I have tried many curling definition creams, but this one has defined my curls better than any other product. It smells very similar to the leave in repair conditioning cream which is a good thing. Very pleasant and fresh smelling product. Nothing too overwhelming or powerful. I have naturally curly hair, extremely coarse and thick and this works wonders. I'm never going back to Pantene again!

I have been using this cream on and off for a couple of years now. It is very moisturizing and I really love it for my wavy/curly hair.I can always tell the difference in my hair, when I haven't been using it for a couple of washes.The scent is quite strong tho (somewhat tropical/coconuty) so if you don't like that, you might want to try something else.You only need a small amount (two fingers full should suffice shoulder long, thick hair) so a little goes a long way :-)If this review was somehwat helpful for you, please give it a thumbs-up, thank you!

I use this on my human hair curly wigs and my natural kinky curly thick hair as well. You don’t have to use too much for the product to work. I use this and a tiny bit of tea tree oil(not grease). And massage into the hair. It leaves it moisturized and the curls are defined with out crunch or white spots. Don’t use it everyday or it will collect and then white. Maybe every other day. A little oil and tiny bit of water and the product comes back alive for you. The big container last for months.
My hair is somewhere between straight & wavy (which is annoying, I wish it would be one or the other!) it is bra strap length & quite thick. If I leave my hair to dry naturally, it would be a bit dry, but not too bad, it would have frizzy bits and it wouldn't have a nice wave pattern, it'll be kinda kinky in places and straight in others. However, using this, I have noticed when I air-dry my hair, it is more bouncy and has a more defined wave pattern, without being way too curly! It feels so soft and healthy and no frizz at all! HOWEVER, it is sometimes easy to put it way too much and then when it dries it looks kinda greasy. But maybe that is becuase my hair is both straight and wavy. So the amount I put in for myself, might be different for someone else
I bought this a few years ago when I first transitioned to natural hair care and was misled by the fact that it says it's for waves. When I first applied it to my hair, it was so weighed down it wouldn't dry properly. My hair used to be wavy/curly back then and on rather on the fine side so it is definitely more for kinky, thick hair. The product is extremely thick so even a smaller amount would probably weight my hair down. It is also loaded with fragrance, with it being one of the main ingredients, however the coconut smell is pleasant.
I've had this for about a month now. If I use too much my hair ends up looking greasy. But this product does help tame my frizz issues and works well for braid outs. So in general just start out light-handed, you can always add more gradually- too much could weigh your hair down. (I describe my hair below). I think it would work especially well for folks with thick hair, kinky type hair, curly hair, low porosity hair, or for anyone wanting to try braid/ twist outs regardless of hair type. The odor is pretty strong. I suspected as much so I'm happy I went with the smallest size possible. I really can't express enough how thrilled I am that it's available in a 2 oz. size!!! Definitely fixed me right! at 35 Im finally realizing I have wavy hair. my hair is thick more half way and down, wavy and straight. If I brush it it becames frizzy. I theied this this past weekend and I love it its a must. i didnt had it to my top of my head since I do get oily easily on top but it did perfect on the bottom area. Made waves, tamed my frizz. My mixed son has long hair on top and he loves it also works great on his hair. The pictures are of my hair. In orange shirt is dry no cream and frizzy. the other picture is cream and feeling great!
its easy to use too much of this product as it builds up very easily. styling with soaking wet hair made it easier, but no matter how much i used my hair never felt soft or moisturized at all. ive also found that this doesnt do well in fl humidity. im someone who will always finish a product before buying a new one, but i couldnt even finish the travel size of this product. this might work better for someone with coily or higher porosity hair, but there are more moisturizing options out there
