Brother ST150HDH Strong and Tough Computerized Sewing Machine, White

I give 10 stars to Swing Design!!!!. This is my second Brother machine. 1st was a embroidery PE800, 2nd Strong & Tough. Both were delivered quickly and in perfect condition, they both work perfectly, 1st is about a year old, and 2nd three months. Many extra accessories not found anywhere without being charged extra!!!. Plus , free delivery. Durable good machine. Good buy for the price.

I like this machine. It's smooth and easy to use. I wish the space from the needle to the arm on the right was larger. I repair lots of jeans and I find that small space makes it so difficult maneuvering jeans around. The machine strains when sewing through multiple denim layers but it plows through without stopping. The selection of stitches is plenty. I like the features and the fact you can reset things as needed. Glad I've chosen this

Great for thicker material and smooth running

I received this product to test from Brothers, and posting my honest review after using it few times for a week now. I would consider myself as an intermediate/experienced at using sewing machines. I have done lot of hemming and pillow cases etc. mostly. Kids' clothes and their tae-kwon-do badges and such a lot. So yes this machine can be used for far greater purpose than what I use it for, but if I ever get more into advanced sewing, this seems like will be a perfect fit that as well. One of the feature I found most convenient and impressive was the automatic threading. Usually I've had some bad experiences in the past, where threading mistakes ends up locking up the machine or complicating the task. So the automatic threading feature takes away that pain. Being all new and modern, the sewing machine has a built in LED light, that lights up the working area and makes the sewing/detail work easier. One simple but brilliant (in my opinion, compared to my old sewing machine) is the clear bobbin thread cover, where you can see how low are you on your threads. no need to open the cover frequently to check. One other thing I'd also mention is the control over the granularity of the speeds and such. I found the manual to be very helpful with all these functions. I'd definitely recommend. Thanks.

I'm Impressed!

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I desperately needed a more modern sewing machine. Years ago I was given a decent machine but it has seen better days and could be frustrating to use. This machine is computerized, wow what a difference. I'm now part of the modern world. Previously, on the old machine I wouldn't have even tried to sew through thicker fabric but this machine does so with ease. No snagging or pulling it sews smoothly and quickly. Love all the built-in stitches, a nice selection and changing between them is so easy. Bobbin setup, so easy! Perfect For A Beginner

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I have never used a sewing machine but I was amazed at how easy this one is to use. The included operation manual is extremely easy to follow and understand every step of the way. The manual is probably the best one I have ever received with any product. Since the sewing machine is computerized, it pretty much does everything for you. There is a flat bed attachment ib the front left side that flips open for storing presser feet and bobbins or it can be removed for sewing cylindrical things like sleeve cuffs or pant hems. There is also a stitch guide that snaps onto the handle which shows you the 50 stitches and which number each stitch is. The machine is much more quiet then I thought it would be. Love the back lit LCD display panel, it is easy to see and understand, you simply select one of 50 stitches and the panel tells you what foot presser foot to use and automatically sets the stitch width and length. The sewing machine has a handle on top so it is easy to pick it up and move it should you want to, it isn't very heavy. I was amazed at how quick and easy it was to shorten a pair of denim jeans and have it look like it was professionally done. I highly recommend the Brother ST150HDH sewing machine if you have never used a sewing machine before, it was very easy to learn just by following the manual.

Quiet and heavy duty!!

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of this product. This is my first sewing machine I’ve owned. It is very easy to learn how to set up and use. I like how quiet it is when it is in use and how effortlessly it sews through fabric. I like how it is computerized and easy to navigate. The automatic threading is a very nice feature, I like being able to control the speed of sewing and stopping. I’m super excited about the endless creations I can make with this sewing machine! I am super pleased and impressed with this machine. I highly recommend for beginners and pros!

STURDY AND STRONG

This is huge, as you can see when the bobbin thread is low without having to stop sewing and open the slot where the bobbin is stored also, There are 50 built-in stitches, which is a lot of your primary task is stitching. Nonetheless, this machine does such a good, reliable, predictable and satisfying job. I highly recommend Brothers. This strong and sturdy machine is so easy to use I was able to start sewing within the hour of reading the manual. Thank you Brother for making a solid fantastic machine and user friendly.

Sturdy Machine!

Getting this machine set up was very easy. Comes with all the part nicely tucked inside the box. After setting it up and threading it was ready to use. I ran a test and found all the stitching options by just twisting the knob and seeing on the screen your choice. I was surprised how effortlessly this machine runs. No jammed bobbins! It's exceptionally quiet! No issues sewing heavy materials as this is what it's made for. This machine is made very well and sturdy. It's not light and flimsy like some others. Has a handle to carry with ease from place to place and has a cover for when not in use. I highly recommend this machine whether you are a beginner or a pro. It truly worth the investment and it will not disappoint!!

What an amazing machine!

My old sewing machine stopped working a few months ago and this is such an excellent replacement! I love the style, it's sleek, portable & not so heavy! I just love it! It has so many options I haven't even tried them all yet! Besides all the options (like stitches & designs) it is so easy to use! Use friendly, easy to thread (which is huge!) and seamless stitching. It runs smoothly & I love the easy to use pressure foot, it gives me great control! I've only used it so far for mending but threading & bobbin changing is simple, you can select stitch length easily too! It comes with so many supplies - a dust cover, tools for maintenance & needles/bobbins! I'm so happy & love this is built for the somewhat novice sewer as it's strong & tough!

Zigzag bridging and tunneling.

I am so sorry to say that the zigzag stitch produced “bridging” or “tunneling” (scrunched up the fabric in the middle of the stitching). I bought the machine because my trusty, more expensive Brother started doing the same thing after sewing through too many thicknesses of fabric. I had previously tried without success to have the problem fixed on my old machine, so ordered this new “ST” model. I tested the zigzag right out of the box without adjusting thread tensions or any other factory settings.
