I bought these shoes because they looked comfortable and because most of the reviews were favorable. However I learn never to leave a review until you e gotten some wear. I’ve walked and ran total in these shoes about 30 miles. When I first walked in them I felt pain in my somewhat non existent arches. But I chalked that up to the “break in” needed upon purchase. But the science behind the design is lacking. It is NOT enough support and comfort at the bottom for prolonged activity(walking running). My feet still hurt after my 4 mile each or so activity. Not unbearable pain but enough to question the shoe. I like the design. I love the shoe strings are elastic. But it’s mostly fashion over function. **update I recently wire these shoes to an amusement park where I ... Great shoe! Firm and feels fast with a breathable upper. I bought these and a pair of Ghost 15s at the same time and find myself drawn to the Hyperions whenever I can justify it. I've only put about 20 miles on them so far, but I like them for what they're meant to be. They're not the shoe for those cushy easy miles, but on a day that you want to put yourself through the paces with speedwork, intervals, or a tempo run, they're great!Where the Ghosts left me feeling sluggish and sweaty, these breathe really well and just make me want to go fast. They have a firm ride and enough rubber to keep you feeling confident taking turns, even on wet pavement or loose gravel. The heel-toe drop is significant and wouldn't be comfortable for a heel-strike runner, but for a neutral runner with strong forward posture, they feel very natural. The upper has little-to-no padding in the toe and minimal padding in the tongue, but transitions to a supportive heel with a surprisingly high ankle. For anything over a 10k, this might feel a little harsh, but it's great for fast runs in hot weather. The one thing I'm not entirely sold on is the type of lace. They're supposedly "locking" laces, meaning they're very flat and limp, but have small bumps spaced about 1/4" apart on either side, which theoretically prevents slippage. So far, I haven't had them come untied, but I don't love the design.

It is fast, breathable, and comfortable with a toe box capable of supporting someone with a slightly wider foot. I have only three complaints:1) The top of the heel can rub the Achilles and cause irritation when doing hard training runs due to the full range of motion being exercised. This has lead to blisters. Yes, even with socks buffering the skin and shoe in that area I get blisters during hard workouts which is the type of workouts this shoe is claimed to be best suited.2) The tongue on the shoe is slightly too short leading to the edge of the tongue rubbing, or seemingly "cutting" (not actually cutting I might add, I'm no Streisand) into the top of the foot.3) Cushioning: The shoes is meant for hard workouts. As an American overseas I have yet to see anyone (Americans and locals alike) with this shoe and if you're into this sort of thing, people notice it.
My running shoes are very important to me. I absolutely need to be comfortable and confident running in them. When I find a shoe that I like I stick with it. I’ve been a Brooks fan, supporter for a very long time. I’m training now in the Launch 9 now and had been using the Asteria as my marathon shoe. Speed shoe. Back then, when I found out that it was being discontinued I bought 4 pairs. So now I’m into my 4th pair. Always wondering if I’d find anything that would ever match the positive feeling I had with the Asteria. So I started looking at the tech info on your new Hyperion Temp. Several months have gone by and I finally decided to try it. I’m a very positive and optimistic guy but I figured that I would eventually just come to the conclusion to compromise and deal with a new replacement for the Asteria. So I get the Hyperion Tempos and immediately on the first run I realize that they are different. In a positive way. I’m surprised how they felt on my feet, even when running. After now having run in them over a dozen times, I love them. I feel very comfortable picking up the pace and moving smoothly through my miles at a faster pace, like I want to in my marathon shoes. And during some of my training runs. I’m in a big running club and run often with others. I’ll definitely spend the word on my experience with your shoe. I’m actually heading to Boston on Friday to run in the Boston Marathon on Monday. I’m totally looking forward to hitting this historic course for my 13th year in a row with the Hyperion Tempos on my feet. Tell everyone at Brooks, I think this shoe is a win. 👍🏼
I’ve never had a pair of Brooks shoes before, but after a week of running both indoors on treadmills and outdoors in the neighborhood, I’m really impressed with this shoe. These Hyperion GTS shoes are the lightest shoe that I have ever worn. It’s almost like being barefoot, but with a cushion strapped on the bottom. There is plenty of room in the toe box for my wider feet, but the soft upper material gives a nice hug and secures the shoe in all the right places without being too tight or restrictive. I also live in a very hot, humid environment and really appreciate how breathable the fabric is. The whole upper is so light and breathable, you could kinda forget it’s there. While this is undoubtedly a shoe designed for running, it’s looks and comfort also make for a great everyday shoe. Whether I'm out for a casual jog or just running errands, these shoes have got my back... well, my feet.
