I'm not recomending this product. As I used in my Mitsubishi Triton mk petrol. Starting to make lifter noise. I always used penrite oil but my bad took cheaper options.

I use this oil in my high mileage Holden Commodore fitted with 3.8 ecotec engine (300,000klm's). No top ups needed between oil changes and has cured rear main main oil seal leak (common problem with ecotec motors)..

I've been buying the GTX high mileage for as long as it's been available. Mainly because I've never bought a vehicle with less than 100K on it. This oil has served me and all my older vehicles well.
I read other reviews about how their vehicles rear main stopped leaking after using it. Sure, I thought really. My story starts with purchasing a V6 Prado, checked on a pit after driving it 30 km. No leaks. Changed the oil to a full synthetic after 2 weeks, no I got drips on the floor. What the hell, back on the pit, it’s the rear main. Tried a leak stop, better but.Towed a 1750 kg cvan 9000ks, still a minor leak. GTX high mileage comes on sale 1/2 Price so I bought some. 500 ks later no rear main leak.
Unusual that this oil is only API SN, no ACEA A3. ACEA A3 has better wear protection, sludge protection and reduced piston deposits.Not saying that Castrol hasn't made a product that might meet or exceed ACEA A3 specifications, but disappointing that it does comply with the common European standard.
Castrol is my go to oil for my older vehicles. I have found the 15W-50 works well in my 1981 model Mercedes Benz W123 four cylinder petrol engine. It has a high 270,000 ks and still does not burn oil between changes (15,000 ks).
This oil is perfect for those older v6s and v8s that need a bit of loving... A great oil and usually a great price always good o go
I have a beautiful W140 with the M104 engine which are famous for going well over 1,000,000km but not without leaking oil along the way...I had been running HPR15 Diesel which is one of the thickest 50 weight oils on the market to keep the drips to a minimum. I have eyed this stuff up for a while cause of its ability to restore seals and I'm glad I gave it a go! Despite being a bit thinner (which is also a benefit) it has significantly reduced the oil leak, I'd say by about 75%!
I bought this for 2003 Avalon with 300K km on the odo. There was a small oil leakage (never dropped below the min level by the end of 10K km oil change cycle) but looks like after using this oil it is stopped.. Usually, I was using 15w-40 but now switching to this one..
