Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturiser 118 ml

Up until this year I never really took great care of my skin. I know it's horrible, but I'm really making an effort to undo all the damage that I've done over the years. I've been having a great time trying out all kinds of masks, scrubs, moisturizers, etc., on what I'm referring to as my "skincare journey". It sounds kind of cheesy, I know, but it suits my personality. That being said, I've been trying to make an effort to wear sunscreen, something that I've never really done before. I had a sample of Cetaphil's Daily Facial Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 35 for Combination Skin and decided to try it out because the other Cetaphil products that I've tried I have absolutely loved. This one however fell a little bit short of the others. It was supposed to be a lightweight moisturizer, but it seemed very thick to me. It smelled like sunscreen as well, and I'm not sure if the fragrance bothered my skin, but it was left with a burning sensation in a few spots. It did absorb quickly into my skin, but it left it very oily and shiny. It's supposed to be made for combination skin like mine and leave a "matte" finish. It did do a good job of hydrating my skin, but it left it kind of greasy feeling. I was not a very big fan of this moisturizer. What it is, is a nourishing lightweight moisturizer that protects against UVA and UVB rays while providing immediate oil-free hydration that lasts for 24 hours, leaving skin with a matte, satin finish. Nourishes the skin with edelweiss flower and Vitamins E, B³, and B⁵. Provides instant and long-lasting 24 hour hydration. Broad Spectrum 35 protects against damaging UVA and UVB sun rays, whole a unique blend of antioxidants protects against surface free radical damage. I don't really think I would recommend this product nor will I be using it again any time soon.

I have very dry and sensitive skin and this moisturizer works VERY well for me! For my face, I do one application after a shower or face-wash which works ... For my face, I do one application after a shower or face-wash which works very well; for my neck, I usually need two applications or sometimes I just do one and then apply the Aveeno eczema dry skin lotion after - the second option for my neck tends to work better for keeping it hydrated there. I love that this moisturizer also includes SPF, but I tend to still put an actual sunscreen product on my face just to be safe. Plus, this product is super affordable and lasts me at least a couple months!

Hey beauties! This Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 50 is a total miss for me. The consistency was very thick and had an oily texture. After a week of using the sunscreen, I did start breaking out because of the grease buildup on my face (I am dry-sensitive-combination skin type, but lean more to the dry side) which was uncalled for as the usual sunscreens I use do not cause me to breakout. When I put it on my face it takes a while to absorb, and it also leaves a white cast that I'm not a fan of. There's also that old school sunscreen scent that isn't very attractive. For a drugstore sunscreen product, I do think that the price range for about $20.00 CAD for a sunscreen is quite expensive as you can pick up cheaper drugstore sunscreen products at a much better ... MoreHey beauties! At the beginning I was so nervous to try it out, and I did finally and I didn’t like it because first time I tried and my skin irritated. And then I was so busy to go and get another one so I use this again so finally after few days I was so comfortable with this cream. Now it is one of my favourite product. I finished one bottle and got my second one, the price is very reasonable, and it helps my skin a lot, I have dry and sensitive skin every time I use cream I use to got so much irritation now with cetaphil I am so comfortable it doesn’t irritate and my skin feel so soft and look nice, and skin doesn’t look oily and it is not greasy at all. I’ve also luckily found my staples so I usually don’t have any interest in venturing out. It was quite the journey to get there. However, I was missing a good facial moisturizer that really packed in the SPF. My skin is dry and sensitive in nature, so I need as much moisture as possible. Due to my skin being sensitive, the first wear of this product slightly burned and produced redness. This quickly went away and hasn’t happened since. I use three pumps daily, as my dry skin needs all the moisture it can get. However, I can see standard usage being two pumps per day. The three pumps of product really glide over my skin and settle in quickly. Make sure to really get this product in your skin as it will leave a white residue, if you don’t. Even with doing that, my skin is a tad paler than my normal complexion. I don’t mind as I use this as a preventive moisturizer, quickly following up with makeup after application. This product also works really well as a primer. Since using this product, my face has been moisturized quite well in this dry, winter weather. No peeling. With the SPF being so high, this will be a recurring purchase for me.

I chose Cetaphil based on price, and as a brand that does not have a French fashion name and over-the-top packaging. I have been applying Cetaphil daily for several weeks. It is easy to apply. My wife and my dearest friends tell me that I look ... wait for it ... YOUNGER. What's not to like about that! Drawback ... I am careful as I apply it, yet it somehow sneaks a taste to my mouth that I do find a little unpleasant. I have now and then got the product in my eyes. It can make my eyes may water and sting. Caused MAJOR allergic reaction

I tried using this product in the summer and when I was on vacation recently. In the summer I noticed slight break outs from this product but nothing major. I put it away not thinking about it until my recent vacation. I used it in the morning and then reapplied with my normal sunblock (that I've used for years without issue). I instantly began to breakout in hives. I thought it was something I have touched that caused it but I tried the next day with the routine and sadly made it worse. This product does NOT react well with other sunblock products. I use cetaphil for other parts of my daily skin routine and I'm really disappointed by this. More Like Face Suncreen

I have used a different Cetaphil facial moisturizer for years. I decided to try this one since it had a higher SPF. The texture, feel and color of this moisturizer feels more like an actual suncreen. It has a yellow tint and its very thick. You feel like you just put a ton of thick sunscreen on your face. Even if you only put a small amount. I will have to save this one for pool/beach use only. Going to order the other Cetaphil facial Moisturizer with less SPF for my daily facial moisturizer.

Overall it's a good moisturizer

I've repurchased this twice, but don't see myself buying it again. I really liked it in the beginning, but I recently bought another SPF moisturizer that is much more lightweight, and I can just feel how heavy and thick the Cetaphil moisturizer is in comparison. I mean, it's not such a bad thing if you prefer a thicker moisturizer, but when I'm applying it, I can just feel how thick it is and I really have to rub it in. Once it's on, my skin does feel moisturized and protected all day. But since it's too thick for my personal preference, I'll be passing on it now. Also, I did not like how a good portion of the moisturizer gets stuck at the bottom and won't pump out anymore. I am now in my late 20's and after the birth of my second child I care about having a facial moisturizer with higher spf after developing melasma while pregnant. First off, the product felt greasy and heavy on my skin. It did not absorb well and left my face super oily while also feeling dry at the same time. It stung and left an awful white cast. Secondly, the product says on the tube that this is to prevent sunburn only and does not prevent skin cancer or aging from the sun. That means it is not broad spectrum and is UVB only. I was trying to prevent further melasma and did not read the product description close enough before buying. Third, the tubing has a typo that I thought was funny and am surprised got past their editing department.
