Cardboard scratchers work very well for my multiple cats. All kitties use the same one which does need replacement from time to time. The rows of corrugation are narrow enough to make this product longer lasting than many others. Also by training and encouraging my cats to use this, the furniture and carpeting are left alone. I don't know what is so attractive with the cardboard but it works for me even without the provided catnip. Don't forget toflip the insert over for double use.

Cat doesn't understand most scratchers but soon learned how to use this one. Clawed it to pieces, so I flipped it over in the box. Catnip is good but she's knocked it over and wheezed on the catnip so go light.

Cats scratch the cardboard into pieces, which can make a mess on the floor, and when it gets too clawed up (on both sides - flip it over!), you have to buy another one, but this brand works as well as any other, more expensive version, and even comes with more than enough cat nip to keep the kitties interested. I rub my nails on a fresh board and the kitties come running to try it out. Bought a few extras for my sister's cat, too.

This narrow scratching board is just the thing for use in our small RV. In between trips it lives in the house - and our cat uses it wherever she finds it. Bonus, our friends' 10 month old thinks it's a fabulous toy!
This scratcher is the perfect size to tuck besides various furniture items without taking up too much space. We have lots of different scratchers around the house but this narrow one is one of the cats' favorites. They don't even need the catnip to be sprinkled on before they start scratching as soon as it's put down. Being able to stock up with the 12-pack means I don't have to worry about running out because sometimes these small narrow ones are hard to find both in retail stores as well as online.
One of my cats likes this size scratching board so much he often falls asleep on top of it after giving it a good scratching work out. lol
I usually get at least 6 weeks to 2 months out of similar brands but this one is ready for the trash after just 3 weeks. It serbved its purpose until I could get the better one from Big Lots but would only buy it again in a similar situation.
Mochi didnt know what it was and was reluctant to use it. Would only sit next to it for the first 4 days, then suddenly he was using it as a bed and stretch scratching it. Loves it now.
my new cat Buddy 2 is a vertical scratcher. I ordered 12 scratchers at less cost than 6 from any other store. they arrived in just a few days. I am putting them on the legs of my porch furniture where he likes to scratch. I probably will make a vertical post and attach several to have in the house.he likes them without the catnip.was a very good buy.
Nitro isn't interested in scratching this at all. She did however love rolling in the catnip which goes straight through to the floor making a big mess.
