I use this as my working matte paper. It is almost identical in color and tones to the MOAB Entrada I use for customers. They wouldn't be able to tell the difference, it's just that this Canon paper isn't archival as far as I know. Which I realize is kind of absurd since it's probably good for 100 years or more & it will be a miracle if a print I sold is hanging that long. Anyway, prints look great.

I shoot mainly with a Leica M10 Monochrom and print on a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, so other equipment may yield different results. However, this is absolutely my favorite photo paper for black and white prints. If you use the same printer, be aware that the PRO-1000 will try to force a large border for this particular paper (it does not for the pro lustre or glossy versions). I use the 8 1/2 x 11 and print 6x9 for most of my prints using the 35mm aspect ratio, and am super happy with the results as the printer wants 1 border minimum. For large prints, I also purchased the 13x19 size paper.

I print high resolution black and white and color photos. This paper is incredible. No gloss so no reflection when viewed from any angle. Fantastic color and grayscale, looks like 3D images in some cases. I photographed a watercolor painting with brush marks and people thought it was the original painting. Both Epson and Canon inkjet printers. I like the Canon G620 printer the best, but slow printing.

Especially at current prices, this is a paper every owner of a Canon PRO printer should try. The print quality is darned good, certainly capable of exhibition-worthy results. It is a 210 gram paper and set expectations accordingly. A heavyweight paper will feel more premium in the hand and if that's what you or your customers want, Moab and Hahnemuhle can oblige, obviously at higher cost.My suspicion -- no proof, only intuition -- is people who posted 2-star reviews may have printed on the wrong side. Only one side is inkjet coated; printing on the other side will be disappointing. A useful rule of thumb (pun intended) is the coated side will feel slightly sticky to a moistened finger tip, the uncoated side will feel smooth. Yes, I have made this mistake myself!
An extremely matte matte finish with a slightly warm white. Side by side with Canon Pro Luster (a very good paper) it is almost identical in color reproduction and tonal range. Slightly softer and a bit warmer (Luster has a slightly cold white). Compared to Epson Enhanced Matte it gives a deeper black and has a more substantial weight. Best to keep it in the clear package until use so you can easily identify the printing side. If you are unsure, compare sides under bright light. The sparkly side is the back. It is not advertised as archival and so is probably not. You can expect some warming in the next hundred years. Not sure about optical brighteners (which degrade over time) because I don't have a UV lamp.
Great matte paper. We use this for printing enlarged magazine covers that we design in-house. The quality of the print detail and the richness of the colors are both outstanding. The only drawback is that the paper tends to curl but not an issue for us since we mount them on foam core. Printed using the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-4100 printer.
The paper itself is fantastic. Rich deep blacks and good color accuracy. I'm using an Epson ET 8550 with a Red River Aurora White ICC.Aside from the paper, Adorama is the best place so far to order it from because everywhere else packages it in a polymailer and I usually receive it with bent corners. Adorama packages it in a sturdier box with air filled pouches so it also comes in good condition.
The printer stopped cutting and now won’t read the type of paper properly — I have a Canon t200 image pro. Worked great for several prints then couldn’t get the thickness to register it seemed and the printer said it couldn’t detect the paper weight. There wasn’t an option for that particular weight so I used the “heavy photo paper” setting. Still trying to trouble shoot
I needed some 150 sheets to print 8x10s. I was thinking of cutting my 17x22 semi gloss canon papers. But I always disliked the thinness of that paper. It gets dings way to easily. Now, this matte paper is easy to handle, has a great surface, and with the right profile I got 90% perfect right away. Knowing the paper I will get up to at least 95%...
I am a crafts person who makes greeting cards. For each major holiday I create a card that I need to reproduce. The paper I was using was too lightweight. I researched photo paper and was pleased with the results after using the Canon Pro Premium Matte paper. I will continue to use this paper. Also the prints color wise are beautiful and just like the original. Thank you for having the paper available at a good price for someone who only uses a small amount.
