Easily the best buy I've made in a long time. I'm considering buying my wife one for whenever we go hiking and camping.

I love this pack. I bought it for its reputable durability, and it held up well during my recent travels. For a low-profile design, It holds a lot of space, even with a full 3L reservoir, and the reservoir will typically last a whole day without refilling. You can't go wrong with this one if you're looking for a durable reservoir pack with decent storage space. It has all the essential pockets and a good tube management system for underarm/over-shoulder ports, and water stays generally cold in excessive heat, but water in the tube can get warm - I tested this in Mexico's tropical weather during my adventures. My only complaint about this pack would be the shoulder straps. If you're wearing a layer with this pack (sweater etc.) at full capacity it's completely fine, ... MoreI love this pack. But again, only if the pack is fully loaded. Overall, this is a great pack and I highly recommend it!!

MULE Camelbak worked for me
13 August 2019

I bought this in late 2018 in multicam. I had read on some reviews that the shoulder straps were too rigid and uncomfortable. When I first wore the pack without anything inside of it, it seemed to be true, the straps were stiff and would not conform to my shoulders or chest.I had the pleasure of taking it out for a 30KM hike done in 11 hours. The pack was fully loaded and I am pleased to report that it was quite comfortable. When the pack is loaded, the straps conformed to my body and there was no irritation.Posting this in hopes that I will help others that are concerned about the straps. The amount of storage in the pack is definitely not a lot, it is very minimalist. It fell just short of 5 stars as the seams on the corner of the velcro is starting to ... MoreI bought this in late 2018 in multicam. My Ambush 100 Mil-Spec Crux
21 January 2024

My Ambush 100 Mil-Spec Crux has been my go to pack just about every time I set out in the high country. The MULE provides a little extra room for food and water that I just don’t get with the Ambush. Additionally, the padded shoulder straps is step up from the ambush straps. On the MULE and Ambush, it would be nice if there were some molle anchors on the sides of the pack. But a little bit of thread and a needle takes care of that. Overall a great pack, I would recommend this pack to anyone for a day trip pack.

My favorite pack by far!

I use this pack for a Go Bag, and have an additional molle pouch attached for some extra storage.(GGG 5x8 utility- MC)The molle is exact, and the color matches perfectly.I use this pack daily in training, and I'm not gentle with it. Rowing, rucking, and calisthenics, not to mention living out of it for a couple days at a time.No signs of wear after a year and a half.Fits well over my plate carrier (Fero Slickster w/shooters cut plates).Bear in mind, I'm a minimalist, and I have my go bag tuned to my needs and training, my plate carrier holds some equipment, and a battle belt holds combat and larger first aid.You wont be disappointed in this pack, even if its just for a day hike!

My new daily bag! Just perfect sized!
15 October 2023

I love this smaller design. It’s still a little bigger than my old Camelbak pack that I take out to Theme Parks Concerts and other fun activities where a larger pack would be too much. The hydration system is better than ever and my ArcTerex Leaf Alpha Shell outfit for weather fits in easily folded. It’s freaking awesome. It also fits under the Parka for staying dry in the rain.

Good: It is a nice looking little pack.Bad: Pack is way too small to be functional I could just cram a Kryptek rain suit inside, but not those and gloves.Reservoir: Leaked on very first day of hunting. Took it out of the pack, washed and cleaned it, allowed to dry, back in pack. Leaked like a sieve at the the fill cap. Leaked so much, it emptied the reservoir in about 20 min.Camelbaks are not new to me by any means. I used them in the Border Patrol for 16 years (left for another Fed agency in 2002). Even back then, their lids were prone to leaking. I had hoped they had fixed that problem by now, but I assure you they have not.All in all, very disappointed. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Solid hydration pack

I wanted a really small backpack for day hikes. Something that I could fit a few odds in ends, my car keys, a light jacket and water. I found that most backpacks were too large, so I came upon this style backpack. At 8L it was the perfect size. Small enough to barley notice it, big enough to pack just a few things.I also didn't want something that looked too "tactical" but was super durable. I didn't even know Camelbak made a military line until I went to their site, it has a lot of nice features not in their everyday line which I really am glad for. It certainly wasn't cheap, but it had what I was looking for, so I bit the bullet. The two things I don't like is despite having a much larger opening, plus the kit to hold it open for better air flow. It certainly wasn't cheap, but it had what I was looking for, so I bit the bullet. The two things I don't like is despite having a much larger opening, plus the kit to hold it open for better air flow. After 2-3 days there was some residual moisture left, which I wanted gone so I could put it away. You can go wrong with these bladders if you pack it away and they're still damp, lots of mildew issues. So I may have to jury rig a fan to move air through it because if I have to have it out air drying for a week each time I use it, it's gonna get old quick. The second thing is I wish there was a clip on the actual shoulder strap to retain the hose as it hangs. I had to come up with my own setup because the hose with it's beefy bite valve and cover flops around enough it's annoying. For the price I paid, I feel like a little plastic clip (for this price point, metal would be justified) should have been included.Overall nice design, I really like the quick detach hoses and bite valve. The straps had Velcro to to tie up the tail ends of the straps, the waist band (pretty useless)
