As I am getting older (55 yo) my skin is much drier. My old expensive toner which has salicylic acid in it, did exfoliate and minimize my pores. It dried my face out so bad I knew that it was time to change to something much less drying.I was looking for a toner that help restore my skin barrier, with hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. I found all these and much more with this toner! CeraVe added 3 essential ceramides and it’s alcohol free; which means this won’t dry out my skin.I’ve been using this toner about 6 months. My skin barrier is restored and there’s no residue left on my face. I went from the $35 toner to this toner and I’m in love! I’m also now using the CeraVe Hydrating Face Wash.

From not even removing my makeup at night, I am approaching 40 now and realize I need to start taking better care of my skin. I have started removing my makeup (with wipes, baby steps). He wipes do a pretty good job of getting the obvious dirt and makeup off, but using this hydrating toner really finished the job. Toners I have used in the past have been abrasive and contained too much alcohol that they left my skin red, dry and irritated. This hydrating toner applied with a cotton ball, make up pad, or even fold it up tissue paper gets that deep down dirt off of your skin and leaves your face feeling fresh , hydrated and rejuvenated! If you are looking for a toner that will not dry your skin and will leave your face feeling hydrated, this is the one for you!

I am skeptical of fully depending on wipes when it comes to cleaning, but I decided to give it a try. But of course, I follow with micellar water, water-based foam cleanser and toner. It effectively cleanses my makeup, but I should note that I only use tinter sunscreen on a daily basis. It is also easy to use and my skin feels cleaner and there is less dirt left on the cleansing pad afterwards.Wipe thickness is perfect for single use and not very thin but not sturdy and durable. The size is quite big, but really enough for one face.It did not make my skin dry or irritated as I was afraid of.Love that it is biodegradable.I did not use mascara or eyeliner, so I can't say something about them. I do like this toner for its moisturizing properties. I have extremely sensitive skin and this toner does irritate it a little bit. If I'm having a flare up, this toner does sting, and the smell of it is slightly off-putting.However, when my skin is having a good day, I like to use this toner after washing my face. It helps keep my skin from flaking or having *too* prominent of dry patches throughout the day or after a long night of sleep.Makeup tends to cling to my dry patches, but since I started using this toner prior to moisturizing and applying makeup, the dry patches are less prominent and my makeup actually stays longer throughout the day.
As a beauty professional active in the industry for 20+ years, I found the CeraVe Hydrating Toner to be extremely gentle and hydrating for my super dry skin.I prefer ultra hydrating products when it comes to skincare. I go out of my way to find the ones with the best hydrating ingredients such as, hydraulic acid, ceramides, and niacinamide just to name a few. If I can find eco friendly products that have amazing ingredients, that's a huge plus for my skin. I feel like CervaVe's hydrating toner is one of the best toners I've used. This toner was very hydrating. I have oily skin and my partner has dry. My face felt super hydrated after and had a complete glassy dewy skin look (cleanse>astringent toner>this toner>moisturizer), and my partner's skin was not as glassy, but the most dewy/glassy that I've ever seen it. Asian beauty fans with my skin type might really like the glassy look, but I toned it down a little bit on the moisturizer after and got a much more natural dewy look the next morning.Yes, there are products out there that will do much more than this, but for the price point it's pretty darn good. I use the dickinson's witch hazel hydrating toner as my astringent toner, and this cerave one is waaaaay more hydrating. You can expect more texture and thickness from this one compared to a watery toner, but that is only natural. Anyone who has experience in facial hydration knows the texture it leaves on your skin; it's not supposed to feel like just water.
I never leave reviews but I just had to because I want the people at CeraVe to NEVER STOP making this product. I bought this on a whim and I’m so glad I did because I love this toner, it’s so hydrating. Perfect for my dry skin. Doesn’t do too much or too little. It feels good on application, very gentle like water. I apply it to damp skin and my skin soaks it right up. I use this every single time after I wash my face. It’s quickly become a staple in my routine. And the ingredients are also great. I have nothing bad to say about this brand and this toner is no exception. Just excellent. Highly recommend if you have dry skin and need that extra hydration in your routine.
I started using Cerave products about 2 months ago, and they have been my go-to brand since. This product however, I will not be buying again in the future. When I did some research and found out what toners do, I thought it would be good to pick this up. While I do believe this product does exactly what it claims, the sticky feeling it left on my skin wasn't worth it. I use it in both my morning and night skincare routines. And each time I find myself having to wipe off the residue/stickiness after letting it sit for a few minutes while I brush my teeth. I do plan to finish out the bottle since I can't return it. Aside from this I do believe it contributing to my skin's hydration balance. If you're looking for a toner, you can stick with a micellar water as it does ... MoreI started using Cerave products about 2 months ago, and they have been my go-to brand since. i have sensitive combination skin and have used this toner for 3.5 days, morning and night. it was pleasant to put on - though i only used it for a short period of time, my skin felt plump after applying and it wasn't drying (though i don't think i noticed it was noticeably hydrating). i have previously only used exfoliating toners before so it was exciting to add this hydrating toner. however, on the night of the 3rd day using it, i passively noticed having some bumps/texture on my face, and the next day i noticed it was all over my face and neck (where i've applied this). unfortunately this definitely has given me contact dermatitis, which is surprising because i've tried/used a lot of different skincares, many that don't market itself for sensitive skin, so i ... Morei have sensitive combination skin and have used this toner for 3.5 days, morning and night. it was pleasant to put on - though i only used it for a short period of time, my skin felt plump after applying and it wasn't drying (though i don't think i noticed it was noticeably hydrating). i have previously only used exfoliating toners before so it was exciting to add this hydrating toner. however, on the night of the 3rd day using it, i passively noticed having some bumps/texture on my face, and the next day i noticed it was all over my face and neck (where i've applied this). unfortunately this definitely has given me contact dermatitis, which is surprising because i've tried/used a lot of different skincares, many that don't market itself for sensitive skin, so i will try to return this and try to figure out what ingredient(s) in this have caused me problems while other things i have tried hasn't. i guess this is just a good lesson to always patch test, even if a product claims to be safe for sensitive skin!
I have oily combo skin. I don't need a special toner-just anything that will hydrate my skin enough. This does the job. It's gentle, quick-absorbing, easily accessible (can be found in many drugstores), and cheap; a good basic, especially for beginners. However, since the toner is designed for dry skin, it does end up feeling heavy/sticky for me, especially since I live in a humid climate. I make sure to just layer it on once. For people with sensitive, dry skin, this toner will prob be your holy grail. But, for me, it's a good enough toner-not my fav tho. Hopefully, cerave will make a toner for people of my skin type.
