My kids love this train set! They play with the figures that come with the set almost as much as the train and track itself. They are particularly impressed with the magnetic monkey that grabs the cargo from the train. It is definitely a good starter set for those who want the additional imaginary play of toy figures along with building tracks and driving trains. The set alone is great for toddlers, but adding an expansion set is recommended to give older kids more configurable options. I received this set in exchange for my honest opinion.

This Brio set is so cute! The wooden tracks form a circle and have the addition of a mischievous magnetic monkey that can pick up the cargo as the train passes under the tree he is hanging from. My kids love it! This set includes a safari ranger, engine, train car, cargo, zebra, monkey, tree and tracks. All pieces are very high quality and Brio is a trusted and well respected brand that has been around a very long time. This is a fabulous starter set in its own. We combined it with Brio Starter Track Pack B to build an even bigger track. The kids love to tey to design new configurations. We received this set in exchange for our honest review.

As an early reviewer, I received this set in exchange for my opinion. This a fun and complete starter set as it contains train manipulatives along with track pieces. This would make for a great gift for any train loving kiddo! My boys (ages 2 and 6) have both really enjoyed playing with this set. All pieces are compatible with other Brio sets as we have combined ours with the starter track set and plan to use with my childhood set as well! High quality, durable and versatile set to foster creativity, imagination and problem solving.

She very quickly figured out how to put the tracks together. She needed some assistance in figuring out how it could make a fully connecting circle, but otherwise, she was able to connect track pieces without help and was able to reset the monkey and train package trick without assistance.Value: Brio tracks are very sturdy and of good quality. This is the cutest little train set! My kids (ages 7, 5, and 3) all enjoying playing with it. They are obsessed with the little monkey in the tree and love that he can steal a package as it goes by. My son has been loving this train set! It is a great starter set and easy for a toddler to put the pieces together themselves or with help from someone else. The pieces fit together easily, are easy to clean with a wipe or towel, are sturdy, and stay together with a little bit of roughhousing from my toddler. When I gave this to him he played with it for hours and still asks to get it out every day a week later! He loves it! The characters are cute and make the train more interactive. The track pieces are able to be connected with other wooden sets or just this set solo to help kids explore and use their imagination. I received this train set as an earlier review in exchange for my option and I would highly recommend it.
This is an adorable starter wooden train set. My daughters (6 and 8) have a great time with it. They have recently inherited their brothers old wooden trains and this, like all of BRIOs sets, fist perfectly with the trains and tracks they already have. They had lots of fun with the magnetic monkey!
This is a great starter train set for children! All BRIO trains sets can be intermixed and we used this one with a basic starter set. The kids played for hours. The pieces are sturdy wood tracks. They were easy to wipe down when the littlest put a piece in her mouth! Great fun for many ages. It really kept their imaginations going. The colors are bright and the kids loved the monkey! As an early reviewer, I received a copy of the toy in exchange for my opinion, but we will be purchasing more sets to connect and build an even bigger train track!
In exchange for my review I received the brio Safari playset. The Brio Safari set is a high quality wooden train set and loved. My kids impatiently watched as I opened the set, laid down the tracks and began to call ownership for every piece. I could not get them to move away for a picture.I had to buy more sets to complete our town and best of all the pieces are compatible with other brio sets including the Thomas trains.
