I bought this specifically for the term “mattifying”. I have oily skin on my forehead and I wanted a moisturizer that would seal that oil away during the day. Well, this is not that mattifying moisturizer I was looking for. After 4 hours of just sitting in my apartment, my forehead is oily as heck. So this didn’t achieve the one purpose I needed it for. On the other hand, Covergirl’s Mattifying Oil-Free Moisturizer actually keeps your face matte for a majority of the day. I would suggest that one if this Cetaphil moisturizer didn’t work for you.

Purchased this thinking it would help with my acne, since that's what it claims to do. Although it seemed to improve my skin texture, it broke me out. Turns out there are 4 pore cloggers in the ingredients. How does a product marketed towards people who suffer from acne contain ingredients that cause it? Unfortunately there are no laws/regulations overseeing this so companies can claim their product will do anything. Removed this from my routine and my skin has cleared up. Be mindful of ingredients, even if the product claims to be gentle/acne safe. (Yes, even some CereVe products contain pore cloggers).

I have permanent red dry patches on my cheeks already, but contact with products, depending on the product, produces horrible reactions. I was excited to see this as a oily skin type, but unfortunately, I never got any of the mattifying benefits. I would put it on and it was hydrating but that hydration would make me greasier especially as the day went on. It doesn't sit well under makeup and would make my makeup a mess by the end of the day. I really wanted to love this because there aren't very many good mattifying products on the market. I also noticed some irritation on my skin as well, once I switched back to a higher end gel moisturizer, my skin was less red, irritated, and greasy. I wouldn't recommend.
My skin is usually very dry for about an hour after washing it, and then gets super oily for the rest of the time.this product does a good mattifying job, keeps my face from getting oily since the first use, I'm very pleased with that, feels like some sort of a miracle!I didn't like the scent at first but I've grown to tolerate it. it's not a strong scent either way.The size is good, a little goes a long way and I feel like it's gonna last for some time.the texture is milky but not runny.when it comes to moisturising, I feel like it could do better, but maybe I'm not using enough product.all in all, a quality product and I'd recommend it.
