The Chef Model CVE662SA is a fan forced electric oven with an separate grill. It was chosen to replace our old wall oven which gave up the ghost after 52 years. Excellent fit of this oven in the space left by the old one and the separate grill continues our tradition of cheese toasties. Heating is efficient and a light is on when the oven is in use. Suggest that a light switch should be an option. The external surface temperature of the oven does get very hot (suggesting better insulation might be needed), but is manageable. Its a great unit and I'm hoping it will also last 52 years!

Very happy with this oven. Was just going for a simple design as a temporary upgrade until I get a new kitchen but I actually like it, Very simple to use, no complicated functions. I think it will stay with the new kitchen. My first time cooking with electric and I like it.

We chose the oven but did not use all the features, so with our replacement we chose one that did the things we only use an oven for us. It fitted perfectly as it was exactly the same dimensions as the previous oven. The installer was generous with knowledge about this wall oven and took the COVID19 protocols as required. We were very happy with this service.The oven is quiet and quick to heat up. We have found it is ‘cooler’ than the previous oven. E.g. when we baked on 180° on our old oven we now have to use 200°, and 200 needs to go to 220°. The oven light is bright and seems a better fitting than the previous Chef Wall Oven which didn't last long. The oven is easy to clean.We don’t use the timer bell. It is a very short ‘buzzer’ which cannot be heard when not in the kitchen, so we use a separate analog buzzer.Overall we are happy with our new oven which complements the colours and fittings in the kitchen.
I bought a chef oven with separate grill, to replace my previous oven of the same description, which lasted roughly ten years. I was happy with the first, except that the timer had been broken for some years and of course it fit exactly into the space where the old one sat.. I kept the previous oven's grill tray and grid, as I had found it very useful in the oven, to bake things with water beneath particularly, so now I have a grill tray in the oven and beneath it. It slides in perfectly and also if you just need a bigger baking dish, there it is! Oven trays/dishes just sit on it nicely if you only require a shelf. It's not an oven with bells and whistles, but it's a practical and serviceable oven/grill that gets the job done nicely in my experience.
It is a beautiful oven. My previous oven which also a Chef Oven lasted us 33 years. It is a simple no frills oven which is why I picked it. It is quiet and will insulated. My only gripe with this new oven is that the timer alarm does not ring when set to 15 mins or less. And when it does ring it is a little whimper. A bit of a design or quality issue there.

Secondly, this one does not have a digital clock like my old one. Thirdly, the switch timer sound is so so so soft that you can't hear it when the time is up. It doesn't switch off the oven automatically when the time is up either although I didn't expect this feature. I don't know what this timer is for. Lastly, the fan rattles when it's on sounding dangerous. Purchased wall oven just over a month ago. Reaches required temperature quickly. Have been pleased with how it is cooking various recipes.Surprised it only has 2 cooking racks. I am glad I read the information book that came with it, as it advised me not to put anything on the bottom of the oven. This was not spoken about when purchasing the oven.
one thing i am dissapointed with is the timer on the oven. it doesnt make a sound and let you know when the time is up. l find that strange. you have a timer, for example i put it on to finish in 10 minutes and nothing. had to watch the clock.i must admit i was not overly happy with that particular aspect of the timing situation. i dont know if it is suppose to let you know with some sort of sound. !!
