This hydrated my dry skin perfectly but without looking or feeling heavy or greasy and would deff be good for extra dry skin too to get nicely hydrated skin without a heavy feel. It also has hyaluronic acid in it which explains the nice hydration. This did not irritate my sensitive skin at all or cause any breakouts either. It has a very subtle scent but smells really good actually. It reminds me of a baby product in a way but I think it may just be the scent of one of the hydrators in this cream but does not irritate at all, It doesn't smell like an added artificial fragrances it smells more natural. This cream goes on so nice and smooth and absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated. It also gives me a little glow when I wake up in the morning which wasn't there before. A little goes a long way with this too, my sample is fairly small and I still have some and been using it about 1 week. I also like to add some to my under eyes for Xtra hydration after my other night cream when dont use this on my whole face which is what I did when started trying this cream. It doesn't roll or pill on my skin, it just glides on smoothly and absorbs and hydrates. I forget the price but from what I remember its not exspensive and u get a decent amount so deff worth it. This i deff one inwould reccomend to anyone with dry or extra dry sensitive skin!

Decent product for the money.
21 January 2023

I bought this on a whim when I had a coupon. I'd been using Olay's Ultra Rich, but thought it was too heavy and felt like my face was sticking to my pillow at night. I decided to try this instead and it's definitely working better for me, while still leaving my skin soft and hydrated without feeling heavy or sticky. As others said, the container may seem deceiving, but it contains the same amount my Olay does with similar packaging. I don't think this moisturizer is life changing by any means, but it's serving its purpose by hydrating and not feeling heavy. I haven't noticed any rashes or breakouts to my skin. I'm happy with the product.

I enjoy it but it isn't anything special
16 December 2022

I bought this because my skin has been so incredibly dry since I had my baby! I usually use the regular Cetaphil lotion with the green cap. I feel that this product is very similar to that. I feel like maybe it hydrates a little more. My first impression was that it felt small for the price. Such a big container for such little product. It goes on nicely though. I use it when my skin is still wet like after cleansing or after a shower. Soaks right in! I am not sure I would repurchase this product since it is so similar to the one I already had.

Intentional packaging deception
6 September 2022

I can’t comment on the product’s quality or performance because the clear intentionality of the deceptive packaging ticked me off enough to return it. Yes, the actual ounces are listed on the front, but since products vary in density, it’s hard to tell what that actually means in terms of how many uses you’ll get from one. First, the jar is packaged in an oversized box with lifts in the bottom. There’s no need for a box to begin with, but to oversize it to this extend makes no sense. Indeed, I opened the box in the store to make sure that I wasn’t being duped. Turns out I was, but the jar itself still seemed sizable enough. But then when I got it home and unscrewed the top of the jar, I realized that the jar itself was mostly plastic and that the product was ... MoreI can’t comment on the product’s quality or performance because the clear intentionality of the deceptive packaging ticked me off enough to return it. But then when I got it home and unscrewed the top of the jar, I realized that the jar itself was mostly plastic and that the product was contained in a much smaller chamber in the center. There is absolutely no reason for this as far as I can tell except to fool the consumer into thinking they’re getting more for their money. The trade off is a larger environmental footprint with all of this wasted packaging.

It's definitely found its place in my rotation.

I received this as a sample in a beauty box. When I first used this it burned and stung. I'm usually not too bothered by fragrance but I do agree the fragrance is very strong and smells like laundry detergent, a nice clean scent just not something I prefer on my face. But I wasn't sure if it was the fragrance/another ingredient(s) or my damaged moisture barrier causing the stinging since a lot of moisturizers can do that when mine is. So I put it aside while focusing on repairing my moisture barrier for a couple weeks and once it was healthier I gave it another shot.I don't typically use it all over my face (I have other products I prefer for that) only on the spots that tend to get dry and flaky; around my nostrils, the bridge of my nose between my eyes, between ... MoreI received this as a sample in a beauty box. So I put it aside while focusing on repairing my moisture barrier for a couple weeks and once it was healthier I gave it another shot.I don't typically use it all over my face (I have other products I prefer for that) only on the spots that tend to get dry and flaky; around my nostrils, the bridge of my nose between my eyes, between my eyebrows, and some small dry patches on my cheeks and forehead. It really does completely eliminate them, something I've struggled with finding the right product for me that does so. I also have zero burning/stinging now.So if you have that problem, it could be that your moisture barrier is damaged and needs some healing. But everyone's skin is different, this is just what happened in my case, it can definitely be caused by something else like the ingredients or having sensitive skin. If you don't get the stinging/burning I'd bet this would be great for actually repairing a damaged barrier.I'm a skincare junkie and have a lot of products I rotate through, mostly deciding what to use based on what my skin needs are at that time, and this is one I will definitely be adding to my rotation for normal dry patches not related to other issues like a damaged barrier or seborrheic dermatitis. I just wish they had a no-fragrance option, it's not enough of an issue for me to not buy it, but if they came out with one I will be switching to that.About the product itself, it's creamy and soft without feeling too heavy. My skin looks instantly moisturized after applying and only gets better the more I use it. It doesn't look or feel greasy unless you apply a ton, and absorbs quickly leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. I'm almost 30 and have some age showing in my hands, so when I go through my skincare routine before bed I rub each product onto the back of them and find when I use this one I wake up with them feeling very smooth and moisturized. Overall I really like this product and am so glad I got it in my beauty box.

Mediocre and a rash
1 January 2023

I bought this moisturizer about 3-4 weeks ago; used it as my daily moisturizer every morning. It was good at first, keeping moisture during the very very cold and windy days that would usually make my skin flake and dry. Recently I noticed a large rash on the center of my neck that was red, flaky and burned. I believe this product gave me a slight chemical burn. I went back to my old moisturizer a few days ago and the rash on my neck has progressively disappeared. Will be returning the product.

A fair number of products cause me to break out and get irritation bumps, this one didn’t so I’ll give it that. I wasn’t impressed, however, with how little product is in the jar. It feels deceptive. The consistency of the moisturizer is nice, but it just doesn’t really feel hydrating to me. I expected it to be richer for how it’s marketed. Nice cream for sensitive skin, rich feel, wasteful packaging
9 January 2022

This is a very nice face cream. It feels rich to the touch. It is truly fragrance free. I have very sensitive skin and this is not irritating at all. I am 60 with very dry skin and I use it over retinol and Vitamin C serums. This is moisturizing and leaves my skin soft, but I do not get a dewy result, which I prefer, so I may keep searching. Overall, I think it is very good value for a quality face cream with better results than many luxury brands, particular for sensitive skin. My only complaint is the packaging. I understand that many Cetaphil customers are used to getting a large tub of moisturizer for a similar price, and this is only 1.7 ounces, but I don't think that excuses the company for putting the product in a container that uses twice as much plastic and ... MoreThis is a very nice face cream. People will either pay more for a face cream or not. This might even anger people as deceptive. Please change the packaging--it makes me not want to recommend the product.
