I used cts1 for less than 4 weeks ,I return it because the middle c key make a strange noise ,! I play they keyboard less than few hours What a poor build quality The sounds quality are good ,the numbers of tone very limiting (61 tones ) The interface is very easy if you play only solo nothing more ,the functions like transponse ,change Octive ,layer tons need to press multiple keys ,in my opinion it's useless because it take too much time to change simple function I am very disappointed with Casio cts1.

Amazing for the price

I've got a Korg Kronos and a Nord Electro 5D61 and 6D73 this thing plays along perfectly with the big boys. So the Casio has I think 60 sounds in it they're all usable. The Korg has about 3000 sounds, most you'll never use. The Pianos, Electric Pianos, Strings, Synth, and Keyboard sounds are all great. The weakest sound is the Organs. I ran it through my Lester G pedal and not so bad. For the cost this thing is a steal. Just wish it had 1/4" output.

This board is so much fun to play because of its professional sounds. The on-board speakers sound good, but with headphones or small monitors its really amazing. I have a Korg Kronos, and a Kawai Es-8, and I bought this as a use anywhere, take outside board. The CT-S1 uses a newly designed key-bed and its very quiet, and feels solid compared to the older Casio's. Its not weighted, but firmer and quieter than my CTK-5000. This board cant be beat for the price, pro sounds, great build quality, light and portable.

Amazing...for the price
31 August 2022

Obviously this isn't going to be a state of the art keyboard. It's great for learning and practicing. The sound is surprisingly amazing. The keys are weighted, I'm sure that more expense keyboards are even better, but for this price I don't think you can beat it. Overall, it's an amazing value and I highly recommend it. If you want to keep it in this price range I don't think you could do much better.

Fits my needs perfectly. Fantastic sounds, nice keybed
8 January 2023

I'm using the CT-S1 in a "mini-studio" in a corner of my office where I can practice, work out musical ideas and sequence, all away from my larger setup in the studio. The piano sound in this little keyboard is really good. Not something you'd expect from a < $300 keyboard. The electric piano sounds are good too. The keybed feels very good for being non-weighted -- a little heavier than many synths -- with a nice texture to the surface.I'm using an X-stand with a 2nd tier where my laptop sits and use the internal speakers as the monitors. They are good enough for the piano work and light sequencing I'm using it for. I haven't had the need to go into my studio to use the "big rig" in a couple of weeks. I haven't found a single thing that could be improved given ... MoreI'm using the CT-S1 in a "mini-studio" in a corner of my office where I can practice, work out musical ideas and sequence, all away from my larger setup in the studio. The piano sound in this little keyboard is really good. Great keyboard, perfect for me
14 November 2022

I bought this keyboard to use in playing Baroque music. It has a harpsichord setting and the tuning can be adjusted for modern (equal temperament) tuning or for Baroque (mean tempered) tuning, and can be set for A440 or for A415. The action is good and the keyboard is easy to set up. I will also be using it for MIDI input to music-writing apps like MuseScore.

Love this keyboard
4 October 2022

I am fairly new to the keys; have played guitar for 35 years or so. My wife has a Yamaha P115 (older version of the current P125) and it's a great keybaord but I was looking for something smaller and portable, something I could noodle with on the couch watching football or take on a roadtrip.I had played the cousin of this board, CT S200 and was not impressed. Then watching a YT review it stated that the CTS1 had an upgraded sound engine and also touch sensitive keys. Those two were a game changer. I went to my local GC and played one and realized this was the right keyboard. I love the design, there are around 60 sounds so not nearly as many as other products but they are all pretty good and usable. The touch sensitive keys make a huge difference, its a two point system (higher priced keys have 3 point) but still allows you to play expressively. It lightweight and easy to move.

Serious instrument at a joke price
22 June 2021

I bought this after listening to sound samples and watching reviews on youtube. The sound quality is surely unmatched in this price range. The grand piano sounds, the synths, keyboards, and especially the Rhodes and organ sounds, and all the others, are excellent. This keyboard is a good choice if you:Are learning the keyboard, and want a good quality sound at a budget price pointAre an experienced musician looking to get a cheap practice or portable keyboardIf you are very tight on space and want something that looks excellent, performs excellent, and is able to do MIDI interfacing on DAWs and notation apps. The only con I have is that some of the features on this keyboard are a little tedious to access or enable, namely programming the metronome and setting ... MoreI bought this after listening to sound samples and watching reviews on youtube. However, I have to say I don't really care. The fact that you can set this thing to play in Just temperament and choose the tonic far surpasses anything anywhere near this price point. If you're looking for an arranger keyboard or something that can accompany you, this is not your keyboard. The Yamaha PSRs have more features, but they feel much more like toys to me. This is more of a legitimate musical instrument. Oh, and the design is outstanding. This keyboard is gorgeous to look at, truly a masterpiece.

Terrific Sound & Key Feel
15 July 2022

In the 80s I had a couple mini keyboards from Casio. I never thought I'd say in 2022 that Casio makes the most natural feeling keyboard I've tried. Honestly! Yamaha & others felt fake, and this Casio felt like the weighted keys of my favorite acoustic piano! I bought it to play as my daughter walked down the aisle for her outdoor wedding because the venue had no piano or keyboards. I had it sent directly to the venue and didn't even get to play it till sound check. It felt great. Totally comfortable. And the sound was perfect. So yea, I recommend this. By the way, it does have a music stand, which I wasn't sure it did.

Very happy with CT-S1 for a beginner
13 December 2021

We wanted a keyboard for an 8 year old, to support her piano lessons. We weighed various options. We like:- The realistic instrument sounds- A manageable number of sounds with very little dross in there- Feel is not too different from a piano, for a beginner- Price is good- Keyboard is amongst the smallest and lightest in the category- Good speakers built in.Things I don't like, but that don't really bother me:- doesn't support bluetooth headphones even with a dongle- relies on flimsy 3.5mm jack to connect any external amp/headphones.
