Cycling Protection. Come Rain or Shine. After four generations of the Perfetto long sleeve, the Perfetto ROS Long Sleeve Jersey gets the biggest performance upgrade yet, as denoted by the ROS in the title, Rain or Shine. This cycling jersey delivers comfort across a remarkably wide range of winter cycling conditions. Cold-weather comfort is taken care of by two exclusive Castelli GORE-TEX INFINIUM fabrics by Gore, a lightly fleeced front panel keeps in warmth while a lighter and high stretch rear fabric enhances breathability, so you always feel at just the right temperature. However, should you get caught in rain or snow it's then that the water repellent performance of the INFINIUM fabrics really come into their own. The Perfetto ROS is also the perfect weight for layering - use a light base-layer for milder conditions or add a thermal jersey underneath for more extreme cold. You decide. Details Honed With improvements to the fabrics complete, attention was then focused on getting all the details right. Improvements can also be found to the pockets, now larger to accommodate gloved hands, so no more frustrating fumbling for that energy gel. They also feature a pump sleeve inside, while below the pockets a dropped tail adds extra rear wheel spray coverage. Easily accessible side zipped vents boost airflow and a large reflective detail on the back is ideal for those shorter, darker days of winter. All details that really count towards comfort when cycling in the cold and wet. If there is just one item of clothing to see you cycling through autumn, winter and into spring, then the Perfetto ROS Long Sleeve Jersey could be it. An investment in your comfort as you tap out those colder weather miles in anticipation of summer smiles.

Castelli Perfetto Ros Jacket

Windproof and Waterproof!!! This is the best winter, fall, and spring jacket. Worn this for more that 4 hours in deep winter gravel and road cycling with rain between minus 2 to Zero, 4 to 8 degrees c. Depends on your base layer. It regulates your body temperature. No over heating and too much sweating. Warm and it dries up your body gradually. Excellent tech from Castelli. In fact it's the reason why I bought 3 Perfetto ros :-) Thanks to Bikeinn/ Tradeinn for excellent pricing and customer service.

Excellent jacket for cool temps lower 40f up to low to mid-60's with zipped vents open. Probably could easily go lower temps with a good baselayer. Blocks the wind really well.Usual Castelli fit for me, up 1 size from "normal" sizing. I usually wear medium tops in other manufacturers such as Pearl Izumi. Fit is definitely snug/race fit.Would have preferred 3 back pockets but the two work fine being large and deep.As others have mentioned the Pro Red colour is somewhat a darker red than that pictured in the product images and video.Overall great jacket, would buy again.

Great Jacket.

Had goretex products before and they are still outstanding. This is a fantastic Jacket. 2 hour ride to test it and it was perfect. Could not feel a bit if wind. Looks amazing too (not just my opinion). Fit... I am 178 tall and reasonably broad across the shoulder. Knowing Castelli.I opted for the xxl and was not disappointed. Snug enough to not feel overpowering as a jersey can be. Just enough room to move !I would order another for sure. Blue this time.

Name worthy

Brilliant jacket, covers all bases and ticks all boxes. Versatile enough to tackle most temperatures and all but the very worst conditions.I ordered my usual Castelli small size and initially feared it may be too small. After wearing the jacket in the house for half an hour I found the fabric stretched a little and resulted in a perfect fit. Great piece of kit and if I was only allowed one three season jacket/jersey it would be the Perfetto. The orange is very high vis unlike the Castelli orange which is more toned down to a pumpkin colour. Two rear pockets allow easier gloved access. The inner pump sleeve I choose not to use. In case of a tumble, I have found tools and pumps in your jersey have the potential to inflict further injury.Quick delivery from Start ... MoreBrilliant jacket, covers all bases and ticks all boxes. Nice controversial jacket

I am 95kg 1.85cm weekend warrior with some extra weight & a belly. The xxl is tight- very very tight, particularly at the sleeves/shoulders. Yet I used to it, it took me a couple of times and the jacket took the shape of my body as well. I would prefer it however just a little bit more comfortable in the upper body. The membrane is light; a bit thicker & brushed in-front (infinium 205) than the rear (203). It's not particularly warm and at 4-10 degrees that is advertised, you need a layer or /and you need to work on-the bike to generate energy and warmth. If you do this you will be fine, it keeps the cold air out. between 10-14 degrees is the sweet spot of the jacket for me but my rides are not so intense and the feeling of cold differs to each one of us. I haven't test it in the rain. I like the jacket, the tight fit gives you an athletic fast look, even to me that I ride for leisure. Like others said its definitely more comfortable when you are in the riding position and it should work very well for more serious riders.

