Burt's Bees Conditioning Lip Scrub

I’m in love with this stuff. I got this as a gift and had it sitting for weeks before I tried it and omg it is an exact dupe for the Kissu Lip Mask. The color/ flavor is obviously not, but the formula is exactly the same. Goes on very lightweight but nourishing, stays where you place it and doesn’t melt and run over onto your face. Super silky and not oily or sticky. I will never pay for the Kissu mask again as long as this stuff if around. It is amazing! I will buy this forever and recommend it to everyone!

I found this product because I got a recommendation from a friend who told me she uses this consistently during the day to keep her lips hydrated. I prefer to use this as a maintenance product instead of a go to for immediate repair. I found blistex med for my lips when they started to get really bad from cold weather and heat in the house. Then, once they got better, I use this during the day as it doesn’t put a bad taste in my mouth keeps them hydrated while being light weight. Then, at night I sleep with a thick layer of blistex on them. my lips are back in good condition they have been ever since!!!!!

I am very unimpressed with this lip scrub. The one I have came with hardly any product. Seriously, it was almost panned in the center when I took it out of the box. I literally hit huge pan in the center with my first use. This should not happen until a lip scrub has been used daily for around 2 weeks. So, that's a big problem. (Look at the pictures. You can see the pan through how thin the product is before I even used it. And, you can see huge pan after only 1 use!!) Also, there's hardly any sugar in this "lip scrub", so it doesn't exfoliate the lips well. This lip "scrub" is essentially just another lip "balm". I definitely would NOT recommend this lip "scrub" to anyone. I would actually warn them about it, and suggest that they do NOT but this product.

This lip mask treatment surely surprised me with how well it's been working and the price is great for the quality. I couldn't get myself to pay $20 for a lip mask, as I'm aware on how popular Laneige's lip masks are. But, I'm also aware that there are cheaper yet just as effective alternatives. Burt Bee's is a respected brand that delivers consistency, so I've figured I would try this for long lasting moisture and it worked. It has a medicated yet slightly honey scent, but feels very moisturizing on the lips and stays soothing for hours. I highly reccomend this product if you need something stronger than a lip oil!

I use this everyday and it transformed my lips. I am so picky when it comes to skin care and lip products I tried everything! The funny thing is I don’t even like burts lip balm but I am obsessed with this mask. It feels almost like a balmy coconut oil and is very hydrating. Doesn’t leave a waxy feel or any residue on the dry down. I can’t recommend it enough I have one by my bed and one in the bathroom because I love it that much.

So I have to say that I am a huge fan of Burts Bees Products that I'm never disappointed. However, when it came to this intensive, overnight lip mask, I really did have much higher expectations. It really was just alright did not do nearly the amount or treatment to my lips that I eould expect from a Burts Bees product. It wasn't completely terrible, but I just expected a lot more results after a few nights of use. My lips were still very dry in need of treatment after many nights of treatment. Maybe my expectations were too high? Or maybe my lips were just that bad off?

Better Than Excellent

I have used a large number of lip scrubs in my 62 years and wanted to find something less expensive than the Lush scrub that I had been using for years with unexeptional results. When this arrived I was surprised at the small size, which was less than about 1/4 the quantity of what I had been using, so this was actually way more expensive per ounce than what I have been using. HOWEVER, it is the best scrub I have ever used and will happily pay this price forever. This is not anything like typical scrubs. It seems dry with little oil with the texture of very, very fine sand, rather than the typical large sugar crystals drowning in oil. After scrubbing and wiping off with a tissue my lips were surprisingly very moist and much smoother, but it left some dry loose skin. After daily use for a week followed by the overnight intensive lip treatment, my lips are like new and have never been better. It did not achieve my budget goal, but far exceeded my expectations. I won't use anything else going forward at any price. I purchased some for my daughter and she also approves.

Disappointment. Exfoliation just clumps and doesn't exfoliate

I like the flavor (I got honey) and I like the balm it left behind. But, unfortunately, as an exfoliator it was nearly useless. The sugar or whatever crystals Clumped together nearly immediately when you start rubbing, resulting in one big clump. You can't break apart the Clumped so it's useless to just rub one thing around. I hate flaky lips before use and continued to have them after use. Wouldn't recommend as a lip exfoliator, which is like, it's job. If you want a balm to just wipe 90% of it off, there are better options out there.

Lip conditioner w/some scrub

I tried this in combination with the overnight lip treatment. I love the honey-butterscotch smell, and it is sweet and leaves lips feeling soft and conditioned. It's not as scrubby and exfoliating as the Rooted Beauty lip scrub though. I will still use it when I need a mild exfoliation though, as I love the scent and the feeling it leaves. Plus it IS effective (unless maybe you have really dry chapped lips) in addition to being quite yummy! Also, adding the overnight lip treatment after ANY scrub makes lips SO moisturized, so I recommend the combo pack.

terrible product

I don't have any high expectations when it comes to lip scrubs. I just expect them to have some or a lot of gritty particles and get rid of the flaky skin on my lips.. that's all and this scrub has none of that. When I first put my finger in the tub to scoop some out, I was confused at the texture as it looked and felt exactly like a melted lip balm.. no exfoliating particles at all. So I thought that maybe I've picked up a lip balm by mistake but no, the packaging clearly stated that it's a lip scrub. I was so very confused. Anyway I tried it and it didn't do a good job of exfoliating my lips, it just felt like a thick salve. The worst part is that it was on sale and I couldn't return it!
