Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm 4.25g

I absolutely love Burt's Bees Lip Balm. It's my favorite kind of lip balm to use, and pretty much the only kind I like to use. I got a Burt's Bees gift set for Christmas and was included. It's 100% natural, which I love and is also cruelty-free, which is important to me. It's made up of all natural ingredients such as: beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, lanolin, honey, rosemary leaf extract, soybean oil, and canola oil. This lip balm is very moisturizing and I love everything about it, but had to give it 3⭐ strictly based on taste. I just can't get passed the taste, I think it's awful. It's supposed to taste like honey I guess, but I much prefer the original peppermint. Whilst you might find that it doesn't last very long and that it's more expensive than other lip balms, this one really is the best lip balm to go for. I have sensitive skin and lips and suffered from eczema. My lips are always dry and I was looking for a not so sticky lip balm (a sticky one would be vaseline) which was effective and didn't make me itch. This lip balm did all that. I notice a difference straight away. I would suggest not applying too much as it might run out faster and there is no need to, only a think layer is necessary. After applying try not to touch your lips as you might touch your eyes, which could lead to a stinging sensation. This lip balm contains a great combination of ingredients which work to sooth, heal and moisturise your lips. The cera alba (beeswax) in this balm is used to create a protective layer on your lips to protect it from environmental effects. This ingredient will also lock any moisture in the keep your lips moisturised. The vitamin E will reduce any UV damage which is on your lips and continue to nourish your lips further. The peppermint will sooth and cool the skin, reducing irritation, itching and increasing softness. If you were to badly react to this lip balm it may due to one or two of the ingredients. These are the lanolin and/or the limonene. Lanolin is known to at times irritate sensitive skin and causing allergic reactions and the limonene's antioxidant ingredients can oxidised and sensitize your skin. Overall I really recommend this lip balm!

A usual, screw to fill lip chap, the Burts Bee's Beeswax lip balm has a very fresh and awakening peppermint aroma. Seeing this is a natural product with very few, single origin ingredients, that peppermint oil really comes through both in the tube and on your lips. While it isn't strong enough to tingle, it does manage to wake up your senses! The formula, because again it is all natural, does go on a little rough. There is nothing extra added to keep the product soft in the tube, so on super cold days, you may have to warm it in your pocket or hands for a few minutes to get it to glide on smooth. We live in Upstate NY, and our brutal winters really kill the lips. This is a MUST before any outdoor play! As far as healing chapped lips, this isn't my favorite. (I will lean more towards something medicated). However, if you use this regularly, you will stay smooth, hydrated and crack free. We love Burt's Bees for the natural and safe ingredients, great peppermint sensation and scent, and it's amazing hydrating elements.

I love this lip balm! The honey flavor is so sweet and rich. This lip balm is very moisturizing and keeps my lips from being chapped. I use it multiple times a day and at night so when I wake up my lips are super smooth. This is a must have any time of year but especially in the winter! I always use a Burt’s Bee lip balm and I really think it’s worth buying!

Burt's Bees is well known for making a great product, and this is no exception. Not waxy or oily like other lip balm products with the same price range. Very affordable and you can easily find it in any grocery store near you. Burt's Honey Lip Balm keeps my lips smooth and moist all day doesn't feel tacky when you apply it on your lips, taste and smell is okay. Highly recommend it especially now that autumn and winter is approaching!

ALLERGIC REACTION

Whatever you do, do NOT get this lip balm. I got the cucumber mint weeks ago and put it on only to get even more chapped and dry lips AND painful blister bumps around and on my lips. Not a pretty sight. But i decided to give sweet mandarin a go and right after putting it on, immediately got a huge pimple on top of my lip and my lips were burning and tingling. I’ve never had an allergic reaction to anything and whatever burts bees is putting in the ingredients that causes this for a lot of people, need to stop. Threw both of the lip balms straight to the trash. They’re non-moisturizing AND super waxy. Disgusting. Waste of money.

Bad reviews are outdated?

I’m very picky about lip balm and honestly I’m confused by these bad reviews because I absolutely love this. My lipbalm does say “new honey flavor” on it, so maybe it was reformulated. Because this smells and tastes like actual honey. It find it more moisturizing than an other Burts Bees (or any other other chapstick) this is a win and I want 10 more to stash everywhere. Even my small son went “‘mmmmmm” bc it smelled yummy when he used it.

Can Vouch for Sweet Manderin

I bought a couple sweet mandarin chapsticks last week. My lips hate seasons changing, especially to colder/dryer seasons, so my lips were in rough shape. Peeling, bleeding, etc. I have been applying a few times a day and my lips are no longer peeling or bleeding! I didn’t expect that, I haven’t had those kind of results with other chapsticks (even within the burt’s bees line, I have tried original, honey, mango, and peppermint too). I thought it would make my lips feel less uncomfortable but healing I didn’t expect, so awesome. The smell is pleasant though I’m not obsessed with it. Would definitely recommend

Favorite Lip Balm

I purchased this Burts Bees Honey lip balm to replace the original Burts Bees lip balm which has the peppermint oil in it. I didn't care for the peppermint oil sensation, but I wanted a natural beeswaxlip balm. I am very glad I tried this simple Honey lip balm. I love the rich supple feel it provides. It is just what I was looking for- a simple supple beeswax balm that smells like honey! 🍯
