Fantastic features
3 January 2022

Bought my machine a few months ago and love it. Needle and bobbin threading is a dream, can be set to through or above the fabric when you stop - it is easy to set for my sewing needs, is quiet, has enough weight to not skate around the sewing table. It has also been used on automatic sewing due to foot injury. Absolutely love this machine.

Perfect to teach others

I've had this machine forv3 years. Perfect computerised machine to teach my grandchildren! Still use it, along with the Innov-is NV1800Q that I purchased earlier this year.

So far so good

Im new to using a sewing machine but found setting the machine up, winding a bobbin, threading the needle (automatic) etc very easy. Ive done a bit of straight sewing and it runs lovely and smoothly and very quiet.

Solid sewing pleasure

I bought this machine rather hurriedly because my old faithful died suddenly .I still did some research online before I ventured out because I haven't done much sewing of late (like in the last dozen years). It all came back with the birth of my grandchildren, and a theme party. Sewing technology has clearly changed! and for the better. I once had a sewing machine with cams for the stitching patterns. There were 2 or 3 versions of a similar pattern per cam, but the whole thing blew up and there's no fixing it. This machine is similar in that it's more electronic than the old mechanical beasts, but with some really helpful features. I like the stop-needle-up/down feature, it saves time if you have to turn corners a lot. I also like the stitch-fastening start and stop ... MoreI bought this machine rather hurriedly because my old faithful died suddenly .I still did some research online before I ventured out because I haven't done much sewing of late (like in the last dozen years). This machine is similar in that it's more electronic than the old mechanical beasts, but with some really helpful features. I like the stop-needle-up/down feature, it saves time if you have to turn corners a lot. I also like the stitch-fastening start and stop (just remember to keep your hands out of the way). I know auto buttonholes have been around for years but this is amazing too and it's fun to watch it do it's thing (which is much much neater than my thing). I've seen various versions of auto-needle threading in my time, and this is the most elaborate (or so it appeared at first) but it's not at all complicated and is really effective. The bobbin threading is simpler than it used to be and threading up the machine is quick and pretty simple. There are a lot of bits and pieces to keep track of, but there's also the handy caddy for that. I note that machines these days especially in the generally affordable range aren't the cast metal monsters they once were, there's definitely more plastic, but it still feels solid and you don't have to be Arnie (does that reference need updating? Chris Hemsworth) to carry it. I bought this on special, so the price was very appealing. I think the machine will need treating with care and respect (it's not the knock around the old one was) but it's a joy to use, effective at neat, tidy and simple sewing and it's a bonus to making great stuff for the grandkids. It's brought back on old pleasure.

fantastic machine. love the fact that you can either use foot controller, or just press the start/stop button on machine. great that you can alter "shop" settings for length of stitch and width of stitch for zigzag so easily with a touch of the buttons. Much easier to use that my old mechanical one.
