Been using this style for a couple of years or so. Find it very good. Great for caravan or vehicle van as the water doesn't splash out readily. Big fill lid makes filling super easy. And extremely easy to wipe internals when needed. Very smooth pouring when tipped without contents over racing the lid when tipped fast. Lid sits inside the jug walls so surface water is contained with in itself. Oh, the 4 star rating is because Brita recommends to use tap water, rather than dam water when needing to access water whilst travelling.

I bought this jug a couple of months ago to replace a much older Brita jug. Overall I am quite impressed. The way the lid seals the jug is far better than the older model that leaked unfiltered water out of the top. The only downside is the rubber handle that lifts the filling flap in the lid broke off after a couple of weeks. It really seems cheap and unfit for purpose. I have managed to repair it, but can't trust it not to break off again.

I have had this marvellous water jug for over a year now having seen a friend use one regularly. Where I live the water can have a tainted flavour depending on which part of the town you work or live in and other factors. Using this jug ensures that water quality is consistently high and hot or cold drinks will always have a clear pure taste. I wouldn't be without mine - ever!

Love the eco jug and colour, great style and fleek. Like how there is an indicator of when the filter will run out but I don’t believe it is accurate. Better to just work out how many litres you drink per day and how many days the filter will last for you before it runs out. Also wish they offered refillable/compostsble filter cartridges but that’s okay as I have found a different company that offer brita compostable cartridges. Worth the compromise for the brita jug
An otherwise good product, but seriously let down by what I view to be a small but fundamental design flaw. The jug has no spout cover, leaving any contents open. What were the designers at Brita thinking?! The maintenance of basic good food hygiene requires that all perishable food and liquids be fully covered during storage, including in a fridge. It therefore seems bizarre to me to go to all the trouble and expense to filter water to remove impurities, then store it unprotected against air borne bacteria, which effectively renders the product useless for my purposes. The open spout void also presents the risk during filling of accidentally spilling unfiltered tap water directly into the body of the jug, which sort of defeats the object.I’ve now swapped the ... MoreAn otherwise good product, but seriously let down by what I view to be a small but fundamental design flaw. The open spout void also presents the risk during filling of accidentally spilling unfiltered tap water directly into the body of the jug, which sort of defeats the object.I’ve now swapped the offending item for the Brita Aluna jug, which does have a protective spout and is, paradoxically, cheaper. It does, however, seem rather counter-intuitive to have previously paid significantly more for rather less.
You are meant to press button once you filled with water the light flashes however just removing the lid or pouring out water the light flashes so how can u trust it to be correct, used not much just over 6 weeks its already telling me the cartridge needs replacing. I found the lid fiddly to close, now the part which you fill with water is stuck in the jug wont get that out without breaking it,your meant to be able to take it apart for washing. To sum it up overpriced cheap bit of plastic that is not reliable and cartridges do not stop the kettle forming scale rubbish basically.
I wasn't wholly convinced of the need for this, can water taste that much different.....the answer is yes! I'm now a water snob, I hadn't realised how metallic and heavy water tasted, and it's even as if my body now wants me to costume more as it's getting true hydration! This is a large jug, so ensure it fits in your fridge, we had to move our bottom shelf up to allow it in. The small plastic loop does fold down, so this can be wedged under a shelf. The light is useful to know when the filter may need changing, as to be honest I'm not sure I'd know otherwise. We keep this in the fridge all day, filling our glasses as we go, we then take it to bed at night in case we need a night fill up, the water remains nicely cool and there's always enough for us both to have a ... MoreI wasn't wholly convinced of the need for this, can water taste that much different.....the answer is yes! We bought this jug 2 months ago and the difference is truly amazing, whether making a hit or a cold drink the filtered water is marvellous to drink. Teas and coffees are clear and have a cleaner look and have a deeper flavour! We love this filter it's a good size, but if you have a smaller fridge freezer the door filter jug is perfect for lovely long ice cold drinks and in a soda stream wow.Our Brita water filter has it's place in our fridge, and I'm considering a second one at room temperature for quicker to boil use teas and coffee for crisp flavours from our coffee maker. Try for yourself we now only drink filtered water.
This is the best thing I've bought in a long time. I've recently developed an aversion to tap water - it tastes and smells 'wrong' to me. We were spending a lot on bottled water but the filtered water from this jug tastes absolutely perfect - as pure as the bottled water. Also a big advantage is the little indicator light that tells you when the filter needs to be replaced. Replacement is easy, but without the indicator light I'd probably forget!
Is quite heavy when filled up, it does have a centre point of gravity but use two hands to move it. A strong arm and wrist required for single handed use. The usual high standard of filtered water and the filter seems to last a decent length of time. The hole for filling has a nice fitting flip lid but it is towards the rear of the lid and I find it difficult to fill without getting water all over the lid. (I only have a small shallow sink!) The indicator light flashes three times whilst you are pouring water but can be impossible to see due to the tilt of the jug,. Overall a very nice jug and is a good replacement for my old jug. If you have a problem with heavy weights I would recommenf buying the smaller version.
