Cetaphil’s rough and bumpy daily moisturizer is number one dermatologist recommended. Coming in at an average of $18.99, a bit on the pricey side. The lotion I thought was smooth gentle and it also was fragrance free. It’s so great for people who have sensitivities and allergies to fragrances. I personally would like a fragrance, Intend to buy lotions for that reason. I definitely have very dry skin especially on my hands. I do work a lot with my hands, I either am wearing gloves majority of the time or constantly having to wash or sanitize my hands throughout the day in my profession. I'm seriously impressed by this lotion! I always apply it to my arms after showering and over the last few months I've definitely seen a reduction in my KP bumps. It's a bit more expensive than other brands, but I really do think that this is worth the price. The urea in the product is at a concentration that's been shown to be keratolytic, meaning that it helps to dissolve the keratin "plugs" that my skin was full of. This is great for me because it means that it doesn't have the unpleasant odor that products relying on lactic acid or AHAs often have.

I love this moisturizer so much. I have awful dermatitis on my hands and nothing works well, even prescription stuff. This rough and bumpy cream, however, has soften the scaly part of my finger where the eczema is the worst, and has dramatically softened it. I use it any time my hands get wet because water causes the most irritation, and the itchiness goes away quickly. I will be switching to this for good. I’m hoping with long term use the skin on my fingers and my cuticles will improve to the point where my nails don’t split and peel anymore.

I got to try this lotion as a free gift from @Influenster @cetaphilUS was interested to see if it really reduces redness on my arms (I do sometimes suffer from a little discoloration too) since it’s dermatologist tested said to be clinically proven. I also loveeee that it’s hypoallergenic fragrance free. So far I’ve really enjoyed it have benefited from smoother skin, it’s very moisturizing. Since it’s been hot I tend to notice redness more in the summertime (I live in Southern California) I’ve seen a difference in the redness in my arms for sure, especially after being outside. I wanted to use this product for a little while to see if it truly helped. I have some of those small bumps (I think they call them pox) on the back of my arm and I’ve tried a couple different products for them- not many are on the market for this- so I was excited to see a Cetaphil product for it. I actually think if you use this lotion everyday in the area with the bumps it really smooths it nicely! The lotion is thick enough without being too thick. It doesn’t leave a waxy or coated feeling to the skin. It sinks right in. There isn’t a scent which is nice for bumpy areas. All in all I think this works great and when I run out I will repurchase!

Exfoliation and moisture without AHA’s

Amazing body lotion. My skin is so soft and it’s getting back a healthy glow. It’s not too thick and not too thin like a mid weight cream. It spreads easy and absorbs quickly without a sticky residue. The best part is it exfoliates without AHA’s so it doesn’t leave skin sensitive and vulnerable to sunlight. The best way to use any cream with urea is to apply it to slightly damp skin right out of the shower when your pores are already open. You’ll avoid stickiness and residue while maximizing the exfoliating and moisture properties urea has to offer. I recommend this to everyone who’s looking to achieve healthy glowing skin!

Not bad at all! I’d read that Urea at a higher percentage can really help with ingrown hair, so that’s what I got this for. My legs tend to get ingrown hair as well as irritation after hair removal very easily. I found this helped reduce my ingrown hair by about 80%, which isn’t everything but it’s still a big improvement! Sadly, it didn’t really do much to help soothe irritation, my legs still itched the way it always does. Also removed one star for the awful heavy texture. It never feels like it fully sinks in, even by the next morning. Still, it’s the most easily accessible moisturiser with urea at 20% or above, so I’ll most likely continue to keep using it. Highly recommend if you struggle with ingrown hair!

Helps smooth out bumps and ingrown hairs

I had patches of bumpy skin and ingrown hair on my arms and legs, so I bought this after seeing Dr. Dray recommend it. I’ve been using it daily for a month and have seen significant improvement in the appearance of my skin. Not only does this formula offer gentle exfoliation without irritation, it also does a great job of keeping my skin moisturized. It comes out in a creamy consistency and isn’t so thick that it becomes difficult to apply. The only thing is that some part of the cream becomes solidified (?) so sometimes there are solid chunks of it mixed in when you pump it out. Also, if you rub your skin after applying this, it may pill (tiny white particles), so it’s best to apply it at night.

Not Quite Sure If This Is Right For Me

I agree with other reviewers that this lotion has an unpleasant, tacky texture. Additionally, after a few hours the lotion starts pilling which is awkward and weird and sort of makes me feel like i need to take a shower right away to wash all the tiny globs of lotion off. However, on the bright side it has no unpleasant odor and does seem to be doing a decent job of helping exfoliate the stubborn Keratosis Pilaris off my skin. If i can get past the issue of the gross way it feels I may continue to use this lotion. I probably will try other products to see if I can find one with a better texture though.
