These last for 6 months and that’s an amazing deal. I wasn’t sure about them when I bought a pack for the first time, but they work great. Removes all that nasty stuff from our tap water. We have terribly chlorinated tap water that it sometimes smells like public pool water flowing out of our faucets and this takes care of it for 6 months. A pack of two lasts a whole year with no issues. No mildew or mold or weird flavors. I just set a reminder on my phone to change the filter every 6 months from the day. Using these makes them the cheapest of them all while filtering out more than the others. I’m now on our second package… third filter and not planning on using anything else.

Have only purchased it in the last month. Followed the directions, put about 4-5 pitchers full through and used for indoor plant. Water is extremely clear. Then tasted next pitcher's, was clean, no odors, no taste. Great so far. Also, even though you only get 2 of the blue filters vs. the 3 white filters, it is still cheaper in the long run since 1 blue filter gives 120 gal of filtered water vs 120 gal for all 3 of the white ones, at less than double the price.. so actually a bit cheaper. Add to that it filters like 10x the number of items the white filters do, and it becomes a much better and healthier option.

Love the pitcher and the first Elite filter, but this new Elite filter lasted less than a month. I bought this new Elite filter at Longs Drugs on 10/7/2023. There is just my husband and I at home who drink water using the Denali 6 cup pitcher, and we were very happy with the Elite filter which filters lead out of drinking water as well as chlorine and other trace elements . I didn't expect to last a full 6 months because we drink a lot of water. But, now what is wrong with the one we installed less than a month ago. The filter indicator started blinking orange/red after pouring a glass of water on 11/5, showing that the filter didn't even last one month. The Elite that came with our pitcher that we installed lasted 3-1/2 - 4 months. We know how to install them, I ... After 30-45 days it begins to take FOREVER to filter all the way through. Support says the filtration rate decreases with hard water or aeration from bubbles filling up the reservoir.I have a reverse osmosis system - very soft water.I also tested the most recent filter I wasted my money on by VERY slowly filling up the reservoir EVERY TIME to reduce bubbles getting into the filter -- also unsuccessful. Agree with a previous review, there is a design flaw in these filters and they do not filter faster as advertised.Might as well save your money and go with the cheaper one if the rate of filtration matters to you. Bummer too because that's a greater env impact over time - another falsely advertised feature of this faulty product.
First off, we have the Brita Extra Large Ultramax Dispenser and have been buying the 1-3 month filter replacements for the product for the last couple of years. We recently welcomed our baby, who we now monitor lead exposer per pediatrician instructions. Needless to say we were very excited to see this product that removes and filters out lead and also lasts a lot longer before replacement. Yet once we put the filter in the Dispenser it seems it's not a "snug" fit as described by Amazon or Brita. Brita claims this product works with all brita dispensers except for their "Brita Stream Dispensers". However, it seems due to the shape of how the product is made it does not fit all dispensers. Brita claims per instructions to wash it 15 seconds before using to help ease into the dispenser (and help clean it off). Yet that did not resolve the issue. Expections of this product definitely lowered as there is too much a gap in the Dispenser to filter for the water to basically leak right through, and not "filter" anything. Definitely 3 stars as its likely a good product but unsure which brita dispenser this will actually fit for.
I've read a crazy amount of really bad reviews about it takings literal hours to filter through, filtering way too fast or not fitting right. I suppose I either got lucky or there are plenty of good opinions that just weren't officially reviewed here. I think it's probably the latter because mine works great. I'm very picky with water filters, I used ZeroWater and always tested my water for a long time but it's too expensive so I tried this. For the money you can't beat it I think. It's probably not the absolute best out there but if you don't want to spend a ton of money but want better than a standard brita filter(which is not very effective honestly), this is a great choice.
Bought a double pack of the “long last” (6 months according to box copy) while they were on sale. Previous filter was still good, so a couple months later, I installed the first filter. Ran water thru 4 pitcher fulls as instructed, and the result tasted terrible. I did a couple more thinking whatever magic was necessary hadn’t happened yet. No improvement. So I took it out and installed the 2nd one. Same issue. I was beyond the return window at target by a month, so I contacted Brita directly. Their customer service was very pleasant and responsive. They sent me a new pair of the same type. I installed those in early July, and it’s Nov 3, and water is undrinkable. I live alone so there is not super heavy use of this pitcher, though I definitely go thru 3-4 gallons a ... I live alone so there is not super heavy use of this pitcher, though I definitely go thru 3-4 gallons a week at home. To spend extra $ on the long last and have it go bad about 2 months short is not ok. It seems this is sporadic, as the very first 2 I bought with the pitcher worked for 6 months just fine. Nothing else has changed. Bummed. I want a sustainable option for filtered water. I already don’t like the plastic cartridges but at least there’s a way to recycle them. Not sure what I’ll opt for next once this final filter bites the dust but really not thrilled with the thought of repeating any of this jumping thru hoops bit.
I recently purchased a package of four of Elite filters. I have 2 issues please.1) On your website it states, "no pre-soak and no black specs in water".The instructions on the box states, "install filter and fill pitcher with water". "Discard first 3 pitchers of water." Seems that the discarding the first 3 pitchers of water is replacing the pre-soak needed with the standard Brita filters. Please help me understand this.2) The first time I filled my Brita pitcher with the Elite filter, it took more than 30 minutes to fill the pitcher! The second time I filled the pitcher, it also took more than 30 minutes to fill. Is this an out of the box failure? Why is it taking so long since the filter is brand new?
Interesting.... I took the time to write a rather long review on here on Jan 16, 2023, which someone from Brita responded to, giving me a case # to call them and discuss my issue, and now it appears to have been deleted along with quite a few others, and the star rating on this product seems to have gone up quite a bit... Weird!I'll say it again, these filters don't work. The original that came with my dispenser was fine, but the replacements have been terrible. They filter fine for a week or two and then slow down to a drip and take literally hours to fill up my counter top dispenser. That also seems to be the case with many other reviewers going all the way back to at least 2018, but again, a lot of those reviews seem to be missing now...I essentially wasted ... My first review was very polite and just told my story, but now I'm a little ticked..I'll be screenshotting this one to make sure everyone knows if it gets deleted again, although I still have the confirmation email from my first one as well. I'll be contacting the BBB if my review is deleted again. So where's my case number now??
Not happy at all with these filters!! I just finished up the dark blue ones and just received my new ones that are light blue. From reading other reviews, I get it that these are the new ones but now it’s all making sense that the dark blue ones were defective! My family has been drinking this broken filtered water for almost a year now! I thought it was odd that it filtered super super fast but figured it was an improvement….well yeah I was wrong. I just replaced with the new light blue filter and it’s 100% the complete opposite! I fill the reservoir and it’s taking almost 10mins to filter. From other reviews it seemed like the new design was supposed to be better but it’s horrible! Not only have I spent money on the first two and drank unfiltered water but now I ...
