Cardo Freecom/Spirit Half Helmet Kit

Finally a pair of headsets that work easily together and can withstand a bit of inclement weather. They are already paired, The battery for us, has lasted up to 14 hours.I only wish there was some kind of protective cover for the battery area when riding without communication to protect the inside.Wish we had discovered these sooner.

Helmet upgrade

EZ setup. Solo rider, so I listen to music mostly. I will be using for GPS also. Easy to knock off if not careful handling helmet.

More uses than just for 3/4 moto helmets.

This boom mic works well, I take one star off for the audio speaker jack as it is on a long dongle which may be tucked in the liner on a 3/4 helmet but if it was incorporated into the base, it would be more robust and less chance of snagging on something, so it must be taped down on the exterior. My use was to apply this on a Troy Lee Designs A1 bicycle helmet for mountain biking. You must sort out the type of earbuds that you will use for this application as wind noise ill come in to play on your ears getting that extra wind. I ride fast enough that wind noise on an ill fitting earbud is literally damaging to your hearing. Also the Freecom units connect to a phone so why not have that connectivity on every helmet you wear. I also thought of using this on hikes by clipping the second mount to my backpack strap and with earbuds. This then replicates the Adventure series of Cardo comms but at a fraction of the prices since you already own the Freecom X. Well worth the money but these won't last as they are discontinued at most retailers. For durability, I'll need more time with it as I've only used it for 4 rides so far.

One seems to work work ok

I went in to have a Sena S5 comm system installed into my wife's new LS2 helmet. The salesperson convinced her that she'd be better off upgrading and Cardos were on sale. I explained I had a half helmet and was told Cardo has a half helmet adapter kit and I was asked to bring the helmet in so they could confirm it would work. I did. We bought the Cardo 2-pack and ordered the adapter. When I received the adapter I took the helmet in and told it wouldn't work, there was no place to put the speakers. I got reimbursed for the adapter but now only have the Cardo system installed in one helmet so I can't comment on whether it works well or not.

Product is probably good but I wouldn't know!

The store manager at the Huntsville Al. Store who in December told us it would work . Started off by saying this is going to take awhile to do. Gets her phone out and walked to the rear of the store. Then comes back takes my helmet attempts to install then looks up and says these are not going to work on your helmets. She said she had never installed any and then proceeded to refund my money.I will not go into that store again due to her attitude. Extremely disappointing in all three employees of that store on this visit.

Worked great after we figured out the app connection issues

Out of the box install was easy, the app takes some getting used to, the app will frequently say they're not connected when they are, we learned to close the window on your phone and re open the app and it all comes back up, music sound and pairing with other riders for communication works awesome, sound quality is great, remember to get the half helmet kit if your using half helmets

not worth the one day of use I got due to cradle not holding during riding

The first day it worked fanatastically. The second day it fell off my helmet mid trip and was lost. These things are way too expensive for these kind of problems.
