CeraVe Moisturising Cream Dry Skin 340 G

This IS my Holy Grail moisturizer! The Cerave Moisturizing Cream ‘in the jar with the pump’ is a product I began using at the recommendation of my best friend after I destroyed my face with too many Active ingredients in my skincare. She told me to get this product and start skin cycling. I only stuck to skin cycling for one (1) full week - long enough to reset my skin and restore my skin’s acid mantle. However, I started purchasing this product at Costco in bulk and continue to use it daily. This moisturizer works perfectly for my fickle skin and absorbs well into the body and face without being heavy. It moisturizes with ceramides and HA and locks in hydration. Amazing cream! I use this in place of a night cream or on days that my skin feels dry and needs an extra boost. It's highly moisturising and non irritating, which is perfect for sensitive skin. Love that there is no unnecessary added fragrance either. Can be used on both your body and face. It's one of those products that actually does what it says and works so much better than high end products. If you follow Dr Dray on Youtube then you will already know that she also recommends this cream a lot as well, especially for people using retinoids. I've been applying it alongside my Differin gel to combact dryness from it's use. After washing my face, I rub in a thin layer of this cream onto my damp skin (to lock in moisture) and follow with Differin after it's dry. ... MoreAmazing cream! Even if you are using it on it's own, the Cerave Cream will work brilliantly to soothe and soften your dry skin. It has great ingredients including ceramides which improve skin hydration. I have dehydrated combination skin and this has helped so much to repair my skin barrier along with following a good skincare routine. You really have to try it to believe it!

The first reason is that Cerave doesn't have the best ethical practices and has unnecessarily increased the price of this product, where it isn't within drugstore prices anymore for a product that is honestly quite drugstore. I believe that adding niacinamide would make this product better, for example. Finally, I don't like that this product contains dimethicone, a silicone. I also personally prefer using it on my body. ✨Full PM Routine✨ I use this product during my PM routine. Here is my PM routine: I will first lightly cleanse if needed, then immediately use a moisturizing essence such as the Cosrx "Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner" and Marine Hylauronics from The Ordinary. After these steps, I will apply "Buffet" + Copper Peptides, wait about 10-15 minutes, buffer with a small amount of the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence, then apply my retinoid, prescription tretinoin in 0.025%. After applying tretinoin, I will wait another 10-15 minutes, then apply my moisturizer. I will either use a mixture of the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion with The Ordinary's 100% Niacinamide Powder, or a mixture of the Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream with The Ordinary's 100% Niacinamide Powder. After that step, I will apply either an emollient or occlusive to lock everything in - and this depends on how I feel. Sometimes I will skip this step. For things I will apply at this step, I've been using the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask on and off for years, and I still do love the product. I will either apply this product, or Sierra's Bees Madre Madness Balm (I purchase this from iHerb.com). This PM routine has kept my skin in extremely good shape and it has worked for me.

This stuff is amazing I am so mad at myself for not trying this years ago when I saw the dermatologist recommended it but I recently tried to product it destroyed my skin and I was prescribed tretinoin so I decided to try to go to simple route and I knew I would end up with purging so I figure now would be the time to try it… thankfully I didn’t see much purging because my skin was already horrific and this stuff really saved my skin barrier it goes on nice and thick but my skin doesn’t look greasy afterwards and within three days my skin was a perfect balance of color no excess oil whatsoever it hasn’t looked this even in a very long time! Best basic moisturizer!

To preface, I'm a 19yo female with normal skin that leans more dry in the winter and oily in the summer. I am acne prone and have recently finished six months of an acne medication. I have used this before and during my treatment, and will continue to use it as long as it's made! When I'm doing my skincare, I typically alternate between using a salicylic acid toner, a retinol, a niacinamide serum, and a hyaluronic acid serum (depending on what my skin needs). If I'm using my toner, I apply the toner to clean, dry skin and then apply this moisturizer on top. If I'm using my retinol or either serum, I mix them into this moisturizer and apply it as one concoction onto damp skin. My skin can also breath through this moisturizer, which I've never found in a moisturizer that simultaneously checks my other boxes! Another great feat, it's drugstore pricing in simple/functional packaging. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a classic moisturizer!

Best body cream for the whole family!

Hands down BEST body moisturizing cream for the whole family to use. I used to get the more expensive brands from beauty stores, thinking that those would be better since they were more expensive. Definitely not the case for body cream. This is what’s worked for me the last several years, and even better, it works for my whole family. I’ve used this on my 7 year old since he was a toddler when he started getting dry, itchy skin. My dermatologist recommends this, and my sons doctor and his dermatologist both recommend this, as well. It’s a popular one for a reason…it actually moisturizes your dry skin! The longer you use it, the better your skin will be. And for specific issues, layering this with other CeraVe products can really help. Disappointing

Pros: I really love how creamy it is. I love the pump option. It is truly unscented whereas some products touted as such have a faint chemical or hospital scent. Two negative ironies: for me, it not only doesn't moisturize when sold as such, but it also even has that very word listed along with its name. Subjectively, it sits on top of my skin with absolutely no penetration and the entire amount goes down the sink or shower drain. If I apply say an amount equal to a TBSP or two, when I later wash, that same exact amount comes off the top of my skin almost like a blanket layer that's been sitting there. I'm glad soap adheres to it or my pipes would eventually hold a container of cream. A non-moisturizer - ironically, yes. I suffer from dry skin already and my hands are worse than the rest because I'm always doing something with them that involves getting dirty and needing to be washed. After reading so many reviews on different kinds of lotions and everyone insisting this was the best I decided to try it. I noticed it wasn't working great first day but I decided maybe its one of those you have to keep doing. But now I've had this for awhile, used it daily and am am almost out and it absolutely has made no difference in my skin. It almost seems like it's made it worse because I find myself having to reapply this throughout the day. I was using Jergens before this and it worked much better than this. Works for me...

Although far too heavy for my face (I tried once out of curiosity and lived to regret!) this is perfect for my biggest problem area - my lower legs. It's like all the sebaceous glands in my body were transferred to my face once I hit puberty, leaving behind dried-out skin on my body, whilst my face was a constant oil slick. Skin this parched and dry requires a good moisturizer, cue CeraVe... It's fragrance-free, contains beneficial ingredients (Hyaluronic Acid + 3 types of ceramides), it's inexpensive (just under $20 for a large 16oz tub) and you don't need to use much. Just a dab works brilliantly on my legs.
