I have been using P-Touch label makers for years. I started out with the older series that uses M - tapes. The machine is simple and easy to use. Then I purchase the LabelMaker with all the bells and whistles that uses TZe 1" tape cartridges. You just pop it in and it's ready to use just like the older model. Have purchased this P-touch with the black on clear tape and it works great. Have been applying the tape to clear plastics containers for labeling my Hot Wheels. The tape blends well with plastic, but the lettering stands out, as if just the letters were applied to the container. It works well, and now I need a refill. Applying the tape is easy. Easiest to remove the backing, it curls a little, but does not stick to itself. Very satisfied on application and looks.

I had loaned my cousin my Brother Label Maker. When returned, she sent it back with an off brand cartridge. No matter what I did to make it work, it would not print anything. Went to Staples and received excellent help from two young men. Of course the Brother cartridge works beautifully. Many thanks to the two young men that helped me!!!
I was using a large beige mat to highlight the dozen boats that we have had over the years. I was able to label the boats with this clear tape on the mat and it looked very professional. Previously, I had a smaller mat with the same beige background and I had used the white tape with black lettering. It always bothered me because it looked like stuck on strips of lettering. With the clear tape, you can't see where it begins and ends. This tape works well with light backgrounds. However if you have a dark background, the letters will not be as visible and you need the white background tape.
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This is the go to take for the labeler. It makes everything appear in order. The print on the clear tape makes it appear the letters are individually placed on your objects. This is the one for professional looks. Can`t go wrong with this tape. Everything will be uniform and look neat and purposefully placed. Awesome tape and a must have in your supply.
The Brother P-Touch 1/2” tape for label maker is the best! Very durable and versatile to stick on most any surfaces. This is easy to install. The detail and precision of this tape is awesome. Will definitely purchase more for our label maker.
So far this product which is clear tape with black ink has been really good. Wasn’t sure how good it was until I started using it. It’s one of the best I’ve used. It’s strong and leaves perfect lines. It’s also at a good price compared to others. Go and get one to try it out.
