Purchased 13/8/2020 during lockdown. Attempted Installation 30/8. Still cannot print. Prints test pages generated from the printer ok, so its not the toner, have uninstalled & re-installed software. Called "support" still waiting to hear from anyone!!!!!. Have now filled in the returns form to return the item. Not ideal during stage 4 lockdown!! Surprised this defective, not fit for purpose item is still being sold by canon & officeworks

We bought this about 8 months ago. It was clunky to set up with wifi, not intuitive, controls on printer itself difficult to read (would be better having the display at the front).Agree with another comment that the ink is too expensive and cartridges small. Sometimes we print and it takes 10 minutes to think about it, then it jams and prints 7 times, seems to have the cancel the print queue each time you print.

Nifty Little Printer
4 February 2019

Received this printer today and absolutely in love with it.Ink is easy to install and the two paper trays is perfect for multiple tasks at once.Instruction book is easy to understand and the fact that Canon have gone above and beyond with the bonus coaster is great. Even has a hole in the middle, I guess for better heat distribution to help cool your tea quicker? Word of advice though.... keep shiny side down as it reflects light and is a bit bright.

It would be an overstatement to say I'm happy with it, but its limitations aren't enough to make me feel like throwing it out the window or taking a baseball bat to it.On the plus side, it's one of the smallest MFC printers I've used and it is very light.ConnectionThe TR4560 spec says it supports a wired (Ethernet) connection, but it does not.It supports wireless or USB 2.0 connection only. This was a nuisance because my previous printer (Canon Pixma MX726) supported Ethernet and makes it really simple to access from any computer on the network.Ethernet is also very fast, which is important for scanning. The USB 2.0 connection is much slower, but not so slow as to cause high blood pressure. The MX726 is no longer available, sadly.ScanningI use it mainly for scanning, and the quality is fine - about on a par with the MX726.The Automatic Document Feeder only handles 20 pages at a time, according to specs, but I found that it does tend to jam intermittently with more than 10 pages. However the jamming is usually at the point of entry not during the scan. The older MX726 supports smaller sizes A5 and B4, and the ADF has an adjustable slide to keep the smaller paper sizes straight during scanning. The TR4560 only supports A4, Letter and Legal and ADF has no adjustable slide. For smaller pages (eg from a book), you can make a guide out of cardboard with the edges bent up into vertical sides. The input slot on the ADF has about an inch of travel before the paper hits the rollers which pull it through the scanner. I stuck a couple of small bamboo skewers into the end of the cardboard guide to keep the paper straight in that 1 inch distance.PrintingI don't do much printing, so it's not that critical for me.There are only two cartridges: Colour and Black. I suspect the colour cartridge will stop working if any of the colours run out. If you had separate cartridges for each colour, you could just replace the one which ran out. Also the better inkjet printers have two Black cartridges -- the 2nd one is a more intense black, which gives a better result. The print alignment and clarity was very good, but the colour quality was average.

Poor Performance Printer
16 February 2019

Sorry guys but I think this printer is poor. Firstly the ink cartridges are small and expensive. A replacement set of original l ink costs almost as much as the printer. When printing it is constantly getting jammed, if there is paper there or not. If the document is to long, and printing double sided, it will print out the first page then have issues at some point for the subsequent pages. The scanning feature from the feed tray can have the same issue. It is however easy to setup and the finished product when operating correctly, i.e only printing one page, is as to be expected. If I had the receipt I would be looking for a refund and buying a different product.

Printer does work with USB cable
7 March 2020

This printer does accept a USB cable.Like most printers you need a USB A-B printer cable.I have had this printer for a few months and its fine for home use.I have not had any document jam issues.Inks might be expensive compared to printer price, but a lot cheaper than many other ink cartridges out there, plus refill tanks are quite large. If ink costs are a concern - print everything in Black only, this printer has this option as well.

Terrible in all ways
9 June 2021

Bought it back in April 2020 due to lock down as we needed to do some printing. The WiFi function work just ok for phone app but for laptop will require installation, which was tricky for me when I have to get work to authorize any software installation. We hardly use it and the ink just ran off very quickly. The ink cost as much as the printer which is crazy enough and it broke down after 14 months with error code 7500 when we barely print 200 pages over these period.

The worst printer I've ever used.
15 August 2021

I've had it for 3 months and I'm ready to throw it out. The print quality is appallingly bad - colours mix into each other, straight lines are zig-zaggy, streaks through the print-out. It totally jams and the cartridges are too small. Yes, it's a cheap printer, but it's not even usable. At least our hard-rubbish is being picked up soon. One star is generous.

Would give negative rating if possible.
30 April 2020

I’ve had this printer for less than a year. Easily the worst printer I have ever used. Automatic feeder consistently double feeds pages to the point where I have to load only 5 pages into the feed tray despite being supposedly capable of doing 20 pages. By alternatively scanning single pages on the tray, all the pages come out rotated, but not consistent in relation to each other - ie. several upside-down, several on their side. And to top it off, the printer is now no longer detectable on my network, despite manually connecting to my WiFi. Absolute, worst printer ever!!
