Chanel No 5 The Bath Soap - 150g

Who would have thought I would ever buy a bar of soap for almost $35? Well, no one. Not even me. But it was my birthday and I was browsing in Myer. I had always wanted to love Chanel No 5 fragrance but I suppose I was too young to appreciate it. I bought a Coco Mademoiselle soap for my mum last Christmas and it was a hit! So I thought I could maybe introduct the classic in the form of soap. And I got it, and I do not regret it. Chanel No 5 is an icon for a reason. It is indeed a beautiful scent, so pure and powerful, yet subtle and elegant. The first few days my bathroom smelled amazing. I think I got used to the smell now, but believe me, that little bar of soap has got some power. It screams luxury and sophistication. I think I got used to the smell now, but believe me, that little bar of soap has got some power. It screams luxury and sophistication. I have been using it for the last two months almost every day and love the experience. I came to love the scent so much I decided to buy a little bottle of Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere. The soap has an oval shape, it feels a bit chunky at first and pretty heavy. It lathers well and kisses my skin with its tickly bubbles and leaves my skin clean and scented for a long time. As a simple fragranced soap it might dry out our skin a little, but if we use it every so often or every second day it should be fine. I would not treat it as an every day soap, it is Chanel after all. Highly recommend. Will make a beautiful present too.

To me, there is nothing more luxurious, or Monroe-esque, than slipping into a hot bath and lathering up with this scented soap. The scent is exactly the right amount of subtle, to wrap me in the warm, sensual tones of Chanel No 5, yet not produce the painful effects of the EDT. When I slip between the sheets after such an indulgent affair, I feel like a 50s screen siren, delicately scented and clean as a whistle.\n\nI know this is probably the most expensive bar of soap I have ever bought, but I don't use it in the shower every day. I keep it for special bathing occasions, and allow it to dry out and scent the air of the powder room between uses. I expect it will last well this way, and be able to be used until the last sliver.\n\nIt probably sounds crazy, to be fawning over a bar of soap, but I really, really wanted to be able to have the Chanel No 5 experience. This soap puts me straight into the scene I imagined for so long in my mind. It's silky smooth, lathers beautifully and smells divine without being overpowering. I truly do think it is not just a bar of soap, but a product I genuinely get enjoyment from using. \n

I love having the No. 5 soap because I can experience the fragrance differently than the original spray perfume that can often be too overwhelming, aldehydic and dated for my nose. The soap is definitely scented, and you can smell the No. 5 DNA, but it’s smooth, soft, luxurious and non-offensive, and has all the positive facets of the No. 5 fragrance. I think people who love No. 5 and those who may not have enjoyed it in the past can still enjoy the fragrance in this format.. Aromatic Luxury!

I wash my hands with this soap every day and feel like a queen! I tried it as a bath soap but it was not delicate enough for my dryness-prone skin so I made a conscious choice to still enjoy the luxury of the feel and aroma of this lovely product. I found it on sale (more than 50% off) and could not pass it up. The Chanel No5 fragrance is not overpowering but is strong enough to give me momentary pleasure when I bring my hands anywhere near my face for the next several hours after using it. My bathroom is more of an oasis than it has ever been, previously! (What a funny thing to say about a bathroom!) If I could successfully bathe with it, I'd have given it 5 stars... Chanel number Ahhhhhh.

Sometimes, in a world of chaos and dust and dirt and people and pets and work... one needs to run a hot bath, light a few candles and let Chanel Number 5 remind you what life is all about. Feeling relaxed and smelling pretty. Sure it's not cheap soap, but I'm worth every penny spent on this glorious scent.This is my new must have. It's much bigger than expected so I know this will last for ages. Xxxxxx

Complete Luxury!

The Chanel No5 soap is a bar of luxury. When you use in the shower the whole bathroon smells wonderful, not to mention your skin. I also keep one in my lingerie drawer. I bought a bar for my friends birthday too and they make a great Christmas present.

Iconic lux

Beautiful. No5 is my treat. Whether I’m covered in garden grime or freshening up for bed, it’s my lux. It never loses its iconic scent right down to the smallest amount. I love it. I feel very polished when I compliment it with No5 parfume.

Luxury in soap

This soap isn’t cheap, but the beauty of it is it’s a luxurious treat. The soap itself is creamy, and the scent stays throughout the use of the soap. Every time you use it you get that Chanel 5 scent.It’s also a beautiful gift for the girl who has everything. Not many people will buy it themselves. If you buy it for a gift I advise to get the gift wrapping as it looks fantastic.

Product Review

The soap is absolutely lovely. When I opened the package, the famous No 5 scent pleasantly filled the room.During my first use, the bar was luxurious and felt wonderfully soft, as well as smelling fabulous.Unfortunately, the famous scent disappeared after the third or fourth use.I still enjoy the bar but cannot count on any fragrance at all now.

Soap & room freshener in one!

I'd give this wonderful bar of soap ten stars if I could! Not only is it very hard-milled & lasts a long time, it does not cake up in the soap dish (I do keep it way out of water's way & I recommend this). It also doubles as a scent diffuser/room freshener!! It makes my entire home smell good! I can sometimes smell it all the way downstairs! It is also very moisturizing & not irritating & I have very sensitive skin that reacts to most fragrances. It has never dried out my skin nor caused irritation. The lilting scent of No. 5 is very hypnotic & lulls me into a sense of well-being during these oh so stressful times. The scent is not overpowering though in any way . . . . I adore this soap.
