Fantastic for all curly hair!

I've tried so many curly hair products over the years, and this one is both the least expensive AND the best one! I could not believe it. I typically always used gels because the Southern humidity is so strong here and I needed extra control, but this somehow does better to fight humidity than any gel or spray. Curly hair needs moisture more than anything, so it makes sense that a moisturizing hair cream would work best. Also, it doesn't leave your hair feeling "crunchy" or stiff. It's super smooth, hydrating, and smells fantastic too! It's definitely worth a try if you have curly hair. Just make sure not to use too much at a time or it may leave white streaks that are hard to get out. Formula changed, scalp broke out bad

The last time I bought this was in bulk because it was on sale and I wanted to stock up, and it took me a while to get through. Apparently it took me long enough that there'd been a change in formula and the new one feels like there's some sort of wax in it now so my hair hangs limp with these draggy waves instead of the nice, loopy curls the Cantu used to give it, and I got these awful zits all over my scalp after using this stuff. This was the only thing that was different in my haircare lineup, and while the new zits stopped coming a day or two after I quit using the curl activator, it took a while for my scalp to heal up from the damage. It smells great. Nice texture. It's great for thick curly hair but might be too heavy for thin curly hair. Love that is made up of all natural ingredients with no nasties to damage your hair & scalp. I bought the small bottle to trial it but have now found I can pop it in my handbag and tame my unruly curls anywhere. Great for beating the humidity frizzies.Adds lot of moisture and leaves my curls silky & super soft without making it greasy. Washes out easily too.

Moisturizes and adds shine!

I was looking for a product to replace my Curls Poppin' Pineapple Curl Jelly. I didn't like the Blueberry line smell and the Pineapple was getting increasingly difficult to find (maybe it's being discontinued). Tried this cream from Cantu and I think it might even be better than what I was using before! The bottle is larger and I only need a tiny amount (maybe a dime size dollop) so it's a much more economical choice. I use this out of the shower in wet hair -- I rub the product all over my hands and then I flip my head over and lightly touch it over sections of my hair then squeeze it up in there to make sure it's applied consistently. Then I put my hair in a cotton wrap for a bit while I do my skincare stuff, maybe 5 minutes later I let it all out to air dry. I am still working on finding new products to hold the style (I have thin wavy/curly hair so it needs a little help holding the waves and curls especially as I tend to sleep on them - I like scrunching out the crunch the next morning, you know?), but this cream does a great job moisturizing and making my hair soft and shiny. To be continued with the rest of my routine but for any ladies looking for a Curls Curl Jelly replacement, this is a good one to try!

Pretty nice!

I live in a humid country so I usually need either a lot of cream on my curls or just more than one styling product. With this Cantu Curl Activator Cream, I have gotten away with using just this and already getting a decent amount of control. My curl type dries in a way that already lets the curls come out without coaxing, but this cream defines the curls even more. And I don't diffuse so it really helps achieve some type of neatness with my hair even with just this, brush styling, and air drying. I would, of course, do more steps if the occasion calls for it. But for doing errands, just the cream is fine with me!I don't like the coconut smell, though. Not a coconut fan. It smells decent though.

Strong Scent/Good Product

The scent of the product is a bit overpowering for my taste and I learned the hard way that a little bit goes a long way! With that said, once my hair dried and the product did it's thing, I had some great curls! For this being a small size bottle, I think you definitely get your money's worth and more. The consistency of the product is thick and like I said, a little goes a long way. It is a little difficult to squeeze out a perfect amount but overall I see the benefits of using this product. I think the quality is great for the price and if you can get past the strong scent, you'll love using this product to add moisture and definition to your curls.

Since childhood I have always hated my curl. And now when I understood how to take care of my curls, I often got confused about which product to use and what other options do I have.
