Love this coat! It keeps me warm and dry in the Ohio winter. It’s long which is what I wanted. It’s not necessarily a fashionable coat. It’s utilitarian style and features make it perfect for long walks in the cold, rain, and snow. A great addition to a coat repertoire. I ordered a small and the fit is great. Typically I wear a medium in coats but this coat runs slightly big.

I finally decided it was time to upgrade my cheap sales rack coats that are either too heavy or not warm enough. This one miraculously fits the needs of being light weight and being so stinkin warm! It's magical. For reference I'm 5'7", short waisted, 6/8 size but I went for a large, because I did want a more comfortable fit especially over my thicker sweaters. Barbara at my local Nordstrom helped me out! And I'm so glad I went for the longer version as I'm a huge dress and tights kind of girl. Can't wait to finally wear this out. You won't regret this purchase.

This is my second coat from Canada Goose. I adore the Shelburne Parka and use it a lot, but this is my first winter living in Berlin and I needed a coat that would also cover my legs, so I am delighted with my new Alliston Parka because it is not only warm and protects me from the cold, wind, and drizzle but also, all this being lightweight and even versatile to dress more elegant or more sporty. Thanks for making such a great product. Hopefully, later I can buy some things that I already have on the wish list.In case it is useful for someone, I measure 168cm and weight 59kg and I asked for a size S and it was perfect (not tight). I think the measurements listed in the size chart should be taken relatively. If I didn't already have a parka from this brand, I would ... MoreThis is my second coat from Canada Goose. I think the measurements listed in the size chart should be taken relatively. If I didn't already have a parka from this brand, I would have chosen the wrong size.To be understood: I chose size S which is supposed to be for someone with hips up to 99cm, and a bust-up to 89cm. I have 101cm hips and a 91cm bust, so if I had trusted the size guide, I would have bought a size M and it would have been large.Other measurements that should be published are those of the shoulder to shoulder measurement and the total length of the coat.

This coat is the best and the warmest!! I’m 5’7” and it hits perfectly to the back of my ankle. It’s cozy and light!! And I look good in it. I got an extra large and normally I wear a large. Just so that if I layer up I’ll have some room in it.
I absolutely love my parka! I’ve been looking for a long jacket for quite a while as there are not that many out there and the styles aren’t that great. This winter I ordered about 8 jackets in total from other brands and had to return them. When Canada Goose parka arrived it was love from the first sight! It’s long, beautiful and warm! I live in Chicago and it gets quite cold here. Parka is very warm! I’ve been under a very cold weather, traveled to Niagara Falls this winter and was able to walk around the park for more than 2 hours and have never felt cold! I absolutely love it, love it, love! 100% Recommend!
This makes me feel colder than my Mackage Kadalina. I tried it on the first coldest day in fall in October and it didn’t feel as warm as my Mackage Kadalina jacket. I felt cold in my arms. I went to the Canada Goose store and the guy working there told me this is a lightweight material. He said this won’t keep you as warm as their parkas. He was right. Mackage’s puffers will keep you way warmer for the fall than this. For fall, this coat would be fine but by winter you’re gonna be cold. My arms were already feeling cold. I’m sticking with my Kadalina puffer from Mackage for the fall than this. The ratings aren’t reliable. It depends on the coat. Length wise I am 5’1” 140lb and it’s too long for me. This runs large. I’m normally a L in the Mystique and I had to size ... MoreThis makes me feel colder than my Mackage Kadalina. This is exactly what I was looking for to replace an old North Face full length down coat that expired after 14 years and whose quality has not been duplicated in recent editions. Unlike other Canada Goose coats I have tried on that are literally unwearable because of their weight, this one does not weigh a ton yet is super warm for those of us who are always cold. It has snaps! for those times you don't want to zip it up fully. Down lining extends all the way through the length of this coat. It has wrist cuffs to block cold. It runs large in the hips but who cares?! shoulders are perfect. The hood is also lined with down and fits perfectly. The logo is the only negative thing about this coat, and as it is sewn on it is easy to remove. I have been wanting a Canda Goose for YEARS. I finally decided to spoil myself for this NYC winter as I will be commuting much more than usual. This is a big purchase for me so I was really hoping to be blown away and I definitely AM impressed but I just wish there was some suggestion that it ran so big.I am 5 ft. 3, 116 pounds and the size guide suggested that I get a small because it would be snug on my chest if I got an XS. I can assure you that it's impossible that an XS would be snug on my chest because I can pull the S about 8 solid inches away from my chest. The arms are too long as well. Even with layers, it is big. But here's the thing - I like oversized things sometimes so at the end of the day I decided to keep it because it is SO WARM it's literally ... MoreI have been wanting a Canda Goose for YEARS. Even with layers, it is big. But here's the thing - I like oversized things sometimes so at the end of the day I decided to keep it because it is SO WARM it's literally unbelievable. I wore it with the tag on for a week or so and was super careful not to get a mark on it (and I ended up keeping it because I guess I would rather have the option to wear 100 layers than NOT), but ultimately, it's the warmth for me. I may look like I'm wearing a sleeping bag - and I basically am - but I feel like I'm walking around in my living room with this thing on. I feel ZERO cold on any area that the coat touches. It's incredible. It hasn't hit 15 degrees or anything yet, but I guess that's when the layers will come in handy ;)The quality is impeccable, it's lightweight, it's chic, it feels good, it's amazing. I'm obsssed with it. Buy it. But size down!
I picked this Alliston parka for length, warmth, weight, and comfiness. I decided to find the long Alliston and Mystique parkas in store so I can try on and know my size, and also be sure these coats are ankle length. I specifically wanted a very warm coat that covered me from head to feet while watching my kids play outdoor soccer in snow and rain weather. I am 5'3" 120lbs and the coat falls at my ankle. Sleeves cover down to my fingers with comfort. Hood fits nicely with room for a hat, and keeps you dry and warm. I normally wear size 4 and decided on the small to allow for some layering. I would have ordered xsmall if I couldn't find size small. Alliston is machine washable which is also a bonus vs others requiring dry clean. I sat on the bench in the rain to watch a soccer game with a large umbrella and my butt still got wet. Not drenched wet but wet enough to notice and be uncomfortable. Alliston is still a keeper and now I know to wear weather proof pants when in the rain.
This coat is stylish (as stylish as a coat of this design can be) and warm. The nylon is durable and reinforced in high friction areas. I am usually a size 4-6 and bought a medium Bc I wanted to be able to wear thick layers underneath. I have plenty of room to do so. I probably could have gotten a small but dislike the idea of too-snug outerwear. I have tested this in -10 F temps with -40s windchills, it kept me warm!! Would definitely recommend.
