This is the first ever sewing machine I have owned and used. Has proved to be very easy to set up, comes with a detailed instruction booklet and a handy dvd, which shows how to set up & use the machine. It is going to be mainly used for quilting, and I went with this one in the end due to the included quilting foot. Comes with lots of accessories to get anyone started sewing, fab machine for those just starting out or those with more sewing experience.

I have only had my machine a few days. I am so impressed. I wanted a computerised machine to use along side my expensive embroidery machine. I have chosen well! It is so quiet and sturdy. The stitches are impressive. With the extending table and various feet included I’m sure this machine will be used constantly

Great machine. Did sewing at school in my teens over 30 yrs ago. Just needed a hobby while off sick. Wanted a mid range/ price/ skill sewing machine. This fit my criteria and more Love it. Instruction booklet is really easy to understand and follow.Plus I got it at a reduced price in the sale which helped. Very sturdy not too noisey.
This machine arrived in such good time last Thursday. I love it so much, have not stopped sewing since it arrived! Does exactly what it says on the tin, would highly recommend
Bought this machine for doing some bits and bobs around the house like sorting out hems and fixing some clothing items. I was pleasantly surprised by how well put together this machine is and its so easy to set up and start using it. It also comes with an embroidery board, several tools that includes different foot plates and a foot pedal, although the machine can be operated automatically without the foot pedal. Definitely a great find for me!
Like most brother machines this is easy to use and as it comes with an extension table it was very good value. It has plenty of utility and decorative stitches and comes with a variety of feet. Whichever stitch you choose the display tells you which foot to use and gives you the stitch length and width which you can alter very easily. It also comes with a good manual and a dvd so all in all it is a good machine for and inexperienced sewer as well as an experienced one.
I bought this a couple of months ago and I wish I had gone with the singer heavy duty. Because I quilt alot and like to go at a higher speed this machine vibrates far to much and makes me slip which then it jumps stitches. It was easy to set up and all the many stitches that it includes are okay. Just wish it didn't vibrate and bounce as much.
This machine arrived on time and I was able to thread and get sewing immediately. It has a fantastic instruction cd that guides you through the steps. I am a sewing novice. The only thing was that the needle threader never worked and I had to return it. It however could sew through 8 layers of thick fabric without a flinch even with the needle it came with. I altered my cord and jeans with it. But for the non functional needle threader I would never have parted with it. I have ordered a replacement ...a replica!

I wanted to upgrade to a computerised one and I have been using this machine for a couple of days now. It just makes my sewing projects so easy and effortless.I was quite intimidated at first as I have never had a computerised machine before but the DVD was a great help and I was up and running in half an hour. It is quick to set up and it is quick to change stitches, threads and spools. I love the needle threader as that my eyesight is not what it was and I have used the stop/start button but I prefer the foot peddle as I'm used to that and feel I have better control.All in all it's a quality machine and I'm ... MoreI love this sewing machine.
