I have my 1999 model Subaru Forester serviced regularly by my trusted mechanic but always supply this oil as it always seems to run much more quiet on start up compared to other oils. It was also recommended to me by a long time friend and mechanic in another state as being the most suitable for my car. I have used it since I bought the car new. I still own the car because its still 100% reliable and in perfect running order. I always wait until its on special and grab 1 or 2 bottles from Supercheap Auto and hold them until needed rather than paying full price. I always order online as I am disabled and cannot always get to the store during the sale period and then either collect them myself or have someone do it for me. Castrol MAGNATEC Engine Oil -10W-40, 5 Litre is a Quality and consistent product that I can always rely on to keep my car running efficiently at all times.My only significant concern is there is no tangible record in my account and or on my paper purchase receipt stating that my competition entry has been successful. This issue also occurs regarding my emailed receipt which if in place would give entrants peace of mind.

Changing engine oil shouldn't costs an arm and a leg. Bought this on sale and it's good for 10,000kms over this summer. A heavier oil for a warmer climate. Especially for a hard working engine like the Hi-ace.
I have been purchasing Magnatec for my 3 cars for as long as i can remember. Now some genius in the packaging design department thought that getting rid of the side handle is smart, well how are you supposed to pour the oil easily and smoothly then? Is it just to save space so they can stock it closer to each other? No it's a dumb decision and whoever approved this new design should be sacked immediately!
As my vehicle is approaching its senior years I have noticed the full synthetic oils I have been using have been becoming dirtier quickly and have decided to revert back to semi-synthetic to see if it improves its longevity. I have used CASTROL previously with no issues, so maybe it maybe what the 16 year old petrol motor prefers.
This stuff is oil. Oil is important. Without it your engine wont run for very long at all. I bought some of this and put it in my engine because I want my engine to keep running. I recommend that anyone with a car keeps oil in its engine if they want it to run. This is good oil and I'm glad its in my engine because with it in my engine my engine will keep running. :-)
I have used many brands but I do notice the difference when I change..If I use other oils such as shell, mobile or penrite I feel the roughness especially on cold starts. I drive a 2000 Honda Crv and immediately feel the difference with magnatec. Will be using just this one from now on only. Worth the piece of mind.
I use this as it seems to be a good oil. If it does what they say it does, then even better. It’s really good of SCA to put this on special, as it becomes very good value for a semi synthetic oil at the reduced price. Thank you SCA.
Magnatec, it sure is. I got some of the oil on my hands, and everything metallic within reach started to stick to my hands. I'd grab a spanner, and the new oil filter would whip straight over, I was like a junkyard magnetic crane.......OK, it's not like that, but better than the usual review droning on, hahahahaaa.
