Great ear pro at an affordable price. I find myself wearing them at home due to the sound amplification. The electronic ear pro dampens gun fire perfectly while also allowing me to hear as I instruct someone at the range. After trying the Caldwell electronic ear pro I will never use standard ear plugs again.
Excellent value. I bought 4 for my students to use but may get more.
Earmuffs work great and look good too I'm being able to turn them off and turn them on and hear the people around you so you can hear the commands nobody will get hurt your must work great I would recommend them to anybody best ones you had
This my first electronic hearing protection. I recently certified as a range control officer and wanted to hear around me without forfeiting hearing protection. This impressed me. The muff is easy to wear, adjust, and care for. A bit snug (as befitting brand new) but wore it over 7 hours straight without it feeling heavy or annoying. Access to the battery compartment was easy and instructions straightforward. Overall a great value!
Fairly comfortable but there are a few negatives. I replaced a set of Walker electronic muffs with these because there were a few things I didn’t like about the Walkers. The negatives of the Caldwells are that the on/off switch you have to long press and it has a somewhat dim backlight, so it’s hard to tell at times if they’re on or off. They’re also kind of loud, even on lower settings. I might try Howard Leights next and see if they’re what I’m looking for.
PROS: Shipping and packing was good. They block out the decimal rating as they claim and form snuggly around the ears to block out noise, which is why I've given this rating 2 stars. CONS: The headband is square and when you wear a square headband on top of a round head it only touches the very tip/top of your head and rests the majority of the weight of the earmuffs on the small top of your head which becomes very uncomfortable very quickly. I have no idea what the designers were thinking, I've never seen earmuffs with a quare headband before, it doesnt even make ergonomic sense. I was only able to wear them for 30 minutes before becoming too uncomfortable. The ear muff portion is larger and heavier than the Walker Razor Slim brand ear muffs and these felt too ... MorePROS: Shipping and packing was good. The plus/minus volume buttons on the side have a bizarre delayed reaction time, so you have to wait a second or two to experience the sound adjustment before deciding if you want to adjust it further, however the volume change varies wildly between very little difference after pressing the volume buttons, to too much difference, which means there's not much personalization or sensitivity to the volume controls. OVERALL: They do what they claim ear-protection-wise, but the volume controls are bizarre and the headband was too uncomfortable to wear so I returned the product.
Very effective at reducing the loudness of a report while still being able to have a normal conversation. Volume control adjusts the normal background noise.
