If I had to choose between the two it would definitely be this one due to the lightness and comfort it offers. I bought the Alliston black label long parka for myself. Iâm 5â4, 155lbs, and got size large. It fits me comfortably and has room for layering underneath. The fabric is so soft and has a very comfortable touch. The design is a classic style that lasts well. This parka is really warm and cozy. Itâs the best purchase I made in 2023 so far! Love it!

I finally decided it was time to upgrade my cheap sales rack coats that are either too heavy or not warm enough. This one miraculously fits the needs of being light weight and being so stinkin warm! It's magical. For reference I'm 5'7", short waisted, 6/8 size but I went for a large, because I did want a more comfortable fit especially over my thicker sweaters. Barbara at my local Nordstrom helped me out! And I'm so glad I went for the longer version as I'm a huge dress and tights kind of girl. Can't wait to finally wear this out. You won't regret this purchase.

I am Christmas 2023's best gift-giver thanks to the purchase of the ALLISTON PARKA for a daughter. Her previous winter parka -- much loved at the time -- was from Moose Knuckles. I took a risk when seeing a new parka was on her Christmas list to check out Canada Goose. It paid off. She claims the Alliston Parka is AMAZING. She has gushed love and gratitude since first putting it on. She dropped by last night and again said, with the current cold temps, the coat is the gift that keeps on giving. I love the snaps down the front for when Iâm in a rush or when itâs not cold enough out to have it zipped up. The hood cinches closed comfortably to not allow wind in around the edges. I am about 5â6â 125 lbs and ordered a small. If I wear my snow boots, practically all of me is covered. Love this coat. I wanted something warm for those cold winter mornings watching my sons football matches and this will be brilliant. I've tested it out on a few dog walks and I end up having to open it up to let the heat out. Once you get warm in it, it really retains the heat. No more cold legs either as it is lovely and long. The pockets are lined to keep your hands warm too. Overall, I'm really happy with it.

The Alliston is a beautiful parka. I love the length, how lightweight it is and it fit well. I'm 5'6", 115 lbs. and got the small. I previously tried Elmwood and found that to be too heavy for me and fit weird. The arm holes were very tight and also tight across the chest. There's nothing really wrong with Alliston (TEI4) but I sent this back because I'm not sure it would be warm enough for bitter subzero temperatures. I'll try Mystique (TEI5) and if it's not too heavy and if it doesn't fit weird I'll go in that direction. Otherwise I'll go back to Alliston.
