Carhartt Wind&rain Bonded Jacket Brown 2XL

It's a great jacket for what I need. It keeps the light rain off me. And it's light enough that I don't perspire when I work. I transport our seniors back and forth to doctors appointments and their personal needs. It's light that getting in and out of my vehicle when it's raining and cold. I also like that it snaps and not zips. The hood lays pretty flat when not in use but easy to pull up when it's raining. I've been looking for a jacket like this for several months. It's also breathable! I would recommend this for others that perspire the way I do. It's a great jacket.

Easy jacket to wear without advertising for Carhartt

Great bang for the buck jacket! I wore it for a relatively extended period in the rain and it performed beyond expectations. The best part is the logo on the front is easily removable and the fabric underneath is clean and consistent after it's removed. If you want the best product, but don't want to advertise that you still support a company that makes politically charged decisions that effect the health and well-being of their employees, this jacket is highly recommended with an easy modification.

Good Mid-Weight Jacket

Ordered this jacket online. The outer fabric and the lining are very nice material; too nice for a work jacket I think, but that’s just my opinion. I was hoping for an outer material closer to cotton duck. This material is lighter-weight and has sort of a peach-fuzz finish——a bit more dressier than cotton duck. There is a spacious hood attached, but the draw cord is without cord locks. I added some of my own. I’m 6 foot tall, 200 pounds. The 3XL fit md like I like: loose with room for s mid-layer if desired. Overall, I’m satisfied with this jacket. Would consider a vest similarly constructed if available.

Great Shirt Jac

I can never have enough pockets, so with that said, would have been nice to have inside pockets. That's why the 4 stars. This may not make sense to the reader (see pic) but the outside hand pockets are on the inside of the shirt. I'm going to sew the bottom up so I'll have inside pockets. Other than that it's perfect for Western Washington drizzly days. Lite enough for warmer day and roomy enough to wear a sweatshirt underneath. 5 stars for quality built.

High quality, warm, good looking coat -- but order down in size

Great looking, top quality, warm shirt/coat -- but order down in size. I am 6' 1" and a relatively thin 200 lbs., and usually wear a standard men's large or even x-large if it's "fitted." Based on reviews, I ordered a medium of this coat, which to me fits exactly like a relaxed fit large. Even the sleeves are a good length. Feels rugged, warm enough for 30 deg. weather with just a long-sleeve shirt underneath, hood is roomy enough to go over a hat, and when I layer a shell over it (fits great under the large Storm Defender heavyweight jacket), it makes a good wind/water resistant winter coat. The snaps look nice, but a zipper would probably be more convenient. No big deal. All told, really pleased with the coat and my wife approves. Highly recommended.

This may not make sense to the reader (see pic) but the outside pocket is on the inside of the jacket making it look like there is an inside pocket. I put my phone in and it fell out on the floor. If they had just sewn the bottom up, which I'm going to do, there would be 2 inside pockets. Other than than that it perfect for Western Washington rainy days. Not too heavy and roomy enough to wear something heavy underneath if needed. I agree with another reviewer that it should be called a jacket shirt rather than a Shirt Jac.

More Jac Shrt than Shirt Jac

I love it. But it's more Jac Shirt than Shirt Jac. I was expecting/hoping for something with a softer, more free fitting outer fabric. This is definitely more stiff and jacket-like than soft and shirt-like. But I still like it a lot. The description should be more accurate.

Repels light rain

Call repels light rain. Would have liked to seen the inside sleeves in a nylon product so that your arm can slide in without pulling your shirt or sweatshirt up your own. Also, when you open the coat you think you’ve got a pocket to drop something in on both sides of the coat, but in actuality it is open and if you put something in there, it’ll fall out of your coat. it is just made there for the outside pockets

Seeing and feeling is believing.

I absolutely love this jacket. I got mine in the heathered khaki color.From the moment I saw it on the rack at Dicks, I knew I wanted this jacket. I tried it on there, but the size seemed to run 1 size up for me. I generally wear an xl jacket, but this one felt like the arms were too long.So I ordered it from the Carhartt website and awaited in anxiously.I can't tell you how much I love this jacket. Think medium duty sweater with exterior of a heavy duty canvas rain parka on the outside. I generally pair this with a sweatshirt since I wear sweatshirts as much as I am able to. So it's nice when it's wet outside or 45* out, this can go right over my other clothes.My husband is WILDLY jealous. She ordered herself lg. reg. & 2xl tall for me , lots of pockets , good fit ( Sharon's sleeves long but ok) room to wear over vest& sweatshirt in cold wet weather. Sharon drives school bus & I run shipping docks so we tried them out in some bad weather days , very happy with our purchases , I have relied on Carharts brand for better than 50 yrs. , in the field , construction, farming, & outdoor sports along with firefighting ( best for wild fire service ) and everyday wear .Be it rain , snow or sleet along with blocking wind , these jackets are great & the colors - styling perfect in our eyes.
