Cetaphil Healthy Radiance Antioxidant-C Serum, 1 oz

So I bought this in addition to another C serum I had been using hoping for more noticeable results. I love oil-free non- clogging serums! I wear glasses and sun glasses and I have noticed those leaky left behind marks on my nose from the area where my glasses rest. The first time I used this, it lightened up, I was impressed. My skin looks brightened but I don't think it lightened up any other spots. Not sticky, I use small amountsso my face doesn't get sticky and then apply little by little unveil I cover the rest of the area. I don't know if I'll replace once I'm out. This is also a little pricey. I bought mine from Walmart. I let this dry a minute like it says and then apply my moisturizer as I learned from Dr. Lee, serums before moisturizer.

Things I didn’t like- The fragrance. Way too strong unnecessary. Not for sensitive skin. The pilling. Pills under makeup. The consistency. It looks serum like but has a thick gummy consistency. Sometimes when I apply it after cleansing and washing my face, it starts foaming (not sure if because of interaction with moisture or because of rubbing action?) I also think it either makes my pote clogging worse OR doesn’t help it at all. Overall, the scent is the worst part about it for me :/

Effective and Fair Priced

Has a smell that I wasn’t familiar with, but eventually got use to this. I have very sensitive and dry skin. I also breakout very easily, so I was very nervous to try this product. After about a month of using this product, I’ve seen visible results and have not broken out because of this serum. I use this once a day in the morning before I apply my moisturizer. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend trying this product out!

Great for acne prone skin

I’ve purchased this product 3 times and have been happy with it. I’m 39 with some fine lines. I wouldn’t call my skin oily exactly, but I do often have trouble with new face products making me breakout. I chose this product as it was supposed to be good for acne prone skin, and even help keep pimples away. On this front it has been great. No breakouts. It also has several face brightening ingredients I was looking for in a daily serum, at a modest price point. It has a nice consistency. It does not leave my skin sticky at all; it does not “pill” with my other face products as others have mentioned. I usually use this and then Olay Daily Moisturizer Sensitive (this also does not cause breakouts). I often use a little tinted BB cream as well. It's okay

I have not used this long enough to notice a huge difference. I wear it during the day under my moisturizer but I have noticed when I wake up my skin has been looking better. It has a smell, but not very strong. It just smells like the emergenC powder you drink, but not as strong and it goes away after about 20-30 minutes. For the price point I feel like you could find a better vitamin c serum but different things work for different people so don't be discouraged from buying it because people say it smells bad. It also is somewhat tacky but once your moisturizer goes over top is not tacky whatsoever anymore.

Pass

I love the moisturizer from this line but this serum didn’t work for me. It brightened a little bit the first day and now I have the worst breakout I’ve had in probably 15 years. Cetaphil products are typically good for my sensitive skin but this one was very disappointing. Normally I can get past the smells other people obsess over in these reviews but this one legitimately does stink.

lThis serum is meant to protect the skin so that dark spots and hyperpigmentation do not develop. What's interesting about this is that this formula is vitamin C sensitive skin-friendly and it defends against free radicals. It also diminishes the appearance of sun related dark spots without the irritation. My thoughts: This actually gave me essence like vibes. It was very lightweight and it absorbed very quickly. Waiting one minute after applying and before moving on to the next step in the routine is recommended. I used this mainly at night and followed up with the renewing cream.
