This IS my Holy Grail moisturizer! The Cerave Moisturizing Cream ‘in the jar with the pump’ is a product I began using at the recommendation of my best friend after I destroyed my face with too many Active ingredients in my skincare. She told me to get this product and start skin cycling. I only stuck to skin cycling for one (1) full week - long enough to reset my skin and restore my skin’s acid mantle. However, I started purchasing this product at Costco in bulk and continue to use it daily. This Cerave product is available for purchase at Target for $16. However, I buy the two (2) pack for $20 on sale at my local Costco. This is a repeat purchase I highly recommend!

The first reason is that Cerave doesn't have the best ethical practices and has unnecessarily increased the price of this product, where it isn't within drugstore prices anymore for a product that is honestly quite drugstore. It is also relying on hyaluronic acid as a marketing tactic, in which hyaluronic acid honestly isn't anything special and is overhyped. I believe that adding niacinamide would make this product better, for example. Finally, I don't like that this product contains dimethicone, a silicone. I also personally prefer using it on my body. ✨Full PM Routine✨ I use this product during my PM routine. Here is my PM routine: I will first lightly cleanse if needed, then immediately use a moisturizing essence such as the Cosrx "Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner" and Marine Hylauronics from The Ordinary. After these steps, I will apply "Buffet" + Copper Peptides, wait about 10-15 minutes, buffer with a small amount of the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence, then apply my retinoid, prescription tretinoin in 0.025%. After applying tretinoin, I will wait another 10-15 minutes, then apply my moisturizer. I will either use a mixture of the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion with The Ordinary's 100% Niacinamide Powder, or a mixture of the Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream with The Ordinary's 100% Niacinamide Powder. After that step, I will apply either an emollient or occlusive to lock everything in - and this depends on how I feel. Sometimes I will skip this step. For things I will apply at this step, I've been using the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask on and off for years, and I still do love the product. I will either apply this product, or Sierra's Bees Madre Madness Balm (I purchase this from iHerb.com). This PM routine has kept my skin in extremely good shape and it has worked for me.

This stuff is amazing I am so mad at myself for not trying this years ago when I saw the dermatologist recommended it but I recently tried to product it destroyed my skin and I was prescribed tretinoin so I decided to try to go to simple route and I knew I would end up with purging so I figure now would be the time to try it… thankfully I didn’t see much purging because my skin was already horrific and this stuff really saved my skin barrier it goes on nice and thick but my skin doesn’t look greasy afterwards and within three days my skin was a perfect balance of color no excess oil whatsoever it hasn’t looked this even in a very long time! This stuff is so moisturizing and literally heals. The key is to wash your hands immediately before application, dry your hands and then immediately apply this cream. If you apply the cream to your dry hands- this will just sit on top of your dry skin. By washing your hands first, you are allowing the water moisture penetrate your skin but application of the cream must be done right after drying your hands while your hands still have some moisture. For even better results, I like to apply this liberally before bed and wear rubber gloves and sleep with them on all night. I take them off in the morning and my hands are totally moisturized from keeping the moisture in the gloves all night. A few days of this and my hands were totally better. This still really works and the best part is that it doesn’t burn at all!

To preface, I'm a 19yo female with normal skin that leans more dry in the winter and oily in the summer. I am acne prone and have recently finished six months of an acne medication. I have used this before and during my treatment, and will continue to use it as long as it's made!When I'm doing my skincare, I typically alternate between using a salicylic acid toner, a retinol, a niacinamide serum, and a hyaluronic acid serum (depending on what my skin needs). Best body cream for the whole family!

Hands down BEST body moisturizing cream for the whole family to use. I used to get the more expensive brands from beauty stores, thinking that those would be better since they were more expensive. Definitely not the case for body cream. This is what’s worked for me the last several years, and even better, it works for my whole family. I’ve used this on my 7 year old since he was a toddler when he started getting dry, itchy skin. My dermatologist recommends this, and my sons doctor and his dermatologist both recommend this, as well. It’s a popular one for a reason…it actually moisturizes your dry skin! The longer you use it, the better your skin will be. And for specific issues, layering this with other CeraVe products can really help. Pros: I really love how creamy it is. I love the pump option.It is truly unscented whereas some products touted as such have a faint chemical or hospital scent.Two negative ironies: for me, it not only doesn't moisturize when sold as such, but it also even has that very word listed along with its name. Subjectively, it sits on top of my skin with absolutely no penetration and the entire amount goes down the sink or shower drain. If I apply say an amount equal to a TBSP or two, when I later wash, that same exact amount comes off the top of my skin almost like a blanket layer that's been sitting there. I'm glad soap adheres to it or my pipes would eventually hold a container of cream. A non-moisturizer - ironically, yes. I've been looking for a decent moisturizer that won't break the bank. I've heard amazing things about this product and though "might as well". For the record I'm use to high end like Bobby Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, etc and although all those moisturizers are great, they're SO pricy. I decided to give CeraVe a try and I'm not disappointed!As a little skin identification, My skin is clear. I'm not prone to blemishes and I'm very pale. I have a bit of texture and a bad uneven skin tone (I'm very red) I do have some issues with blackheads. Id say my skin is normal / dry. I tend to reach for this moisturizer for the night time. I see a lot of people complaining of it pill-ing! This does contain Hyaluronic acid and when layering products you need to be mindful of what goes with hyaluronic acid or else you will get pilling! Also let products absorb inbetween for at least 5 minutes to avoid that issue. I did use this a couple times underneath foundation (I let absorb for 5 mins) and made sure it was compatible with my foundation to avoid separation and pilling. Overall when I apply this it evens out my skin tone (not 100% but a good 75%) calms my skin and doesn't burn. It leaves my skin so soft! Not every skin product is going to work for everyone so definitely do your research and cater your skincare to what it is you're looking for. Hope this helped someone.

If my rosacea gets triggered, this cream helps reduce the redness and calms it down.For the price point it is worth it and it often goes on discounts or promotions, so I usually stock up then. I also like that its a simple tub packaging that you can easily recycle or re-use as you wish.I do wish that cerave did refill packs instead though just to cut down on plastic waste. Other than that, huge fan of this moisturiser and I can see why people rave about this.

It's like all the sebaceous glands in my body were transferred to my face once I hit puberty, leaving behind dried-out skin on my body, whilst my face was a constant oil slick. Skin this parched and dry requires a good moisturizer, cue CeraVe...It's fragrance-free, contains beneficial ingredients (Hyaluronic Acid + 3 types of ceramides), it's inexpensive (just under $20 for a large 16oz tub) and you don't need to use much.