The Brooks Hyperion GTS is a sleek and ultra-lightweight running shoe that is versatile for a variety of workouts. This is one of the lightest shoes I have ever worn at just under 8 oz, and really helps maximize my speed. The shoes fit very snug on the sides of the feet, but there is plenty of room in the upper part of the shoe, especially around the toes. The slightly wider front of the shoe works well for my narrow and long feet to give me plenty of toe room. This gives a “roomy” feel, but the upper material does bunch up slightly when my I raise my heel and bend my toes. The bottom of the shoe has great traction for a wide variety of running conditions. Brooks Hyperion GTS are so comfortable, snug, and lightweight that I sometimes forget I’m even wearing shoes at all! I found myself often wearing the shoes long after my workouts since they were such a cozy fit. The shoe design is very sleek with modern materials, and I like the simple black and white coloration. The shoes seem well made and durable with quality materials. It is nice that the stitching is hidden and the shoe design seems seamless. The laces are nice and wide, with coloration to match the rest of the shoe. The wide heel is great for slipping shoes on and off. Overall, this is one of the most comfortable and effortless running shoes that is perfect for my workouts. I would definitely recommend Brooks Hyperion GTS as a modern, lightweight speed and training shoe with great support.
These are middle of the road for me as far as running shoes go. I'll start with what I like and then go over what I don't care for.First, the pros. They're very light, as a running shoe should be. Plenty of ventilation as well. The design is a bit basic, but function should take precedence over aesthetics. The laces feel a bit cheap, but they don't come loose very easily, and that's a big plus for me.Now the cons. The main thing about these that I dislike, almost to the point I can't use them, is the shape of the sole. On the outer heel there is a slight unevenness that makes me feel like my ankle will roll with each step. If you get into the right groove while running it's fine, but if you step just the right way it feels too wonky to me. Also, going back to ... I would've liked a pop of color or a different pattern to help them stand out just a little bit. These look pretty generic.Overall they're fine, not terrible but I'm just a little too worried about the uneven heel that I don't want to take the chance with them. I might give them a little more time to break in and see how they do, but my initial impression isn't very good.
The Hyperion GTS is definitely not a shoe to be slept on. Initially, I intended to wear them solely as a running shoe. After a few short sessions I realized I could easy wear these to the office as they were both super comfortable and fashionable. When wearing them outside under the sun they have a really cool sheen that isn’t too over the top. In office it’s more subtle, and works well with shorts or jeans. I will say that at first I was a bit worried about the fit because of how snug they were. After a little walking around I realized that my concern was without merit. Despite the low profile and light weight design, my feet felt well supported and connected with each stride. The support on the outer ankle kept me confident while jogging on crushed limestone and the fabric kept me from sweating too much during sprints. If I had to reach for a negative it would be that I can’t just slip these shoes on. Given the type of shoe it is though, it makes sense. It’s meant to form around your feet and keep you planted, a slip-on shoe can’t give you that at the level these shoes are designed to deliver. Honestly, I love these shoes and out of the 10 pairs that I rotate through for various occasions, these will be in the my top 3.
My initial impressions of the M Hyperion GTS are largely positive. Having used this pair for my quick, sub-5 mile runs, I find it to be a solid companion for the modern, time-pressed runner.Visually, the Hyperion GTS is a fusion of minimalism and futurism. The clean, uncluttered design combined with some sharp, futuristic elements is a sight for sore eyes. The shoe effortlessly marries comfort with structure, providing excellent foot support. This makes each run feel smooth and secure, alleviating concerns about potential foot discomfort or injury. The only reason I'm not giving this shoe a full 5/5 is that I've only had the opportunity to use it for shorter runs so far. Long-term performance and durability remain to be seen. However, based on the strong start, I'm optimistic about the Hyperion GTS's performance in the long run.I plan to update this review in a couple of months to report on how these shoes perform over time and longer runs. But if you're a runner who values design, lightweight comfort, and supportive fit in your footwear, the M Hyperion GTS might just be the shoe for you.
