Sharp image at 22X, waterproof, wider FOV than Nikon zoom. Eyecups fits better and can be upgraded to wing type, zoom is smooth. Eye relief is good. Best clarity and features in a high power zoom binocular you will find.

I've had these binos for 2 yrs now, they were just under $200. They are good binos, but are not $1000 Swarovski or Vortex good. Waterproof so they claim, but I don't plan on swimming with them on ! Rain or moisture hasn't wrecked them yet, and I've been in some downpours with them. But they're a bit bulky, I'll admit...Clarity of the glass in good, even in low light conditions. For the money I spent, I'm happy.

These binoculars are so easy to use - set the focus and then zoom in and out without having to re-focus. Probably the most powerful of the affordable products on the market. Great value.

These are very good binoculars for the money. They are clear and have a great field of view. I bought these binoculars for my 17 year old daughter that just started hunting, but I think I'll keep them for myself. They provide all I need- and at a very reasonable price.
I spent several hours reading about binoculars and optics online before I began shopping. Then, I spent many hours comparing choices before selecting this pair. These Legacy 8 x 42 binoculars satisfied all my needs. On a clear day, I can see forever! Quality seems top-notch for the money. Time will tell whether there are any weak-link parts, but I expect them to last me a lifetime in casual use. Based on this buying experience, I'm planning to buy a different style, mid-sized (8 x 32) Bushnell set for my son.
I use these several times a day. They are comfortable, easy to use and to set eye width and offset, zoom is awesome and focus is easy. Outside is a rubberized coating for good grip and focus has large ribs. I don't have anything to compare optics to but I think they are very good, no issues. The only negatives I can find is the focus has a slight bind in the middle of the range. It almost takes one finger from each hand to overcome but either it is getting better or I am getting used to it. Secondly, when you change direction with the focus reel, it has a little slop in it and does not move both eye pieces the same distance so one side is often a little out-of-focus, mostly when on max magnification so you must overshoot focus and then reverse slightly.
Loved this for long distance glassing , you have to look slower but can see into the bush up to 5 miles away clearly , close up the field of view is restricted so a quick glance is more difficult to focus on as the focusing is touchy, and you have to adjust for every change in distance , it is easy to do but takes time when you are trying to identify finer details, clarity is comparable to the the Swarovski binoculars 10/42 but still did better for long distance , and through the snow it surpassed the Swarovski binoculars.
I use these binoculars mainly at work for Police applications. I've only had them a few months but they seem fine so far. The zoom is useful once you get used to refocusing. The only negative I can comment on was that the rubber eye piece around the lense fell off 2 days after I had it. I superglued it back on with no problem though. Also the front lense cap covers aren't attached to the binoculars so they could easily get lost.
These binoculars may be a little too heavy to carry on long hikes but I wanted them to have in the vehicle or on the ATV. I am very happy with the clarity and the brightness of them. Focusing takes a little patience and practice but no more than any other binoculars. The overall quality is great. One thing to be aware of is that the field of view is much smaller than a fixed 10X would have. This could be a problem in some situations but it is still fine with me for looking at big game animals both near and far. Another piece of advice, the free shipping took 20 days to arrive. Pay the five bucks and get your order on time.
fI bought two as gifts. I have owned it myself for several years. I am a beginning birder and find them just right for my skills and experience. A great choice before springing for many hundreds to get to the next level of binoculars.
