Ok Dior. First I have to say, my favorite mascara EVER has always been Dior Diorshow so I was excited to use the iconic overcurl with this new primer. I also own the original Dior 3d lash maximizer (not serum formula) lash primer among a few more Dior products.. I started using Diorshow in my early 20's and here I am approaching 40 wondering what happened here!? It's the 3d maximizer base serum primer. Love Dior products, didn't love this base and here's why. I applied the base and it went on white, let it dry down only for about 15 seconds ish, I then went in with the Dior Iconic Overcurl and all hell broke loose for me. First it looked very thick yes! However separating my lashes more with my clean wand turned it into looking like I was from a strange planet and some of my lashes went into a V shape. They were lost, I panicked and girl, I thought they burned off, but wait....I removed everything and this time I used just the overcurl mascara and alas, my lashes that are long, blonde and straight got a really nice curve to them along with some standout color! Simple yet effective and like most Dior mascaras I'm pleased! I don't think the mascara can be used in tandem with the new serum base IMHO . *disclaimer: I did not curl my lashes before hand* I did not also try the base with any other mascara yet.

I’ve been using this mascara for almost a month. Here is a summary of what I think about it. It’s really good, but not the best. My first impression was “I like it but it didn’t wow me”. What I like about it is that it is really black, it keeps the lashes flexible even if you apply several coats and that is one of my favorite features. It stays on very well, does not flake or smudge and I live in a hot humid Florida. It is easier to remove than some of my other mascara despite how long wearing it is, i appreciate that very much as I don’t have to tug and pull and rub as much to remove it. At first, it wasn’t doing much for volume but did lengthen ok, it took time to build it up but after using it for a couple of weeks, it took less coats and less time to apply, ... MoreI’ve been using this mascara for almost a month. At first, it wasn’t doing much for volume but did lengthen ok, it took time to build it up but after using it for a couple of weeks, it took less coats and less time to apply, however it was clumping lashes a little more, but not bad at all especially if you take the time to comb through while it’s still wet. My lashes are naturally curly, and this mascara did not weigh them down after 2-3 coats like some other mascaras do, I like that a lot! Love the packaging of course but it’s what inside that matters most. The negatives: it kinda dries out faster, so I won’t be getting as much use out of it as out of some other mascaras. It could be a good thing though, because we should be replacing mascaras more often than we are. It gives length but I tried many that do a better job at it. Would i repurchase it? Very likely! Overall, It has been working for me and I love a lot of properties that I don’t get from other mascaras.

** I received the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara complimentary from Influenster in exchange for testing purposes and honest review. ** Diorshow’s Iconic Overcurl Mascara was inspired by professional curling irons and given a curved brush that will give you curling power and oversized volume, styling your lashes from top to bottom. Diorshow’s Iconic Overcurl is formulated with: - A nourishing lipid complex that is combined with ceramid helps to strengthen the lashes to prevent them from breakage - K-Polymer Formula gives you instant volumizing curls and long lasting wear by combining fixing polymers, lifting, and coating - Volumizing Complex, using waxes and oils, boosts smoothing, coverage, and adherence to give your lashes a dramatic lift - Plant Nectur Boost ... More** I received the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara complimentary from Influenster in exchange for testing purposes and honest review. ** Diorshow’s Iconic Overcurl Mascara was inspired by professional curling irons and given a curved brush that will give you curling power and oversized volume, styling your lashes from top to bottom. I was so excited to get this and try. I use to wear some of Dior’s beauty products back in college and had many favorites. The packaging at first screams luxury. Once I picked up the tube I was surprised that it was actually plastic, so for me it took a bit of the luxury feel away. But nonetheless the packaging is sleek and a beautiful design. I used it with and without the Diorshow Maximizer 3D Primer. It certainly works better with it. This took several attempts to get the mascara to work not look cakey. Every time I used my eyelashes had sections where they stuck to one another in clumps. The clumps were so bad that even my eyelash comb tool could barely separate my lashes. So I went back to the drawing board and used a cotton pad to scrape off the extra product on the wand. This helped big time and looked so much better after application! There were still areas that were clumped together but my tool was able to finally separate my lashes. The wands curl applicator gives you a lengthened curl but I didn’t see any additional volume to my lashes. All in all, once I played around with the product, and was able to find ways for a smoother application I liked the mascara. Removing the excess product and using my eyelash comb my lashes looked great. It did lengthen my eyelashes and the curved applicator curled my lashes well. Would I purchase? On the fence. As a SAHM I don’t have a lot of time to apply my makeup. While they did look great in the end I had to take extra time and do more work for them to. PROS: - Improved my eyelash length - Curled well and stayed in place up to 6 hours - I like the design of the curved applicator - Did not flake - Did not budge when I got stuck in a rain shower with an umbrella CONS: - Only Slightly volumized my lashes - Product is gloopy and drying - Messy. The wand takes out to much product. I have to use a cotton pad to scrape a bit off the end and side. It was not very useable when I didn’t scrape against a pad. - Eyelashes looked cakey with lashes stuck together. But once I began to remove the excess product from the applicator and use my eyelash comb they looked great. #diorshow #complimentary #voxbox
I received this Overcurl Diorshow mascara from Influenster awhile back (like 6 months) I've been trying it off on. I'm honestly trying to love it, but it's just an okay mascara for me. It's very goopy, but it seems the more I use it, the less goopy it gets. It has a curved brush, but it doesn't curl as much as some of my other mascaras. I usually use Lancome Monsieur Big mascara or Benefit Roller Lash mascara I think those 2 give me way more curl than this mascara does. I have to wear 2 coats if I want it to look dark enough. 1 coat looks very natural. I find that it gets a bit clumpy or I'll get the little balls at the ends of my lashes. I've tried this with the primer, without the primer, 1 coat, 2 coats. I don't hate it, but it's not my favorite mascara. I may have received a bad tube, because it took a lot of uses to get it to not be so super goopy. It's still kinda goopy, but gets less goopy the more I use it. It does come in a beautiful, silver tube that I absolutely love! This is about a 3.5 star product for me. Edit: this is from a Vox Box from a months ago. This is not this recent Vox Box.
