account of the amazing, bright orange, electric sandwich press that took up residence in our kitchen in the late 1970s. It pumped out endless "Brevilles" eight at a time and was the go-to for quick dinners or snacks throughout my childhood. When I last checked it was still going, and this new Breville Toast & Melt Sandwich Press gives every indication of lasting just as long. It's hefty, but in a good way. It feels high quality. The plates provide good, consistent heat to ensure sandwiches are cooked evenly throughout. The adjustable height means you can have nice open melted sandwiches too. Love it! Highly recommended.

A Breviller at Heart ❤️

Over the years I have tried different brands for kitchen appliances. Now it seems I only purchase Breville for quality, style and features. My latest purchase replacing my old Breville Sandwich Press after many, many years with the Toast & Melt 4 slice Sandwich Press. Again extremely happy with its large capacity and adjustable features. Honestly would recommend this product.

Makes a PERFECT toastie EVERY TIME!

Who doesn't love a toastie? They're a favourite and a staple in our home. However, all of the toastie machines we have tried in the past have left our sandwiches squashed, flat and way too crispy.The Toast & Melt 4-Slice Sandwich press from Breville doesn't do this which is why we LOVE it! There is a grill height adjustment button which allows you to PERFECTLY adjust the machine so that the sandwich is toasted just to your liking!As a family of 4, we also LOVE that it can toast 4 sandwiches at once! With other machines, 2 people would eat and then the other 2 would be eating once the others were finished. Much more than a sandwich press

I have had my Breville sandwich press for years. But here's my secret, it's much more than a sandwich press. My favourite thing to use it for is cooking eggs. Simply crack the egg on to the hot plate and in a couple of minutes (usually less) it's done. No added oil and it's virtually mess free. A hot breakfast has never been easier. I also use it for cooking pancakes. Super easy! And of course the good old toasted sandwich. Seriously, don't waste your money on Uber Eats. The Breville sandwich is truly worth investing in. I'm going to buy one for my kids when they leave home (if they ever leave home).

Our Cheese Toastie

1995 our Cheese Toastie (Breville), was used Saturday lunch and Sunday dinner religiously. It was when the family would sit down eat a meal together causally and discuss the events of the weekend, the possible footy results and then Sunday night it would be eating the toastie watching a movie and having more family time. The kids were young and enjoyed this regularly and as they grew up the Cheese Toastie was not big enough and we upgraded to the Breville Sandwich Press this allowed us to fill those hungry appetites at a faster rate and move to more sophisticated toasties. Quality Product

This sandwich press seems well made and solidly constructed. The heat distribution is even so with four sandwiches covering the whole press, both sides of each sandwich and all four sandwiches are equally browned all over. The non-stick heating surface is tough and melted cheese in direct contact peels off easily. Btw, it comfortably fits four full size sandwiches. The bottom surface has a lip all the way around so, unless you really overload your sandwiches, nothing leaks out on to your bench.Overall, I strongly recommend this press. Easy to clean, easy to use. No faults apparent.

Save money with yummy cafe at home results

I bought my new Breville Toast & Melt 4 slice sandwich press to replace my previous Breville flat press I had for almost 20 years. It was so durable and that was even after an accidental drop from a low shelf in the walk in pantry. Since COVID and WFM, I was using it at least once everyday! I use it for toast, melts, wraps, quesadillas, toasties, heat buns and reheat any pastry item to make it crispy again. It is so versatile, quick to use and so easy to clean. I seriously could not survive without this as I enjoy many a 'cafe' style meal cooked on my Breville Toast & Melt so it saves me heaps of $$ and I make my meals they way I like them.

Site BBQs made easy.

An absolute MUST for site BBQs. Enough space to simultaneously cook five big snags, bacon, onions and a couple of eggs. Meaning everyone finishes smoko at the same time and gets back to work after a good feed. Site productivity is up 11.2% since I invested in the Bsg540Bss. Cleans easily, usually a quick wipe with some dunny paper and she is good to go next smoko. Heats up super fast as well and stores away pretty conveniently too.