Perfect for cooler weather
24 May 2023

I purchased this jacket beginning of the Uk spring and it was perfect for the cooler days, early mornings and riding into evenings. Temperatures ranging from 5-14 degrees, usually around 8 - 10 degrees. The wind proofing keeps the chill off whilst the chest vents & removable sleeves mean it’s perfect for cool mornings that warm up and increase its versatility. I’m a 39 inch chest and usually a medium, you need to size up so I wear a Large. Nice long sleeves and high collar. It’s a slim clean cut that’s Shorter at the front longer at the back. I got it in a Steel blue and love it! You can’t beat Castelli for cycling jackets!

Perfect indeed

Have used for a month now. And can confirm it is perfetto indeed. It struggles when temperatures dip below its design range but that's not what it was design to do.While it not a waterproof jacket. I found it it was waterproof enough! And even when the water soaked tru which was very minor compared to cheap dedicated waterproofs. I was still warm and could easily carrying on riding when other jackets I might of just went home cause I felt miserable. The removable sleeves also add a extra layer layer of versatility as you can remove them on the fly and stay cool. Along with the ventilation zips this coat gives your a ton of options of controlling your cooling than just opening your coat and causing drag. The only really negative is the 2 big pockets. Perfect like the name!

I bought this because I heard of the incredible reputation of the Gabba as a foul weather jersey that changed everything in the cycling world and I wanted it's long sleeve cousin. I live in a place that's wet and windy for much of the year so, while this Perfetto is expensive, I figured that it'll be a good investment and I'll be getting a lot of use out of it. And, so far, I am loving it.I've used it in the dead of night on short rides to work and it's been great (though it was summer). I've also used it in a long ride where the heavens started opening up about halfway through. My friends mentioned they were soaked through and cold by the end of it. I wasn't wearing waterproof trousers so my legs were also soaked and cold but I have to say that the jersey did so well that the moisture inside the jersey was probably just my own sweat. I wasn't wearing a base layer either. I think the temperature was around 15-17 degrees.I cannot attest to its windproofing capabilities because I haven't been in truly windy rides yet (I expect I'll find out during winter) but I can categorically say it does its job in wet weather that you'll feel comfortable. I am very confident that when the winter temperatures come, it'll be great with a base layer.Just be sure to look at the sizing chart before buying. This is my first item from Castelli and I would have bought a small if I hadn't looked but their sizing chart as me as medium. It's a little tight on my shoulders but, otherwise, the medium fits well.

Too expensive compared to deals on newer version
1 April 2023

I've rated this jacket 3-star which Saddleback align to "Good". I've done so largely because of the price at which I purchased it relative to the newer version of this jacket which was imminent at the time of my order (and which I eventually purchased elsewhere at a great price).I took advantage of Saddleback's end of season sale. Most of my order looked like it's never been out of the bag since it left the factory in and this isn't my usual experience of such sales. I recall this being purchased at 40% off.I purchased 2XL - I'm 6'0", weigh around 90kg and would describe my build as medium. 2XL was an okay fit for me (I have broad shoulders and longer than average arms). However, it became clear that the updated jacket was coming and with more room inside and the third rear pocket. I returned this and ordered the ROS 2 whose price was plummeting at the time. What I would say about the newer jacket is that it's not very warm. I'm used to riding in cold winter temperatures but the ROS 2 jacket couldn't cope with the lower stated temperature of 4C, even with two Assos winter base layers underneath (one was Ultraz Winter)!I've awarded the original jacket 3 stars on the basis I never used it outside and it's really made well. However, I'd give the ROS 2 just 2 stars because of the thermal experience.

Worth waiting for.
