I have dry to normal skin, more leaning towards dry in the cooler months on my face and body so this was the perfect range to try for my skin needs. As far as serums go, this is one of the lightest and non greasy I have ever used. I found this didn't clog my pores yet soaked into the skin to achieve a deep hydration.I have super dry and sensitive skin that also finds that super rich or thick oils or serums a bit too much.It has a lovely light and creamy texture that glides onto the skin nice and smoothly, and you really do only need a small amount. This serum has a pleasant fragrance without being too heavy or over welming.I noticed a difference in my skin almost immediately. My skin felt hydrated all day without feeling damp or sticky. There is a lid that clicks on tight to prevent spillage so this serum would be perfect for travelling and at 30ml - it's also the perfect size for that too.PRODUCT:The serum itself is white and more cream-like than some of the slick serums I've used before. It spreads easily and absorbs fast without feeling greasy at all. It really has no scent that I can discern. It has a cooling effect on the skin and you know it's gentle because your skin doesn't get that prickly sensation that some creams will give you - usually a precursor to a reaction and/or rash.PERFORMANCE:Having used this serum for weeks now I can verify that it is very good at hydrating dry, sensitive skin. Right after application, my skin feels lovely and soft so much so that I probably could have got away with not using a moisturizer but the Cetaphil "Healthy Glow Day Cream" just took my skin to another level of hydration. The fact that it was dermatologist tested for sensitive skin gave me peace of mind and I did find it gentle and non-irritating. The moisturising effect does last a long time too.All in all, I found the Cetaphil serum to be excellent value and quality - great for hydrating sensitive skin without the worry of skin irritation. I have combination skin (dry through the cheeks, oily through the t-zone with blackheads in this area) that is very sensitive (rosacea prone) and I require hydrating products that leave my skin feeling moisturised but comfortable. A oil slick is the worst thing for my rosacea. This serum dispenses as a gel-cream consistency, is speedily absorbed and leaves a soft, velvet finish. It is sublime for laying beneath moisturiser, primer and make up, and does not gather or ball when other products are applied on top. I used it both day and night and the simplicity of application would easily fit into your already skincare routine or why not use the whole new skincare range. As most of Cetaphil's range, there is no strong scent, is gentle to sensitive skin which i definitely have and provided all day hydration. Packed also with hyaluronic acid which is something that everyone is using, and plenty of vitamins. The packaging is quite simple yet stylish and i feel you get a lot of product for your money. Hydration, Protection and Simplicity - you have it all here in a wonderful serum !!
I love this new rebranding and expansion of the cult classic that is Cetaphil. The packaging is sleek and modern but still obviously a Cetaphil product and goes well with the existing line. I like this product is a pump ( even if it took me about 10 pumps to get product out first go) and I'm pretty sure it's an airless pump meaning that all the product actually comes out of the bottle. The serum itself is a white creamy lotion type product and doesn't look like a traditional serum. It has that Cetaphil fresh smell that is undectable once applied. I used 2 pumps of serum for my face application each time. The product itself glides easily on the skin and feels nice and light and absorbs quickly into the skin. I used this serum at night with the Cetaphil Optimal Healthy Glow cream, and it applied smoothly and absorbed well into my skin.I like how it contains HA, it’s good for sensitivity being unscented and I can use it on my face, even around my eye area without irritation. The serum is moisturising and replenishing enough to be used on its own as a replacement to the Optimal Healthy Glow cream also.The con is the price for the amount of product you get.