I actually have a little bit of history with the Diorshow mascara (not iconic specifically). It was my first love when it came to mascara when I first started on my makeup journey. I have thin straight eyelashes, so imagine my surprise when someone actually complimented my eyelashes! That made me love Diorshow mascara so much! But just like with most first loves, I felt like I had to break up with it and try other brands. Diorshow did nothing wrong—I just wasn’t willing to commit to one brand so early :p So I was really excited when Influenster gave me the Diorshow Icon mascara to try! I wanted to know if the mascara (albeit not the same one I had before) was as good as I remembered. Unfortunately, it is not. It just does not work for my straight thin eyelashes. I wanted to know if the mascara (albeit not the same one I had before) was as good as I remembered. Unfortunately, it is not. It just does not work for my straight thin eyelashes. It does not keep my eyelashes curled. The curved brush doesn’t help at all, and makes things worse because it doesn’t follow the shape of my eyelashes. I work really hard to curl my eyelashes, and I get so sad when a mascara ruins my hard work and makes my eyelashes go straight again. Furthermore, the big fluffy brush does not work for my eyelashes either. It is really hard make sure the brush hits every eyelash. Smaller brushes work much better for me. I bet this mascara works for other people, but for anyone with thin straight eyelashes, I would take a hard pass. Alas, I think I made the right choice in breaking up with this mascara, but we’ll always have the memories (lol!).
I purchased Diorshow Iconic overcurl mascara from Dior.com.I have been using this kind of mascara for years its has been my favorite. I switched from catwalk to the Iconic when it became available. We’ve had recently moved and I do not have a store available in close vicinity that carriers Drior merchandise, therefore I thought Drior.com would be the best option. I purchased once the both mascara and the lush primer from Neiman Marcus and the lush primer brush came off. Needless to say I did not do it again, I thought Dior.com will be the safest way to go. After taking pictures and emailing to the agent it took about 4 e-mails back and forth finally the CS representative told me to send it back for exchange. I have been waiting and I hear nothing finally I called and she informed me that quality control will take about a month or so ! I needed mascara now - not a month from now. I told her that I need it now therefore I purchased a set of both from Dior.com and told her to cancel the first. The customer service has been non responsive I can’t reach her by the phone ( once after a few minutes wait it’s seems to me like the phone finally it’s answered and then click) disconnected and she keeps sending me generic E-mails. I am very frustrated and disappointed Dior should have a better representation.
I have very mixed feelings about this mascara. I was a die-hard TooFaced Better than Sex mascara user, but I was really tired of the flaking. So I tried this. The first few uses, the wand is super goopy but after that it's great. Once you figure out how to apply this right--it's amazing. Big beautiful lashes that HOLD a curl, which I have always struggled with. However, once your day is over and you go to take this off--GOOD LUCK. I don't even think it's waterproof. It's hurricane proof. I tried every different kind of make-up/mascara remover and nothing got it off well. It was so strong that my eyelashes were falling out. Any gal on the the GrandeLash routine will understand why this was my worst nightmare. So once I ran out, I decided to not repurchase. If Dior ... MoreI have very mixed feelings about this mascara. I remember buying this mascara 15 years ago and loving it. I kinda forgot about it with all the new mascaras, and Dior not so readily available. Let me tell you this mascara is better than Too Faced. Better than Benefit (and cheaper make that make sense) Chanel who? Lancôme what? It's better than any L'Oréal lies. it's worth every red cent. It keeps your lashes lifted separated and curled all day and night. No smudging. I don't bother with the waterproof you really don't need to unless you're going swimming. This is pretty waterproof on its own imo. And let me tell you the BROWN color is not just some funky flat brown. It's a dark brown almost black just not as harsh and it is just gorgeous for everyday. I truly recommend this mascara I'm so glad I found it again ... MoreI remember buying this mascara 15 years ago and loving it.
