Face Wash by Cetaphil, Daily Facial Cleanser for Sensitive, Combination to Oily Skin, 20 oz, Gentle Foaming, Soap Free, Hypoallergenic

I really wanted to love this cleanser as I know it is highly acclaimed in the skin care community. I wanted to see if it could replace my holy grail gentle cleanser (which I purchase online) because this product would be more accessible in stores. However, this product broke me out badly… in cysts. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I know this cleanser caused the breakouts because I have been using the other products in my skincare for years consistently and have had no such reaction. What may work for someone may not work for you, and that’s completely okay. Experimenting new products comes with its risks, but it’s one I was willing to take. Now I know, this just isn’t for me. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have oily skin prone to black-heads and redness or eczema depending on the time of year. My friend recommended this to me and I was doubtful. I’m a $100 moisturizer girl. I was so so wrong. I started using this morning and night and within 3 days my complexion was better. Almost no annoying side-of-nose white heads, blackheads receding, redness gone. It really helps control the summer oiliness as well! By the end of two weeks I’d stopped using all my top-end products and was using only this. And I didn’t miss them at all! I am absolutely in love with this face wash. For starters I’ve used all price ranges face washes from store brand to Kiehls to Dior prestige. This is THE best I’ve used. Price range is about $14-$16. The scent is very light and not over powering. I use it once in the am and once before bed. It cleans my skin well leaving it soft and not stripped. I do follow with serum and moisturizer and start with a makeup removing Micellar. My reason for loving it though is I’ve completely stopped breaking out. Like not one pimple for months after I switched over religiously to this cleanser. It has completely changed my skins consistency for the better. Please-if looking for a great face wash-try this!

The first thing I noticed was that the label said “New Improved”, indicating it’s a new formula, and geared to Combination to Oily, Sensitive Skin! It lists glycerin and vitamins B5 B3 as key ingredients and claims to deep clean and minimize the appearance of pores without stripping skin of natural moisture. Pros: Lightweight, gentle, lathers, I have super large pores prior to using this cleanser and I don’t know what sorcery is this, but I washed my face before bed and when I woke up my pores were non-existent. Like whoa! 😳 I didn’t see that one coming. I was literally blown away! This product is legit and I’m sold! Cons: It is strongly scented. Long after I had washed my face and went to bed I was still smelling the fragrance. It didn’t cause a negative reaction, but products for sensitive skin usually don’t have fragrance, so I was a bit surprised. It also best used as a cleanser after your makeup remover. It performed much better after having removed my makeup, but I don’t suggest using it as a makeup removing cleanser.

Around the start of the pandemic I started getting tiny bumps on my forehead which I found super weird since I never suffered from anything on my face, and because of that I never really had a “skincare.” I would wash my face with regular soap and put on whatever moisturizer I had. I like to depend on things in my life that work, and I made a big mistake by assuming that such an iconic name that was the most important part of my skincare since adolescence would never change. Dermatologist after dermatologist recommended this face wash year after year after year - and I was glad they did. It worked great for me and I counted on it to give me the exact kind of non-irritating clean that I needed.Fast forward nearly 20 years when I suddenly notice that the bottle I just purchased was a "new and improved" formula. I used this face wash back in 2019 with the old formula, did not like it; too drying. I have combo sensitive skin on my face. I used the new formula face wash by accident when I was visiting my grandmothers. WOW. I was starting to get acne consistently and then I use this product once and my acne was reduced tremendously, now I've been using this product for 2months and my skin hasn't felt and looked this great in a while. who knew a simple cleanser was the answer to my bad breakouts!
